I wanted to take my mom out for a great weekend brunch and everyone raves about Hatch in Huntington. So, here it goes..... Mom got pancakes..........dry and tasteless. The only saving grace is it came with cinnamon butter. I ordered Eggs Monterey a spin off of Eggs Benedict........everyone knows you can tell a restaurants food by the poached eggs. They were hard boiled eggs and our waiter went missing since we got our food and there is only like 3 servers. They hide in the kitchen chatting with each other, Hello!?!?! I can see you guys through the open kitchen door. So after trying to get someone's attention for 15 minutes, I suffered through eating the garbage eggs. Also, we ordered a side of corned beef hash. It was dry and tasteless and I wouldn't even consider it hash. Oh, and to end the meal after the bus boy cleared our table we waited 25 minutes trying flag down our waiter to pay the bill. The ambiance is tacky and looks like tweety bird threw up everywhere. It was freezing and the noise level was outrageous. I have a feeling that the people that rated this place high from Best of LI, Yelp Fort Lauderdale and Newsday FeedMe were either inebriated or inexperienced at eating any type of brunch food. I would implore them to rethink their mistake. I would look elsewhere to have brunch in fact a McDonalds Egg McMuffin is a better choice.

We were seated upon arrival and attended to immediately. We ordered and everything came out rather quickly. The food was delicious and the restaurant was so clean and bright! Def recommend!

Just to start, their waitlist time estimate is terrible. I don't mind being put on a waitlist but have it be slightly accurate. It said 35-45 min but ended up close to 1.5 hours. Second issue was their specialty coffees are terrible. It was too watery. I think the coffee to water ratio was off. It did not taste good. We had two different ones and both were terrible. Food otherwise was good and service was great.

Came for Sunday Brunch, not a long wait. Food was delicious and server was friendly. Food came out fast regardless of how busy it was. Would recommend this place for family brunch.

This was my first time eating at this establishment and I enjoyed every moment. From the food, to the service and the atmosphere, everything was great. Tiffany was an excellent server who was very attentive and personable. Kudos to the manager for that 90's playlist. The music had me dancing in my chair (and in the bathroom.) There was a nice crowd for a Saturday morning, and the wait was only 10 to 15 minutes. I'll definitely be back.

Had another amazing brunch at Hatch. Shouts to Mel and Cat the bartenders. They always put a smile on my face with great conversation, amazing food and drinks. The old school cartoons on the tube is a vibe. Can't wait to return.

The food here was okay. I think the biggest thing for me was the amount of customers. It took a while to get a table because it was extremely packed, which is understandable. The ambiance was alright, decent for photo ops

I took my best friend to Hatch in Huntington for her birthday brunch. The overall vibe of the place is super fun and totally what we were looking for. We started with a the House Party Mimosas which was a bottle of lamarca prosecco on ice and three different juices to create our own mimosas for $39. The bucket it was served in was visibly dirty but other than that we really enjoyed getting to make our own drinks. Bestie had the Charleston Benedict and I had the That's a Gouda Benedict, both for $16.95. When our waitress took our order she asked us if we wanted hash browns or tater tots, but did not inform us that the tater tots were a two dollar up-charge each, which brought our meals to $18.95 a piece. The tater tots were also very cold when they arrived to our table, but the rest of the meals were hot and delicious. We also shared a Blueberry Danish pancake which was fantastic. It had lemon cream cheese filling, blueberry compote, sweet cream & toasted almond streusel. It was fantastic. Overall we had a great meal at Hatch and we'd definitely return.

Hatch felt pretty disappointing overall, especially considering the expectations going in. We ordered a skillet with toast and French toast, but the quality just didn't match the price or the hype. The toast was just basic white sandwich bread, which felt cheap and out of place for a restaurant at that price point. The French toast was also underwhelming--kind of chewy, overly drenched in syrup, and way too heavy and sweet instead of being light and fluffy. It also felt like they were using store-bought syrups, which made it taste less fresh and more processed. The skillet itself was bland and served cold, which made it even more disappointing. Even the side toast was slightly burned and looked low effort. Overall, it just didn't feel thoughtfully made or worth going back to.

Great staff, menu & vibe. Delicious drinks and food. Lots of options and since I am trying to be healthy, I got a Hatch Power Bowl. My guy got the chocolate chia overnight bowl that had over 40 grams of protein. I will be back!

