After being ill for 2+ days, I finally got hungry at 11:30 pm and being punjabi all I wanted was punjabi food. Even though they close at 11:30, they still cooked for me. The lamb chops are by far the best item on their menu. It is completely flavourful and done just right. The butter chicken was not overly spicy and creamy. The service is good and quick. Garlic naan was perfectly crispy and fluffy as was the stuffed naan. A real treat to have indian food in Italy. The owner himself is not the most pleasant individual as we had some issues with ordering a taxi and he refused to listen to us and went on doing what he wanted and then expected us to pay for an extra taxi which we had to told him not to order. We checked out Haveli during our trip to Florence from the US. The food was by far the best Punjabi food we've had in the world. After traveling to Italy after our wedding, we were seriously craving some indian food. While looking around for something to remind us of the food we missed at the wedding, we found this place almost by accident. Its no surprise that every cab driver we spoke with knew of this place. The food is delicious, that staff is really nice and extremely helpful and the ambience is pretty chill. At the end of our trip through Tuscany, there was no question on where we wanted to end our culinary tour of Tuscany. Even with a mishap of accidentally leaving my phone in the cab on the way to the restaurant, we had one of our most memorable meals. The staff was super helpful in trying to find the phone and even called both cab companies in the area to help us find the phone that had been lost before we even started evening. We will not forget our spectacular visits to this place and will go back the next time we are in the area. read more

My husband and I had been traveling Italy for a week and while we love Italian cuisine we were dying for some flavor and spice. We've been spoiled with great Indian food in Los Angeles and NYC and we were skeptical about trying this place but it is one of the best Indian restaurants we've been to. Brilliant. I came to the restaurant exactly when it closes and they told me that they are closed. I told them that I am extremely hungry and they were so awesome as to prepare a take away for me out of their sheer goodness. If you are in Florence and suddenly start craving Indian food, make sure you visit Haveli. It is situated close to the ferrovia. The owner and his family are very friendly. The food hits all the right notes. We ordered chole, dal, paneer, bhaingan bharta ( we were really hungry) and everything was yummm. The service was fast but we didn't feel rushed. Who would have thought my best meal in italy would have been at this Indian restaurant? I've been relatively clueless about Indian food for a while, but this place has shown me the light. Try the honey chicken or tika marsalla (check my spelling). These guys were also so nice and hospitable. Such a treat, that we went there twice. They also brought out 3 different types of Indian liquor for us to try, on the house. Love it! read more

Awesome place! The food is authentic and very tasty. The service is excellent. My wife and I needed a place to satisfy our Indian cravings in Italy after feeding on pasta and pizza. We visited this placed multiple times for dinner and lunch. Never went back disappointed. Their paneer dishes, dhal, and the Aloo appetizer were all very good. We tried out the other Indian restaurants in town but this place was easily hands down the best. First time to Florence from NJ/NY area and just finished our dinner from Haveli. Walked in with my wife and 2 kids (11 and 9) after a good 45 min walk and was welcomed by Kenny. Got complementary papad. Ordered the food and the first thing our 11 yr old says - this tastes so much like dadi's (aka grandma). Keep it up Kenny and team.
