Hatoya is an amazing matcha shop located on Spring Mountain and Jones near Mala Town. There's good parking. Grand opening was on March 27, 2026. Inside is a cozy atmosphere with a few seating and relaxing music playing awesome R&B. Menu offers a nice selection of matcha, latte, tea, hojicha, ice cream, shake, and pudding. I ordered Straight Matcha (Original Matcha, $6), super refreshing! Matcha is freshly made upon order. The owner Edward did a wonderful job demonstrating how matcha drink is prepared, he showed the process step-by-step, and it's a very nice presentation to see in action! Also tried Matcha Pudding ($5.50), absolutely delightful! It's a small cup with creamy milk pudding topped with delicious matcha, very light and not too sweet, I love it! They have Hojicha ice cream too! I tried Hojicha on the side (1 small scoop, $4.50), such a lovely sweetness, creamy smooth, and splendid! Service from Ariel, Edward, Sala, and Bea is very kind, welcoming, attentive, helpful, and friendly! I'm excited to try Joyo3 Matcha next, it's one of their biggest seller, and Matcha Latte with shiratama (sticky rice ball) and ice cream matcha sounds YUM!

For matcha lovers, it's exciting to see this popular matcha brand from Kyoto, Japan open its first location in the U.S.. It's located on the corner of a little shopping plaza in Chinatown. They've only been open about a month and apparently the line can get long but it was pleasantly not busy on a Sunday afternoon. The inside is small with just a few tables. It's set up so you can watch them whisking the matcha drinks right in front of you. They take their time making the drinks and answering questions while taking orders, so I can see why a line can form sometimes. I tried an Iced Original Matcha Latte ($8) with strawberry puree ($1.50). I was tempted to add a scoop of matcha ice cream but I couldn't bring myself to pay almost $15 for a latte. My drink was well made though and the matcha flavor really shined. The strawberry syrup is made fresh in-house and is more of a puree. It added a nice sweetness but I would've liked the flavor to come through a little bit more. If you're wanting an authentic matcha experience without having to go to Japan, this is your spot.

The quality of matcha is amazing! The hojicha is also very good! The cup size is small, but if you ever made your own matcha it makes a lot of sense. Smaller cups bring out the flavor of the matcha. It doesn't come sweetened, so you must add sugar. It's not super sweet like other places. It is a bit pricey at $7 a cup. We came in on the Saturday after grand opening and waited about 45 minutes. I would recommend to try it if you're a matcha/hojicha connoisseur. The service is great. Employees are kind and working as fast as they can to get the drinks out. Ambiance inside is modern and attractive. Never been to a matcha shop where the front is just them hand-mixing matcha in front of you.

I have been here three times and can confidently say this is the best matcha spot in town for an authentic matcha experience. Hatoya brought their high quality matcha to Las Vegas and have kept the experience unapologetically Japanese. Do not expect sweet matcha here, they want you to enjoy the actual matcha flavor versus syrups and sauces. If you do like it sweet they have house made syrups, I recommend brown sugar or strawberry. They have tiers of matcha ranging from a $7 or $8 latte I believe up to a $13 Joyo matcha which has an umami flavor. I think the staff does a great job making sure you have a full experience where you learn something new which helps that higher price point feel justified lol The vibe inside is pretty standard, nothing crazy unique. I do think it's the best how ever I wouldn't be able to make it My go to with how busy it is. I do highly recommend trying it once to see what the hype is about if you like matcha.

This plaza is a great spot to visit if you want good food and desserts all in one area. Parking can be limited during busy hours, so be prepared. During the grand opening, the lines were very long, but we finally got to try their matcha drinks. I really liked the matcha latte because the matcha flavor was strong and rich. The hojicha latte was also good, but I personally preferred the matcha shake. The interior is very interesting and modern, with a unique pickup system for orders. My only downside is that the space feels a bit tight when it gets crowded, and the drinks are a little pricey for the cup size in my opinion. Worth to try if you are a fan of matcha.

