This Popeyes is in a shopping mall. It is in a standalone building…read more We ordered the 5-Piece Chicken Tenders Platter ($16.49). A combo has one side and a medium drink while a platter has two sides and a large drink. The chicken comes in non-spicy and spicy; we chose spicy. For the sides, we ordered Cole Slaw and Fries. It comes with 2 containers of dipping sauce and was told I could only choose one flavour, so I chose Buttery Ranch. The chicken was juicy and tender. I consider the spiciness level to be mid-spicy. They are known for their biscuit and I wasn't disappointed. It seems you can refill the drink using their self-serve soft drink machine. My mom doesn't like fast food but she loved Popeyes so much we came back two days later. Between the 2 days, we tried Mary Brown's for the first time ordering similar items; the chicken wasn't as good and the coleslaw was half the size. On our second visit, we ordered the 5-Piece Chicken Tenders Combo ($14.49), chosing only one side, the Coleslaw (which my mom loved). We found the Combo filling enough without having to buy a Platter. This time they let me choose 2 flavours for the dipping sauce; I chose Buttery Ranch and BBQ. I didn't like the BBQ for chicken tenders. One thing I noticed. For the 5 pieces, they put the buscuit and fries into a box and filled the rest with chicken tenders, so we got 6 pieces. When we bought the 5 pieces again without Fries, they put the biscuits into a box and put 7 pieces! Either this was generous of them or they put extra in it because we raved how good their tenders were so we came back. The restaurant is clean and service is courteous. With indoor seating, there are tables and booths, there is one semi-circular tables with 6 electric outlets. There is outdoor seating plus separate outdoor WiFi signal! There is medium-loud pop music playing in the background. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible but the outdoor door button doesn't work when I was there. There are separate male/female washrooms and they are wheelchair accessible.  There is free parking in their private parking lot. There are high chairs for young children. Review 2023-050

It was all crunchy, burned skin and old hard meat. Today, I have a sore stomach..and this is the second time in a year of the two times I purchased Popeyes. It's not the same Popeyes as it started out to be. So disappointed as it was supposed to be a treat and all I could think was the total disregard they had to serve us old, gross, burned chicken when we all work very hard for that money. Each bite crumbled onto the seat. Never again.

UPDATE - Friday, April 25, 2025 - Customer Service - Worse than the SLOP they call food!…read more So I did what Mary Brown's asked. I emailed the "experience" team right after their reply here. It's now Friday. No response. No apology. Not even a "we're working on it." Just a black hole of corporate indifference. Let's rewind: Wings so dry I thought they were auditioning for a mummy exhibit Potatoes raw enough to still be photosynthesizing A biscuit with the texture of a hockey puck -- which I paid extra for And now? A customer service team that vanishes faster than buffalo sauce at this location This isn't just bad food. It's bad business. Don't tell customers to email you if you're going to ghost them harder than a bad ex. If this location is part of your franchise, you should be embarrassed. If it's not -- sue for defamation, because they're dragging your name through the deep fryer. Mary Brown's, your silence speaks volumes. Shame it's the only thing that showed up hot. ______________________________________ Original Review - Food My DOG won't even eat - April 21, 2025 Received wings that were dry. Received undercooked potatoes and an overly hard biscuit, which I paid extra for. Not even my dog would eat the wings or the potatoes. So basically food unfit for human or animal life. Seriously, how much can buffalo sauce actually cost? How cheap can you possibly get? Mary Brown's should be ashamed to have this location be part of their franchise.

What a fun place to check out! I was looking for someplace different, when this stumbled across my…read morefeed. So I decided to go check out the blind pig. Pretty easy to find, you can't miss the rustic looking exterior with the blind pig in huge letters on top. There's a decent amount of parking, but I'll bet when this place gets busy it's tougher to find a spot. When you walk inside, the interior is very well kept and has a rustic bar-like feel to it, plenty of bar and high top seating as well as booths. I decided to order an iced tea. Something I've noticed about Canada, iced tea is usually a sweetened drink. Not like iced tea you get in the states. So just be aware of that if you're looking to get some iced tea. Regardless, it was very tasty and hit the spot perfectly. One thing I like about this place is they have a bunch of different specials throughout the week, the day I went the special was the brisket sandwich and side salad for $13.99 Canadian. I upgraded to the Caesar salad, and also ordered a side of KFC, or Korean fried Chicken for those of you in the know. Let me tell you something about that. KFC, absolutely delicious! How can you go wrong with fried chicken thighs with Korean BBQ sauce? You can't, that's what I'm telling you! The brisket sandwich was really really good, albeit just a tad dry. But I'm not deducting any points for that. It was absolutely delicious and worth every penny. Service was great, friendly staff, and everything came out as expected. Bottom line? I will definitely be back for that brisket sandwich. They also had some other specials so I guess I'm going to need to spend an entire week here and just eat my life away at the blind pig.
