We are in town for a baseball tournament and all the locals suggested Harvey's. We were quickly greeted by our server. She was very nice and attentive. My wife had the meatball sub. She said it was "ok". My oldest had the wings and he thought they were great. My other son had the BBQ pizza for the second time on this trip. He loved it, which is big because he is very picky. I had the Stromboli. The bread was amazing. The rest of the sandwich was ok. The bread was the story for sure. I do want to come back and try the Mexican Pizza. Great service, pretty good food. I've driven by Harvey's for years and finally stopped in for dinner. This is a large facility with lots of seating. The interior is wide open, high ceilings and has 70 styled-peace themed murals on the walls. The facility actually fells cold and empty as there isn't much in the restaurant other than tables and the murals on the wall. This facility could use some better styling to give it a warmer-welcoming feel. On this evening I think we had just past the busy Saturday evening rush. Upon entering we found lots of tables that needed bused. The floors had some debris in the floor aisles. There seemed to have ample help to waitress and bus. I was just taken aback on how much cleaning needed to happen before we could be seated. We didn't have the salad bar but it looked pretty basis. It wasn't very attractive. Just very simple. The salad bar was clean and looked like the items were fresh. For dinner we started with the breadsticks. I had heard that the breadsticks were amazing. Harvey's breadsticks are very light, fluffy and golden brown in color. The light buttery taste is good. The light/fluffy texture that produces a little different taste from a normal breadstick. This came with a cup of cheese that was a nice addition to the unique taste. We ordered a deluxe pizza also. The pizza was cooked nicely...nice soft crust without any over cooked spots. There were lots of toppings on this pizza. The sauce was uneventful - not sweet, not spicy, very mild tomato taste. The crust was similar to the breadsticks - light, not greasy, soft. It really didn't have much distinguishing taste. The real test of pizza is it good the next day? I tried it the next morning...and I think I actually liked it better the next day than when it was fresh. read more

This is my favorite place for pizza and breadsticks and have been going there for years in wabash and peru. This evening, I ordered food for delivery, which I am thankful for. When the food arrived, I was missing an order of breadsticks (5). I ordered 2. I called the restaurant and talked with Misty, who said they put 2 orders in a bag. I explained that we only received 1 order. She said they would send someone back out with the other order. No problem, I was appreciative. In the meantime, we ate our pizza and breadsticks. Once the other order arrived, I went to open the bag and written on the end of the bag was "LIAR". It was written in the same handwriting that was on the end of the pizza box. I guess this employee doesn't understand how hard it is to keep a local business operating and that his or her job is dependent on customers. I am very disappointed in this accusation and hope the owner will address this issue with his employee. Very tacky and thus local business may have lost me as a customer. read more

As much as I'd love to give this at least 3 stars I cannot. This place will run you until your feet fall off. This place will make you feel guilty for not coming in on your day off and if you do be prepared to be doing everything and getting treated poorly by other employees. The owner himself treats his employees with no respect when they say something or do something he doesn't like such as giving a two weeks notice when half of his employees don't even do that, they quit on the spot or stop showing up. This was disgusting. The waitress had dirt under her nails and was not friendly and the food was cold and seemed to be bad quality. We ordered a club and taco salad. The club was made with very cheap meat and the taco salad had around tablespoons of meat with the chips and cheese- only. The water tasted like soap from the plastic cups and the floor was dirty as were the womens bathroom which also had an odor of urine. I was very disappointing as we moved here and purchased property and finally came in and have never been back. The outside is very deceiving. But after eyeballing the salad bar - elected to spend more time on the menu. BTW - sticker shock on a single trip to salad bar. After telling our server it was a first time and garnering info on best sellers - we both chose their famous nachos - 1/2 orders. Aside from a rather large portion size - Nothing note worthy. Gas station nacho cheese sauce, mexi-burger, some salsa and sour cream. My recent experience did not go so well. As soon as we walk in we waited a good five minutes to be seated when they were not busy at all. Then we got sat and I asked the host about fat free foods. She offered the salad bar, but it looked run down and old. I said I suppose I just won't eat, she said fine, then don't. Extremely rude. I expected for a manager to come out and try and accommodate my food needs. We sat there for ten minutes while the servers either sat and talked to each other or were on their cellphones. Took family there last Saturday night, what a let down. Food came and it was barely warm. Fries weren't done at all. asked for extra napkins and never got them. I got up and got them myself after about 15 minutes. Service was absolutely horrible, waitresses never came and asked if we needed anything (which we did ketchup) nor did they ever ask if we wanted any more to drink till meal was over. Our granddaughter never received her chocolate milk till we was ready to leave .The only answer we got to HORRIBLE service was to try and give us 10% off our next visit, to which I said no thank you we would just never be back. The staff were very friendly, but after taking one look at the salad bar we decided to pass. The menu offers 'one trip' to the salad bar, not all you can eat. This Harvey's is a nice location easy to get in and out of, plenty of seating no matter what your parties size is. They have fabulous breadsticks and cheese. The salad bar is great and the pizza is also good. Pricing is decent and servers are generally always nice. I wish they served coke vs Pepsi. They were late then one persons meal had few hairs inside of it and mine had added veggies that dont come in what i ordered so we called to get replaced they of course questioned us and remade as long as we returned bad items.. No prob.. But took another 45 mins before we got our remade food and the driver practically threw it at one who opened door and put hottest item on bottom and didnt tell her so she burnt her hand..
