The previous owner still works here from time-to-time helping out and the new owner that took over is also just as great. The standard go-to items are pepper salt squid, sweet and sour pork, seafood chow mein, stir fried king mushrooms with pork jowl and the taro duck. Most of the dishes have wok hei, the distinct charred aroma that skilled chefs capture through the ingredients and oil meeting the intense heat of a wok flame. The flavour and quality have been consistent through the years and the menu is large and well priced though occasionally the food is a touch more greasy or lacking in wok hei. Seafood specials can be found on a big chalkboard on one of the walls, though it is only written in Chinese so you'll have to ask about it if you can't read it. PS. 10% discount for cash payments!

Not sure about the rest of the menu, but probably worth a try and we might go back. Only downsides are it might be a bit expensive for what it is, and the restaurant is near the Byward Market. The restaurant is very nice but Byward is one of the few spots in Ottawa, that as an American I find to feel a bit sketchy at night.