"We got ground to dig and worms to scratch It takes a lot of sittin', gettin' chicks to hatch" (King Crimson) We joined some childhood friends from Long Island for breakfast a few days ago, and when we asked them where we should meet, they were very enthusiastic about Hatch. And what a great choice it was! Our friends told us that on the weekends, the lines are out the door. Luckily, on our Friday morning visit, there were no such lines when we arrived. You'll smile when you approach their exterior double doors and are greeted by a gigantic Yellow Smiley Face! Their interior space is gorgeous with vibrant hues of yellows and oranges, artwork on the walls, and big hanging white basket lights. Even the bathrooms have an artistic touch, with a backwards "You Look Fine" painted on one wall so when you look at yourself in the wall mirror, that reassuring message appears over your head. Our server was a delight and was a joy to interact with. Coffee and water refills appeared automatically all morning. The menu is a thing of beauty with a zillion egg dishes, benedicts, egg sandwiches, pancakes, French Toast, hash, etc. I went with a coffee ($4) two poached eggs ($5.90) and a side of corned beef hash ($8.95. Our server made a point of telling me their hash is different and "not like what you get in a can". It was CLEARLY homemade and included big cubes of solid corned beef about half the size of an ice cube. The plate also contained diced potatoes, some shreds of bacon and a sliced scallion garnish. I added some ketchup and a powerful Sriracha and I was a very happy camper. Honestly, we loved our visit to Hatch. An easy five stars for décor, service, food, value, and overall experience. Hatch is open for breakfast/brunch Monday - Friday from 7am - 3pm and Saturday & Sunday from 7am - 4pm. GOLD MEDAL TRIVIA Hatch is located on the site of a legendary Long Island luncheonette, previously known as "The Hamburger Choo Choo", where a model train delivered your food to your seat at the counter. I ain't lying, go Google it. There is even a Facebook page named "Friends of the Hamburger Choo Choo".

Amazing food, the servers were amazing. The mimosa set was great. One thing thought, the mimosa glass smelled a little funky so we did have to ask for a new glass.. but it was fine after that! The food was amazing though and very well cooked and the French toast was an amazing treat to have.

Gave a kind of hippy vibe when we walked in. People were friendly , service was good. Wasn't crazy about the food. It was fine , my eggs had no taste and the hash brown was horrible. That needs to be changed ASAP. You can't mess up potatoes!Would like to give it a second try. Maybe order something else.

There were toddlers and preschoolers in the restaurant with their families, so I asked the waitress to please change the channel. She looked at me like I was crazy and told me that she didn't understand what my problem was. I explained that there were graphic photos of people and crime scenes that aren't suitable for children, or really anyone else trying to enjoy their meal. That issue non-withstanding, I still don't think Over Easy is worth choosing over Hatch or Munday's. The wait for us was 20 minutes, which is the same for pretty much every other place in Huntington. It's also very small, so as a result the tables are extremely close together. We were seated in the middle of the floor, with waitstaff passing through very frequently on both sides. We had to constantly tuck ourselves in and watch our backs to avoid getting an elbow in the face. Our food tasted alright, but there were several issues. We both got variations of eggs benedict. I got the avocado BLT benedict, with avocado, tomato, arugula, bacon, and hollandaise on top of ciabatta. It tastes good, and I especially liked how orange and healthy the poached egg yolk was. However the ciabatta was pretty badly burnt. My boyfriend got the "classic" eggs benedict, which was served over toasted sourdough bread. This bread was ridiculous, over an inch thick and impossible to cut through without shaking the table and making a crummy mess. I would've thought the classic eggs benedict would be eggs with Canadian bacon over an English muffin; this one was just not the best.

Someone in our party was also gluten-free and they were easily able to order without having to customize too much! We were a group of five, but were sat at a square table clearly meant for a four-top, so it was a bit tight. But other than that, service was good.

Their octopus is fatty, tough and hard to eat and although the flavors and pairings are wonderful, the star of the dish falls flat and for $46 it's a shame. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful inside, it's romantic, decorated with intention, the bathroom is the coolest bathroom I've ever seen in a restaurant. It's a perfect date night spot, perfect for celebrating a birthday or special event, the potential is there. I've eaten the burrata with prosciutto and pineapple and it's one of their best dishes. The beet salad and tomato salad are delicious. The tomatoes they use are so fresh, they serve it with a massive hunk of mozzarella cheese, both so yummy. Their pasta dishes are good, they are a bit simple for me but good. Their brussels sprouts were served and I was suprised to see they were not roasted. I'm used to ordering crispy brussels sprouts but you're not getting that here. They looked steamed and originally I was disappointed but they were amazing, so much garlic, so much flavor, I was happily surprised with this side. For dessert, their options are endless, it was seriously hard to choose something but for my birthday last weekend we went with the pistachio cheese cake and it was out of this world. They served it with a huge candle, it was special. Unfortunately, the meatball special that I ordered for my main dish was not good. Couldn't cut into the meatball and the flavor was not right. Our reservation was late, for 8:30 and we finished eating around 10:20 We were the last people in the restaurant and felt a bit rushed. My sister had ordered a cappuccino and you could tell they wanted us out, which was a bit of a bummer. This wasn't my first time here, had it been I may have written a different review but my past experiences were better and the service was mostly phenomenal despite like I said, hiccups. The place is expensive, it's definitely an experience. If they could fix their octopus dish I would make this a regular spot. I so appreciated they had a mocktail menu. I ordered a non-alcoholic cucumber drink and it was delicious. Will definitely be back.