Hatoya will probably be the most debated on matcha place in Las Vegas I waited about 10 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. So it's not always super busy. My matcha was spot on, just like Japan The Hojicha was a bit off that didn't taste like Japan. (Proly will skip this next fine) They also ran out of Hojicha ice cream so that was sad So having been to Hatoya in Japan This is the gonna be the closest to authentic Matcha. (In Japan) It's grassy, barely sweet and hand whisked for every order. That is the flavor profile of most lattes in Japan Hot water + Quality Matcha + choice of milk And even when they do add sweetener is like 25% sweet when you compare to American cafes Most places aren't even serving more than a 10oz drink as well So with that said it's much different than the 7(kind of an exaggeration) other options of matcha you have within a 5 min drive of Hatoya I get the excitement and the expectation but if you like super sweet or creamy matcha. I'd advise going elsewhere. It's a small space and they hand whisk every drink so they aren't gonna be cranking out drinks that fast As for the complaints in prices. The matcha is obviously going to be upcharged. I also think that if you're going get ice cream and the works you shouldn't be ordering the highest matcha quality but that's just me. (And sometimes ordering the highest quality matcha doesn't always mean better taste) Hopefully this brings some clarity when deciding!

So I came to visit here during their grand opening. I stood in line for about an 1hr 1/2. Would I say that it was worth it? Eh... especially for the price. Don't get me wrong, you could tell that the quality of the matcha was great. If you like overly sweet matcha, this isn't for you. We tried 3 things, and the mochi balls were great in my drink. The only downside is that paying almost $40 for 3 drinks is really expensive.

My best friend and I came back to this cafe to try the hojicha and ice cream topping. At around 3pm on Sunday afternoon, there was no queue at all. It seemed like the hype had come to an end. Joyo3 Matcha Latte with Matcha Ice Cream | According to the barista 4 grams of matcha powder were used for this latte, which was evident. We chose the regular milk option for our latte this time. We believe that oatmilk enhances the nuttier flavor, but regular milk was alright as well. ~Matcha Ice Cream | The matcha flavor was average. The texture of ice cream was disappointing. It was icy and slushy instead of smooth and creamy, not worth $4.50! Hojicha Latte | It had that usual a toasty flavor and not grainy compared to similar establishments. It had the same taste as any other hojicha, just average. Price: Although the price was higher than the average matcha place, the quality was not significantly inferior. We spent $47 for 3 drinks LOL! Service: Since there was no line and it was not busy, the employee who took orders had more time to recommend types of milk, describe matcha/hojicha, and let guests smell the powder. Parking: Plenty in the parking lot.

    The line ekkk

Long line just because 1. They do hand mix prep and do the whole ceremonial matcha way 2. Because they are still new. Ambiance the space has no table inside just benches to sit and wait to be called so u can up on the counter and they can pour the GT and do the whole poring in-front of you. As u wait to be called you will see how they do the preparation the mixing etc in-front of you. The inside is clean small but very nice ambiance and vibe. The drinks are good pretty much high grade green tea i cant compare with japan and all but so far locally its very good and strong. But as GT can be very strong its not for me, i like it a little sweeter side. Overall its not bad to try it was fun watching it being mix and being ready in front of you, which makes it different from all the other matcha places in vegas. Also the price is pretty steep for a matcha which I get it they must be using very high grade GT powder.

4.2.26 - been seeing this new spot on IG since their soft/grand opening end of March and wanted to try it so my cousin and I went after lunch. There was a bit of a line but it wasn't too bad. When you get in, there is someone directing you to have a seat, then go up to order when it's your turn. I already knew this place was going to be expensive after looking up the menu and reading reviews beforehand but still wanted to give it a try. We were going to go with the Original Matcha Lattes but both ended up switching to the Salted Matcha Latte ($7) instead. Added a scoop of matcha ice cream ($4.5) to each cup. After ordering, they give you a number and you go sit down again. Then when your drinks are next, they call your number to come up and let you record the process of them making your drink. Most likely the cause of the wait time and lines. Everyone here is so friendly and polite. Spent $24.93 on 2 drinks! Yikes! Matcha for sure was good quality. Salted matcha does not have milk in it. I should've went with my first choice. This one wasn't bad though. We just mixed in the salted cream and ice cream. Delicious but expensive!

