Have to say it was difficult. It was kind of sloppy and really didn't have like a starting point to work your way down the line. It was all over the place. Which isn't that much fun, might I add. It was very dark in there not much light. So many riddles to solve in such a small amount of time. It was a lot to take in at once. The host of our room might I add was very nice. We didn't ask for many clues, because we like to brainstorm and trying to figure it out without asking for too many clues. I would not likely return to do another room at this location. On to the next room!!

The puzzles were quite creative and I really appreciated not having too many 'find the combo/key to this lock' puzzle, but some of the props/room seemed really worn and the workers at the escape room didn't seem all too stoked to help us out with clues or actively moderating the room.

The gentleman running the rooms today was hands down the best I have seen in 20+ escape rooms. He was friendly and super helpful and you could absolutely tell he was enjoying his job. It was an outstanding start and finish to our experience! We did O'Bannions with a group of two and had just enough time. We felt the puzzles had just the right level of challenge and the room setup is excellent. We are already looking forward to coming back for the other rooms here. If you are looking for the best escape rooms in DFW you just found them. Highly recommended!

We came here to celebrate a birthday this weekend and had a great time. Our game master (I believe…read morehis name was Sean?? Don't remember though, sadly) was funny and interactive and the room itself was one of the most realistic and non-prop-looking I've ever seen. We did Wong's Chinese and were impressed by the real story touches to the set. All the puzzles felt good to solve and we had the perfect amount of hints to snag what we never would've noticed. Having a group of 8 worked to our advantage, and we were able to score top of the leaderboard, which was also cool. I'd recommend this place. It's a bit hard to find in an office building, but nothing too crazy. Warning: I've heard the Pharaoh one is very hard!!

As an escape room lover, this place really disappointed…read more This review will explain why without giving away any spoilers. In the mafia themed escape room: - one of the compartments was stuck, meaning we couldn't get the next clue even though we did the clue correctly. When we talked to the manager, she said that the drawer gets stuck and they have to push the drawer in hard to get it to close. At that point, isn't that a sign to fix the sticky compartment?? - one of the flashlights was dying so it was difficult to properly complete one of the clues. - the set up of one of the clues is not clear, and once you mess it up, you're kind of screwed for the final clue. - The most unforgivable disappointment was that two of the props were switched. The wrong one was laid out, and the one meant to be laid out was locked away in a box, meaning the code was wrong, so we couldn't get the clue and the code made no sense. More detailed disappointments my group and I noticed but might be particular to just us: - no sound cues. Usually in all other escape rooms we've done, there's at least a sound that indicates that you got the clue, something opened, or a light turned on or off. If you're in 3 rooms at once with a small number of people (we only had 4), then it's extremely difficult to understand that one clue led to the next hint in a different room. - not all the clues are super relevant to the theme and felt kind of gimmicky, which was a bit of a bummer. - the game master didn't seem very enthusiastic. Part of the experience is to feel immersed in the situation, but being flatly explained what's going on (which we already read in the description) didn't feel like we were leaving behind the real world and entering into our story. - the walls are so thin! The walkie talkie to connect with the game master was dying/cutting out frequently, but we could actually hear them clearly through the walls. Additionally, we could hear their conversations and their laughter in all three rooms we were there. This place gets 2 stars instead of 1 because it doesn't seem like they made the story themselves, so they can't be blamed for the story itself. The game master read one of the keys for the clues to us from a manual, but couldn't explain more in depth because "that was all that was given in the packet." Also, the escape room game themes are pretty unique; I haven't ever seen or heard of a mafia escape room, so that was interesting. I can't really say I recommend this place, or maybe it's just this room. RIP my money.

Not a fan of this particular escape room. A few things to note:…read more 1. Staff was nice but minimally trained and really struggled to run the room. 2. Much of the "challenge" of our room came from having to struggle to guess what clues went to what. All combination locks were four or five digit number locks and there were a substantial number of red herrings. Often, puzzles could not be solved without leaps of logic or re-using old clues. I would rather the difficulty have come from more puzzles than simply trying to confuse the players. 3. The room was quite small, even for four people, and yet could be booked for substantially more. Unfortunately, compared to other escape rooms, I don't find this one to be particularly good. Can't recommend.

