Everything was set up and streamlined efficiently, and the owner and staff were so sweet and helpful, checking on everyone's progress and taking the time to answer any questions we had. The owner, who started this business during the COVID-19 pandemic, was so knowledgeable about scent creation and candle-making, and I'll definitely have to be back to sniff and buy some of her creations. In addition to her handmade candles, the store is also stocked with little trinkets, art, jewelry and collectibles from small local artists. It's always fun going shopping and seeing all the new seasonal items that they rotate in. It can get quite busy during peak times and during holidays, especially Christmas time. I ended up giving them a wash, hoping that the smell would disappear and it didnt, so today I tried and returned them with a receipt and original packaging and explained the situation. The manager at this store has been there for several years I think her name is "Elena" or "Helena"- she always has an attitude and is always extremely rude just by watching her when I visit the store and her interactions with other customers. She scolded me for washing them and said that she couldn't smell anything which is absolutely ridiculous. She said I was the FIRST PERSON EVER to return sheets at a HomeGoods for the smell. Even though it's all over Reddit as an issue. She said she'd do a "one time favor" but they can't be re-sold. They shouldn't have been sold to begin with without label stating they smell like chemicals. I brought her another sheets by the same brand and style so she could smell and she refused. Scolding a customer and then making me feel like I did the wrong thing by washing them to trying and get rid of the smell is insane when it literally says to do that on Google. One of the worst managers ever, i don't know how she has her job and represents the store to be honest.
