It is the definition of a small business --- the owner, Allison, is there every day behind the counter which I love. She is not only knowledgeable from first-hand experience (with both her kids) but she does a lot of research on "natural" baby toys, materials and such so her store has a great variety of products (not just cloth diapers!). I have bought not only a good selection of diapers, but clothing, tea, toys and wool dryer balls here. She also seems to take pride in being a part of the community and offers free cloth diaper classes and posts a lot of local info on her Facebook page. She is great about answering any question you may have... which as a first time mom, I really appreciate! She sells many handmade things (which I love!) to include jewelry, clothing, and toys.... she also has these graham crackers from a local vendor @ the register -- YUM! While I find the name of this store really hard to pronounce and generally just refer to it as the diaper store, it's a great place to stop in if you are walking around in the center of Troy. If you are in the market (or are thinking about trying cloth diapers) it's worth the drive. I know the store gets a bad reputation sometimes of it being messy however the store is very neat and clean and orderly this morning I believe it's the customers that come in a make the big masses and the staff may not be able to keep up with cleaning up for such a large volume of items. But I actually did start wearing Alloy's clothes as a teen and have kept it up until the pregnant almost 30 year old wife I am today. I love their clothes. Not only do I love the clothes but I love their Clearance section. The style these days seems to be this flowy bohemian style that is perfect for my ever outward growing belly. I got 4 shirts for get this....Less than $40.00. That includes shipping. Yes less than $40.00! And the clothes are great and fashionable and great for maternity wear. Not to mention that their regularly priced items are pretty fairly priced. Definitely pre or post pregnancy stuff. My one complaint is that they stopped selling decently heeled shoes. The sales girl text me within literally 25 minutes and told me that the buy was finished and they could not accept any of my items and recommended I bring them to Plato's closet because they were "too young" for their store. I don't know what teenager would wear a brand new suit jacket from Anthropologie. Or work dresses that I wore when I was pregnant that are now too big. There is no way Plato's closet would have taken those clothes though so I brought them to Uptown Cheapskate who bought the majority of them. The rest I sold on Poshmark. I definitely won't be back because it was a waste of time and their process does not seem to make any sense.

Yesterday, they had buy one get one free on this ankle socks which is such a great deal. I ended up getting 24 pairs of socks for $20. While in here I like shopping around. The dresses are usually not my style but they have really cute sandals and leggings. The dressing rooms were clean and everything was very organized. This is a large store, so you can end up spending a lot of time shopping around. They had three cash registers open and I only had to wait a minute or two in line before I was able to check out.