Bummed because they ran out of the matcha ice cream, hence I deducted 1 . Quick visit because we were in the area, thankfully parking was easy and the line wasn't too bad maybe 6 patrons ahead of us. Cashier was pleasant and gave us recommendations. We watched her make the drinks and she asked if we were satisfied with them prior to walking away. And yes they were. The serving size is a bit small for the cost of the drink but ehhh it is what it is. Def would come back if in the area as long as they have ice cream.

Left: Midori Middle: Roasted Right: Joy3
    Crystal L.

Hatoya is the real deal -- you can absolutely taste the difference that Kyoto-sourced Uji matcha makes. We tried three drinks: the Midori, the Roasted Matcha, and the Joy3. The standout was hands down the Roasted Matcha -- deep, earthy, and complex in a way that felt genuinely special. The layered presentation with the matcha gelato on top is stunning and the mochi boba was a nice touch. That said, the price point is where things get a little iffy. For a 16oz drink, you're paying a premium that'll make you pause -- especially if you're ordering for a group. The quality is undeniable, but whether it justifies the cost depends on how serious you are about your matcha. If you're a matcha lover who appreciates the craft, Hatoya is absolutely worth a visit. If you're just curious, go in knowing what you're signing up for pricewise. Start with the Roasted Matcha -- it's the one.

    Salted Hojicha Latte
    Crystal L.

Stopped by on a early Friday afternoon: (9/10) Salted hojicha latte - super good, the sea salt cream is sweet already so there is no added sugar and mixing it with the hojicha, it tasted so good. One of the best I've tasted in a while! The shop is pretty small just a couple tables with seats. Wait time was short and workers are friendly. Drinks are on the pricier side (paid over $7 for my drink with no mods) especially if you end up adding toppings and milk/sugar substitution. My friend got the sticky rice balls/shiratama but it was sorta hard/ not very chewy since they are just being kept in an ice bath. There is a restroom and parking in the plaza.

I've visited this place a few times now and I thought I wrote a review a long time ago... but I…read moreguess now. So here's my review... I enjoy coming here for the food however the layout of the sitting is a bit cramped inside. When there's a line waiting to order and then a lot of ppl sitting down eating there's really no room to move around so it's a bit uncomfortable. Now for the food, I absolutely love their mochi beignets. It has a sprinkle of matcha powdered sugar and it's just so yummy! Best eaten warm and be warned, it gets messy with the powdered sugar. Second thing that I love are the fresh mango mochi, with or without the cream - they are both delish! I had also tried their butter squash soup (it's a seasonal item) and I also enjoyed it very much, it was rich and creamy and I wanted to drink a gallon of it. I like the concept of the egg sandos however it was difficult to eat and then became quite messy. So I'll pass on those in the future. I actually haven't tried their chocolate cake but my boyfriends manager loved it the first time I got it for her so I've gotten it a couple more times for her bcs she said it's the best cake she's ever had. Parking in this shopping center is crazy. I think a lot of ppl park across the street at the 99 Ranch Market and walk over. If you are dining in, they have outdoor seating as well. They do have a server but I believe there's only one so they are bringing out the food, grabbing stuff, cleaning off tables... but there's still some self service aspect as well so it might be more helpful if they either hire more servers or make it all self service and ppl go pick up their own food when it's ready. When I dined in, my mom and I had to wait quite a bit to flag the lady working to ask for boxes and stuff. All in all I enjoy this place and I like how they do seasonal items.

We first visited Moignet last year and really enjoyed it, especially the mango mochi with cream…read more The moignets themselves were good too, though not necessarily something that completely wowed me. We ended up coming back during our most recent trip because we were craving the mango mochi again, but this visit left me a little disappointed compared to our first experience. It felt like there was less cream this time, and the mangos were noticeably more sour than before. I personally think using Asian mangos would make a huge difference since they tend to be much sweeter and more flavorful. The shop itself is still cute and worth trying at least once, but I do hope the consistency improves because I know how good it can be!