Short and sweet version of my experience: Long lines, poor…read moreorganization, rap music while you wait was nice. Some conflicting ideologies were presented as well. This is not a haunted house. It's a series of skits designed to scare Jesus into you. Throughout the trip I felt really uncomfortable and confused. Like really uncomfortable. It wasn't fun and I was RELIEVED when they let the atheists out first to get "t-boned." Honestly, the most horrifying thing about Hell House was all the brain-washing of young kids that seems to be going on here. Plus, I'm fairly certain they're violating some piracy laws by showing clips of the Passion of the Christ. My take away from all this: victims are to blame for all their problems. Everyone is going to hell unless they believe in Jesus. Also, rich white kids are horrible at channeling the complex social issues their poorer peers experience. It reminds me of how Marie Antoinette would dress up and play "peasant." Privileged children pretending to be sex abuse victims made me literally laugh out loud at some points. I almost felt like I was watching the Disney Channel. Go for a laugh though, it'll take awhile but it is worth it if you're drunk enough.

I am not a churchgoer. Organized religion works well for some people but I'm very much of the…read more"whatever floats your boat, just keep it to yourself" way of thinking. BUT Hell House is such a icon of crazy religiosity that when I realized it was only 30 minutes away, I had to check it out. There's a documentary streaming on Netflix if you want to learn a little about it. I've never been before but I do have to say, I was mildly disappointed. The preview on their website was bananas and while there was some WTF zaniness present last night, there wasn't near the amount of rape, incest, or drug abuse we expected. Lame! We thought there was going to be alot of waiting but we timed it just right that we barely had to wait at all. The waiting was also made more pleasant by the boozed up Limeades we had brought along. I would not recommend going into Hell House sans buzz.. There is an ominous hayride into the woods and then you wait a little outside a bunch of trailers. The first lame thing was that you could hear the fake gunshots from the line so you were like immune to it by the time you got in there. The shooting scenes were the least climactic parts, surprisingly. The concept is that each scene shows people being encouraged by demons to do bad, bad things like not be Christian, deal drugs, beat their wife, have an abortion, go to a party, etc. Another lame thing: the "death monitors" that usher you through the rooms are really annoying -they yell at you and are "mean" but in the silliest way possible. Ours kept telling us we walked slower than her grandma and "she's really old." Zing, Death Monitor! What wasn't lame was the abortion scenario -it was clearly the scene they put the most effort into. The girl who acted as the nurse demon was really funny and good at delivering her didactic, misguided anti-choice rhetoric. They pulled out some "baby chunks" and showed them around to the crowd and one of the death monitors said "Mmmmmm." And the fake abortion doctor's name was Dr. Tiller. Stay classy, Hell House. The nurse shouted to us as we left the room "November 2nd vote to keep me in office!" Nice touch. There was also a really odd scenario about human trafficking. It basically said that if you are a teenage girl who drinks and goes to a party to hook up with a guy you like you will be sex trafficked by him. Yeah. It gets really hot and stinky in Hell House cos it's mostly sweaty teens and tweens in there with you and when someone farts, it is very apparent. They cram you into a upright coffin and one point and it's pretty scary, mostly because there were four of us in there and it got a little intimate. Does Hell House encourage 4 person 7 Minutes in Heaven? Kind of. Except that you don't actually reach "heaven" until they finally let you out of the coffins and watch a video montage including (but not limited to) I Am Sam and a bootleg Passion of the Christ torture scene. Hell was surprisingly silly, just a dark room with a strobe light and some bandaged bloody demons running around growling at us. Then you go in a room and a pastor says something about how we might go to Mickey D's and die tonight and what if we aren't saved? We didn't get saved and we didn't go to McDonald's that night but we were entertained.
