Our tour was called "Downtown-n-Underground" which is a better description than just "Haunted". It took about 75 minutes. We started at Basin Spring Park - right in the center of town with a history of how things started. Megan, our guide, then took us below ground to where buildings were centered prior to moving upward due to mudslides. For much of the rest of the tour, we traversed the main business street really from one end to the other (Spring St) with architectural history, stories about buildings, stories about the town at various points in time, and another spring at the far end. You finish about 3 blocks from where you start - a gradual uphill. Megan was great; didn't need a script; answered all questions and ensured everyone could see everything. Great intro to Eureka Springs. Interesting there were 10,000 people living here in the late 1800s, and now just over 2,000. read more

Definitely way more historical than haunted, but fun nonetheless. The promised catacombs are really just a short hallway/tunnel (you do get to walk through a hidden door in a wardrobe which I think makes the whole experience worthwhile), but it was a really interesting piece of history. Super fun to go to the headquarters and check out the haunted dolls and Knick knacks. I definitely learned a lot about the town and enjoyed the evening walk, even if I definitely didn't see any ghosts or feel scared. Our tour Roz (hopefully I'm spelling that right) was great, and she even demonstrated using a pendulum to communicate with spirits after the tour was finished. Highly recommend for people who enjoy spooky history but not necessarily being scared. read more

Maybe this deserves 1.5 stars. Went to Eureka Springs for a girls' weekend & what are some fun things to do while in town? Ghost tour I suppose since Eureka is thought to be one of the most haunted towns in the South. We booked the underground "Ghost Hunt". There were 4 of us & another couple who reserved a 3:30 pm time slot. You meet at one place but then walk up the street to the actual "catacombs" entrance. Before going underground, a tour lady provided some history of the town & how Dr. Baker of the now infamous Crescent Hotel, scammed hundreds of patients who died in the hotel of cancer when it was a hospital. Giving them some fake potion to cure cancer, Dr. Brown tortured patients while making money off of them. He supposedly used the underground tunnels to transport the bodies to funeral homes to avoid being seen. So I'm thinking we're going to go underground all over the city. Then I see the price: $10 each & didn't expect much. But I did expect a little more! You basically go into a hallway that's not even underneath the town. The lady gave us "tools" to ghost hunt such as an electrical meter, a temperature gun, a book of answers (which made no sense) & some cell phones with a ghost app (seriously?). I'm pretty sure they pumped cold air into the hallway at times & the tools were rigged. The pendulums were the most interesting (to me) & she didn't push us to buy one. Probably would not recommend this. The Crescent Hotel ghost tour is much better. read more

Katie and Ghost were the best tour guides. This was one of my favorite parts of my trip to eureka springs! I learned so much about the history of ES and the springs that run under the town during this tour and that was very cool. If you're nice, and lucky, you might get a little bonus cave tour after the catacombs but I didn't tell ya that. Our only issue was that my confirmation email said the tour started at 44 S Main when they actually started at the courthouse. Luckily we ran into another tour and were told where to go. read more

It was much more of a history tour than haunted tour. It was cool to learn about the origins of the city, however very few haunted stories, it was weird. The guide mentioned she hasn't done a tour in 6 months, probably shouldn't mention that. She wasn't dressed in character at all and basically dismissed and downplayed anything she mentioned might be haunted, once again, kinda weird. We saw the next tour starting and the guide was dressed up and seemed charismatic. The tour had way more people than I expected, hardly any walking around and guide talked more about the individual hotels being haunted making us feel that maybe we should have done one of those tours. I'm glad I did it so that i was out on the town at night and learned about eureka springs, it just wasn't very haunted. read more

How anyone could rate this tour anything less than 5-stars is beyond us! We had a fantastic time and all for less than $20 per ticket. Steve was our tour guide and is a master at story telling. Lots of great spooky and interesting stories all within just a couple of blocks of this cool old town. And getting to go into the 65' stretch of underground tunnels was my childhood dream come true! Me and 3 other friends booked the "Ghost Hunt" underground tour for $10/each. It was cheap so we weren't expecting much, but we all were completely let down. So we're the other people in our tour group. The tour guide was woman who was great at speaking and giving some background history of the city. She made us very excited for the whole experience. We then walked a few blocks over to go to the underground "catacombs". We all thought we were going to be exploring all kinds of cool tunnels and what not. What they do not tell you is it's literally one hallway and incredibly too small for 11 people to do any actual ghost hunting. Complete crock of shit if I'm being honest! We had a great time on the 8:30 shuttle tour! The guide was so much fun! He kept us laughing and interested the whole ride! I booked looking for a no traditional tour of Eureka Springs and got exactly what I was hoping for. We made 3 stops where we we able to get out and here more, at the end of the trip we were able to go into a section of the Catacombs that are under main st. I only wish we could have went into some of the buildings we stopped at or gone on a longer tour of the catacombs! However for the price you can't beat the history and tour you get! read more

