We ordered the fried ravioli appetizer which was very tasty, but I didn't realize we'd be getting mouth-watering rolls too. I ordered the tortellini carbonara with shrimp. It was delicious! The shrimp were pretty big and perfectly cooked. Hubby ordered the lasagna as that is his litmus test and not a bite was left. The best part was that Alan, the owner, checked in us throughout our visit. He was very kind and just made us feel like guests at his home. My Mom loves this restaurant and requested we take her there tonight for her birthday. They sat us in the bar area tables which was good because it was fairly quiet. The bartender took our orders promptly and gave my Mom a couple of wine samples so she could pick what she liked. I ordered the filet by itself and a side of grilled shrimp (carnivore diet). This was one of the best filets I've had in awhile. It was lightly seared and cooked at a perfect medium rare. I couldn't make out the light marinade but it was delicious. This has been our go to Italian place since our kids were in middle school and we've come to know Alan, the owner. The service and the food is always great, but when Alan is there he always makes you feel special. Last weekend my wife and I went there for lunch and brought our 2 year old Golden Doodle. We asked if we could sit on the patio with the dog and were quickly seated. As usual everything was perfect as we knew it would be. I am planning a party and was interested in Hasta La Pasta being the venue. Well everyone was so nice even before solidifying the deal. My husband and I went to dinner to pre-sample the food and it did not disappoint. My husband had Veal Parmigiana and I had Chicken Parmigan. Delicious! Service was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere had a nice soothing ambience and fellow customers seem happy. Solidifying the event went nice and smooth. Communicated over the phone and via email with the general manager and she was extremely informative and helpful. Service was slow. We ordered bruschetta as an appetizer, which was good. It took about 10 minutes for the waitress to return to take our entrée order, which was fine. After ordering, we waited 40 minutes for our food even though the restaurant did not appear to be very busy, and no explanation was given. When the food arrived, my cannelloni Pepe had a mushy texture and wasn't enjoyable. When my girlfriend tried it, she found a long black hair stuffed inside the middle of the dish. Her hair is brown. We decided not to eat it and planned to pay for everything except that dish. When the manager came over, she suggested the hair was on top of the dish, and I explained that my girlfriend had pulled it out before realizing we should have left it as is. We weren't asking for anything free, just to return that dish. My girlfriend also felt her ravioli was undercooked and hard; I tried it and agreed. I would recommend this place for the ambiance, which was very nice. I tried the Chicken Florentine soup, it was okay, though the texture seemed a little slimy or gummy odd, and it didn't quite taste freshly made to me. One of the others ordered the spaghetti with meatballs, and it also seemed more like a pre-made dish. The bread was good. A group of 8 friends met at the Champions location for a catch-up lunch. This is one of our favorite places to meet. The service is always excellent, today we had awesome Dulce as our server. All of our orders and special requests were perfectly delivered with her sweet smile. I always say I'm going to try something new and then order my favorite chicken Marsala. The chicken is crispy without being tough, mushrooms are perfectly cooked and the mashed potatoes are delish. This time I asked for extra sauce, it's so good I like it on my potatoes too. Everyone at the table loved their food, one said the beef on her Perfect Portions meals was super tender and another said her Hasta la Pasta dish was the right amount of spicy. They all enjoyed their salads, I'm a fan of the tomato basil soup which did not disappoint. Iced tea was spot on too, and two of us are very picky about that. We come here as often as we can. Great locally run restaurant with good service and food. I recommend the Hasta La Pasta with Beef. The beef is so tender it melts in your mouth. This place is so good that when my husband and I eloped we had our little reception here! They have a private room that fit our small party (I think there were 12 all together. They worked out a prix fix menu (my parents paid) and we're able to eat and do a cake cutting and all of that. We've been many time just for dinner as well and are always satisfied. My favorite item is the filet da vinci and my husband usually gets the di mare. Everything is delicious though, including the meals on the kids menu! Hey Alan/Jeff, are you going out of business? We came here on a Friday night and asked to seated outside. After fifteen minutes of waiting we went to the bar and sat in. The bartender was the only one around for most of the evening. There was literally three tables occupied the whole hour and a half we were there. We are curious if they are going out of business. The beer cooler was empty and the basic wine choice they had was rancid tasting. We asked the bartender and he said it's summer and it's slow. I don't buy that. We walked to Raos Nextdoor and they were crowded. Gringos two doors down was also packed. Alan please put your eyes on your business. We have been patrons for years and we dont feel your presence here anymore. Bring back the amazing customer service, clean detail and prompt service. Bring back the life to your business. I will say the food is still tasty and the warm rolls are still delicious with your garlic dipping sauce. We had the Chicken picatta and my hubby had the meatballs and spaghetti. Unfortunately the sausage was overcooked. We can look past that. Hope your business survives. It's sad to see this decline. read more

This place really never disappoints! Hasta has such a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Our server made sure that we were comfortable and we received our food in a timely manner. The food, as always, was delicious: I had the Lobster Ravioli and a Caesar Salad. The Ravioli was especially delicious, and shredded cheese on top just adds to the flavor. Our interaction with the manager at Hasta La Pasta on Cypresswood was unfortunate and anything but professional. My husband and I were hosting our neighborhood dinner group of six couples this past Saturday, February 8, at one of our favorite restaurants. Three days prior we went in person to make the reservation. One of the main things we requested was to sit in a specific area that is quieter so we could have conversations within the group. We specifically did not want to sit near the restrooms. The person taking the reservation said this would be no problem and the table would be waiting for us. We reconfirmed the reservation Saturday afternoon by phone (it took six calls before someone answered). When we arrived our table was not ready, and we saw the area we wanted to sit in was occupied by smaller tables and diners. They offered us a table by the restrooms, which we declined. After a 10 to 15 minute wait they set up a table for us in one of the smaller enclosed rooms, along with another large group and two smaller groups. After we sat down it was obvious any conversation would be difficult as the noise level was quite high. At this point, I decided speaking to the manager was necessary. She listened with virtually no interest and it was clear she was not going to help. I told her I would be writing a review of our experience and only then did she react by asking "are you threatening me?", which she repeated twice. I said only if she perceived the writing of a review was a threat and I walked back to our table. The evening, thankfully, was salvaged by our waiter, Eric, who was outstanding. Our food and drink orders were prepared perfectly and served punctually and accurately. We want to thank both Eric and the chef with extreme gratitude for an enjoyable meal. read more
