Great for what it is but probably not a prime choice for heterosexual Southern Baptist types who are in town for a weekend of Bible study and Trump worship.) You really need to stop by these historic springs if you're in the Eureka Springs area -- lots of doctors and artists (and temperance advocate Carrie Nation!) lived in this area a hundred and twenty years ago. Lots of nearby bars and restaurants, as well as shops and galleries. (This is just around the bend from Main Street, for Pete's sake.)

Lots of uneven roots and rocks though. We returned on Beacham Trail, just slightly inland of fuller, but it parallels it completely. It was quite a bit more flat and easier to navigate if you have any foot or ankle concerns. Lovely trails! Full bathrooms at the campground. And a GREAT playground for kids!

It was quite irritating to have to stop at the gate. I already knew it was free entry, but an older women practically stepped out in front of my Jeep. She was nice, but she didn't provide us with hardly any info after rambling on about everything except why we were there. Then she shoved a flyer at me, asked us where we were from, and said a donation would be cool. About the area to leading to the statue... By the time we got to Eureka Springs on 7.23.2025 it was so hot already. I tried my best to keep my dog on cooler grounds, but she ran on the hot pavement anyway. It is a short walk to the statue and a nice lookout area. I suggest everyone go on more walkabouts and contemplate their relationship with Jesus. Public restrooms were available, but not all that clean. Wheelchairs were available to borrow, but come on... you can muster the strength to walk to Jesus... Completed in 1966, this gleaming white statue stands at seven-stories tall. There was an informational sign on Jesus's back side. Dogs were not allowed at The Great Passion Play, so that was a big no for us even if they had a showing. We did not peruse any shops near the gate. Everything seemed too commercialized for my taste. I dedicate this review to my Aunt Dena who died today (8.27.2025) after an 8-year battle with cancer. RIP precious lady!

I found the way this is set up on the map to be confusing…read more We went to see the statue - yet found out that there's an entrance gate about 1/4 mile from it at "The Great Passion Play Sign" and everything beyond that is part of a big complex including the statue itself, a holy land tour, a bible museum, a sacred heart building, a chapel, and a section of the Berlin Wall. There was a huge outdoor area seating around 4,000 for a "Passion Play". There was also a gift shop, and many hiking trails. Didn't expect that. People that worked there were very friendly. I see it as a very good cause - ideal for evangelical types; yet can easily fit others.

Whimsical and amusing juxtaposed against the wilderness trails. Was it worth my $4 - yes! Would it have been worth it at full price of $12 - uuhhh... Ok, I am on vacation and I've spent more for less before; but I couldn't recommend it for a large traveling family. It was nice to have the entire trail and area to ourselves. The trail signs do need a makeover since they are unreadable. 3 stars for value, rounding up to 4 for the benefit of keeping Americana roadside attractions open.

I loved the park's artistic flair and was very excited to see the creativity in the musical instruments. I liked it so much, when passing through this past Saturday in the freezing cold I just had to stop and share the experience with my dad. Even though it was freezing we were able to enjoy checking out the additional pieces which have been added since my last visit. Many of the threes had been wrapped in quilted creative pieces making the park bright like something out of Dr Seuss!!

I'm focusing on more than that since the city's website details this: "The park has 6.45 acres and contains a playground, Skate Park, restrooms, Dog Park and recently constructed Arvest Bank platform for performances." About the playground area... Free parking. For little kids, the hike up might be a little steep for little legs and strollers. The area was trash free. Many shade trees. The activities were spread out. The skate park was small, but so is the town. What it is - A beautiful chapel in the mountains of Arkansas. One man's dream that he almost didn't complete. Now it is a beautiful example of his dream fulfilled and a great spot for your wedding ceremony. I didn't get married here, but my introduction to this chapel was a wedding 25 years ago, where I was the best man. I came back over the holiday with my kids. We arrived, and there was a sign notifying us that a ceremony was going on, so we came back on a different day. It was just as beautiful as I remembered. It is truly a site to behold. What it isn't - Remember when I said a ceremony was going on when we first arrived? This is a place where people get married. If you were getting married and some yahoo from Louisiana showed up with his two kids dressed casually, you wouldn't particularly like it. So don't drive from far away and definitely don't try to interrupt someone's wedding.

Sadly, the loving care that was once evident everywhere is no longer there. The cabins are in serious need of maintenance. I called a few times prior to finally booking online because I couldn't catch anyone on the phone. Our keys were pinned to a corkboard at the office when we arrived around 3:25 pm. When we checked out the next morning at 8:36, there was also no one in the office, although a housekeeping(?) vehicle drove past us to the cabin. It was a very impersonal experience and not at all what I experienced as a child and also when I returned with my own young children years ago. I did text and call Kelly as I would have preferred to give this feedback in person, as well as settle my account. No shampoo or body wash in the bathrooms, but there were some soap bars. Bring a hair dryer - there isn't one. Pro tip: We didn't think there was a bath mat, but it was folded under the tissue holder on the back of the toilet. Water was hot and the pressure was decent. Our cabin (no 2) had gray hairs on one of the pillowcases and the sheets had multiple tiny holes. There was a streak of black on the ceiling of our cabin above the bed that might have been mold but honestly am not sure. The expensive tv ads that run in the DFW and OKC market could be better spent on Thompson's water seal for the exteriors and refreshing the ancient carpet and sheets/beds. That said, if you think of it as a glamping experience it might not be so bad. Sadly, this will most likely be our last visit here. Giving it two stars for the creek and river views.

The river is 45 degrees so not swimmable for me, but the lake is a 3 minute drive away and it's a nice place to spend the day. The water is sulphuric so I recommend you bring some bottled water for drinking/cooking. Also, bring bug spray because the skeeters and flies will eat you alive! you get a free river float trip if you stay at least 3 nights. Not far from eureka springs either if you're a shopper!
