He walked through the venue with us multiple times, both before and after booking, and again with our coordinator right before the event, which made us feel so comfortable going into the day. The venue also has a wonderful inventory of tables, linens, umbrellas, and other essentials, and Willie made sure everything was set up in a way that worked perfectly for our event. We also really appreciated the flexibility to bring in our own vendors! Bankers Hill Club is truly such a hidden gem in San Diego. Our guests loved the beautiful views and market lights on the patio, and the indoor space was perfect for our DJ and dancing later in the evening. We were so happy with our experience and would absolutely recommend Bankers Hill Club for a wedding or special event!

My late afternoon reception was held in the grassy, palm tree-lined section of Luce Court & Legacy Plaza, cocktail hour was in the patio area of McMillin Companies Event Center, and the dinner recption was inside McMillin. My top criteria in selecting a venue was 1) the capacity to nail both ceremony and reception without relocation 2) budget, and 3) a uniquely San Diego feel... NTC Venues satisfied all three easily. The clean, polished look of both indoor and outdoor venues offer a perfect canvas for whatever theme/decor you choose to create. And if you cringe at the idea of multi-venue weddings (like me), NTC is a great place to have your ceremony, reception, and pre- and post-wedding photos without the inconvenience of traveling to different locations. Less travel means you have more time to kick back and actually enjoy your party! :) The Event Sales Manager, Rebecca Duckworth, was definitely one of the most pleasant vendor reps I had the pleasure of meeting and working with! On top of her warm, sweet personality, she was very professional, generously accommodating of our needs, and responded promptly and thoroughly to any and all emails.

The grounds are beautiful and are now filled with various business establishments. A definite plus is that there is ample (FREE) parking, and that there are parking lots that are close in proximity to avoid walking a distance. A beautiful fountain and backdrop centers the promenade for some great pics as the sun sets. The reception was well attended with about 300 people. When you're Filipino, it's definitely a PARTY!!! The food was OK as they served 2 different salads, bread, 2 pastas and beef. I was most impressed with the pasta dishes. The tortellini was my fave. The beef was a bit on the dry side. The facility is a bit dated, but it does serve the purpose of holding a grand event. A concern that needs to be addressed is the issue of plugs, cords and outlets. Although the cords were taped to the ground, there were some cords that were clearly sticking up from the floor in the middle of the pathway. One lola actually tripped and fell landing on her kneecaps. OUCH!!!

Well, this "temple" is basically a performance venue in the same structure, with the same high ceiling but no windows. I also tried to call several times within their stated hours, but there wasn't a voicemail attached to the number so I couldn't even leave a message. The lack of ANY communication is truly disappointing, considering I thought this place would've been an amazing place to have our wedding. All the positive reviews had my hopes high about this place, and I had my heart set...only to have to change plans because I couldn't even get a single callback. And maybe it worked out for the better since I don't think I'd have wanted to work with a venue that couldn't even take the time to respond or even properly setup their voicemail inbox.

The limited age range (all of us were in our 20s) made it feel like prom, but the food factor rang out wedding reception. There weren't any corny decorations, just a bunch of balloons that I happily popped at the end of the evening. I thought it was the perfect venue for such an event. That might have been due to the open bar and my 5 hours of drinking. Thanks to that, I was able to scare the ladies with my dance moves, and provide much entertainment for myself. 5 stars for the enormous dance floor. 1 star for the fact you couldn't have a drink out on the floor. 4 stars for the lack of enforcement of the rule. Overall, I'd say that if you have an event that will have 150-200 people, and want a lot of area to roam and socialize, this place is for you. The interior is a a bit too mundane and stale for a wedding reception, but not bad for any other type of large social gathering.

We enjoyed having the flexibility of bringing our own catering, which made things very affordable! Unlike older reviews, we had no problems with our noise level and had tons of fun dancing the night away until 11pm. We rented the venue until midnight, which was a big sell for us as most venues we looked at required an end time of 10pm. Robbie the house bartender is amazing! He went above and beyond our expectations! (He also rents glassware and linens.) Anthony the grounds-keeper is a sweetheart and helped us out a ton with layout and planning. He was our main point of contact there. Jennifer, the rental manager, was a bit difficult to interact with at times. However, she is very punctual and returned our deposit and any paperwork quickly, which we really appreciated. ***This review is strictly re: my COVID-19 Testing experience***…read more This location is a walk-in testing site, and I first heard about from a friend who recommended it because it was so easy. I tried for over a week trying to get tested at a Federal sites via LHI, then tried CVS, also tried Kaiser, and other appointment-based State/County testing sites. Came up empty no matter what day or time I tried. No appointments available. So frustrating. So, I decided to give this location a try even though I don't live in this area and I wasn't sure how "walk in" would work. I'm so glad I did! FAST TURNAROUND: Tested On: Friday Results On: Sunday Turnaround time was just about 2 days! Wow! The other time I got tested at a Federal testing site, it took 3-4 days. HOW IT WORKS: You park in the structure connected to the building. Follow the COVID-19 Testing signs. It's free. Walk up to one of the signs outside the building. Scan the QR Code with your phone camera. It will bring you to the website where you enter the Site Code that is also posted on the sign. Fill in the form. Go inside, present your ID, and go check in. Then, head over to the testing area. Some nurses want you to swab yourself. If you're comfortable with it, go ahead. That's what my husband did. The nurse was really helpful & told him what to do. I did not trust myself, so I asked the nurse to do it & she did it for me. We got our results back at the same time. Makes no difference. I recommend this testing site. We came on a Friday afternoon & there was no line inside whatsoever. After we filled out the online form, the whole testing process took less than 5 minutes. Parking was plentiful.

The people I met there felt like real coworkers, and the team goes above and beyond to actually get to know you, not just check you in and hand you a coffee. The space itself is adorable, has incredible energy, and the snacks are an underrated bonus. They have extra monitors available (first come, first served), and as someone who got there early, I never had an issue. Honestly, that alone was a huge selling point for me. I moved away and had to give up my membership, which was genuinely sad. But if I ever move back to San Diego? I'd be back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.