The lady that gave our tour should not be a tour guide. She spoke extremely fast and never gave us time to digest the boring stories that she would try to back up with low-res photos in a black binder she kept shoving in our faces. It was terrible and disappointing. If you want to walk up and down Eureka Springs and use a flashlight to peer into buildings that haven't been rented out (OOOOH DIRTY BUILDINGS ARE SO SPOOKY!), I guess this is a good tour for you. I guess I was just expecting more than "yeah, someone died in there." She tried to sell us pendulums that were obviously bought in bulk, saying they all came from the same "Haunted Chandalier" that was at the end of the tour. Sure, Linda, the plastic turquoise and rose quartz you're trying to sell us for 30$ is definitely 100 years old and believable. I wouldn't recommend this tour to anyone. read more

Saturday 8pm tour Just under $55 for two adults on a "bus tour." Our email asked us to be there 15 min early as the tour started promptly at 8pm. We were there as directed, 7:45pm. After listening to a screaming 2 yr old who came w/his parents and waiting for everyone to use the lone, disgusting toilet, we headed across the street to be picked up by an old tour bus w/blacked out windows and a non working a/c unit at almost 8:45pm. We thought for sure the tour would last past its allotted two hours, nope, it ended right at 10pm. Our guide was a woman who told us the following: -She came for a vacation in Eureka Springs and loved it so much she decided to stay. She then went home told her husband and they moved there to live w/all their kids. -She has lost over 100 lbs, she was a Goth kid that grew up into a Goth adult. -She used to be a guide at the Crescent Hotel but she left to come to this joint because she loved the paranormal. -We took the Crescent Hotel tour the night before and this tour was word for word what we were told on the Crescent Hotel tour. - Several days earlier, she has been pushed down the stairs by an unseen entity in the room you'll end with. -NO children should ever be allowed on this tour, especially screaming toddlers that are barefoot and tired. -Although the tour is done by a van, at the very end you are dropped off at a VERY steep set of dark stairs and told to meet the guide downstairs. -After going inside a black room with a lot of cheap, Chinese made "amulets" , blacked out walls and more steep stairs to nowhere, you are nowhere near where you started. -DO NOT even attempt to go into the sealed off tunnel as it is claustrophobic, hot and uneventful. When my wife asked where the front door was so we could leave, the tour guide said "Down the stairs, make a right and you're literally there." What she didn't tell us that once you went down another dark steep set of stairs, walked about 2 blocks, then you needed to go down yet another set of steep dark stairs to get on the street where we were advised to park. This is NOT a tour for older folks, people who have trouble with stairs or walking in the dark. We couldn't get out of there fast enough and this was the first time EVER that my wife did not leave a generous tip for the tour guide. The only thing paranormal about this tour was how much we paid for the tour. Two stars for the historical information. read more

One of my favourite things to do in a historic city is to take a ghost walk, and this was especially so in Eureka Springs, founded in the mid 1800s, and one of the most haunted towns in the USA. We were able to get on a late tour starting at 1030 pm and which lasted until midnight. This was perfect for us because we love doing these late in order to get more activity. The walking tour was lead by GG who was just a superb guide, very knowledgable on the town history and the different locations we stopped at. In total I think we walked just over a mile. I liked that each participant was given a pendulum that we used in different areas to see if there was any ghost activity, and some of us got Electromagnetic detection boxes. The tour had a number of stops and at each stop we found out about the different hauntings that that taken place at that site. One of the interesting facts was that there are streams running under the whole town which is built on limestone which creates for a lot of energy -- great for ghost activity. Having said that we were not able to detect anything on our tour, and I think some of the stories are exaggerated for effect. read more

Overall cheesy, with little information. Very displeased with with the guides directives for mask wearing, he stated it was "required in the shops but y'all can do what you want". The larges group gathered on the street with little distancing should require facial coverings. The "jokes" about Jeffrey Epstein were a little off color too. Maybe next time I'm in Eureka Springs, I'll take the real ghost tour "up on the hill". read more

I loved this tour! Sophie was very knowledgeable about the history of the town and the places we went to on the tour. She was also an excellent storyteller! The use of the pendulums, EMF detectors, and Ghost Hunting Tools app definitely added an element of spooky to the tour!
