Wow!!! First time here while traveling. Now, I've been to many large hibachi grills at $$$ per plate all over the country. This small express is by far THE BEST ever! The shrimp/yum yum sauce is great. Steak and shrimp wonderful. Who would have thought a small town like this would have the best over all other major cities?? read more

My wife and I used to love this place. We started eating there during the ending of covid situations and the food was great. The egg rolls were amazing. Large and stuffed with veggies and fried crispy without being greasy....alas this has apparently changed. We went there today and got our usual orders (toss, and sweet and sour with yum yum sauce for my wife's rice) the egg rolls were tiny and very greasy with a very strong fish taste. The fried rice was bland and flavorless with next to no veggies, egg, or anything. My general tsos despite the sauce being a decent flavor was dry and stringy, and just this side of inedible. Was definitely not worth 30 freaking bucks. How the mighty ninja has fallen read more

I've visited Ninja Express twice now. We were the only customers inside both times, but it may have been due to the time of day. We were promptly waited on by friendly staff who brought our food to our table. The restaurant has a nicely sized menu and will even make things and not listed. Their peanut avocado rolls are good as well as the avocado asparagus rolls they made for me that weren't a listed option. The more affordable avocado rolls are my favorite rolls. Their miso soup is good, but my absolute favorite is the vegetable tempura here. The sweet potato, broccoli, mushroom, onion, and peppers? are all good, but I could make a meal out of nothing but an entire tray of the zucchini. The person I dined with has gotten a salmon bento box both times. Cold bottled drinks are available in a cooler. I'm not sure if their fountain drinks are in working order but was told their fountain water didn't taste good at all. They also do not have any ice. Halloween spider webs complete with fake spiders are still hanging in May, and the tables and glass doors could use a bit more cleaning. If you dine in, your food is still usually in semi to go fashion but on a tray. I've been able to request containers and a bag as well as chopsticks. Being in an old former fast food building with a few flaws including a handwritten sign on the blank drive thru menu, it's nothing fancy and probably not where I'd go for a special occasion. However, the food is really good, and the prices are reasonable, so it fills the need for Japanese food in an area where there are few dining options. I believe they also have Chinese food on the menu and that the people here are from China. Dine in and take out are both available. You can even opt for pickup at the drive thru window. I'm assuming you would call ahead for that. There is some seating outside on the front patio. I am particularly fond of the booths where I can view the mostly red wall mural containing many cats in the artwork. Despite being somewhat of a hole in the wall, the food does meet or exceed what I have had elsewhere. It's fast yet made with care. It's a great option for vegetarians and vegans - something not easily found around here. I'm sure I'll return when I'm in Wabash and need an avocado roll and tempura fix. read more

Stopped in for a quick bite before a bowling tournament, not too bad. Pretty quick food order to table.

Excellent surprise. Will become a favorite! Fast food environment but restaurant sit down service. Extensive menu and highly recommend the sushi deluxe- it was magnificent! I'm so glad to see them here in Wabash. read more

The sushi was very good and they had a vegan option (cucumber avocado roll). There was a little wait time but it was very worth it for the quality of the sushi. The workers were very nice and were getting multiple orders out with only 2 people working. There was also Asian soda and candy (candy was free). read more

This is a great place for the money. It's got a fast food vibe to it, so it's unique as a sushi place as far as I know. There's a lot of choices and the service is quick. My daughter and I enjoyed our meals. She had a sushi roll and I had a steak bento box with miso soup as an appetizer. The steak was tender and had great flavor. read more

Delicious, delicious, DELICIOUS. Honestly better sushi than the Japanese Steakhouse in Warsaw. The outside is so deceiving-- this is some of the best Asian food around. Their chicken teriyaki bowl is SO good, their sushi is AMAZING, and their spicy crab salad honestly made me a better person. The people are lovely and really strive for customer service. All in all I'm set to become a regular! read more

The food is good but the people that work there are rude, on the phone and at the drive thru. I can't imagine anything better if you dine in. No wonder the place never appears to do any business. read more

not appealing. inside an old hardrees, it's not hard to tell the quality isn't going to be great. what's REALLY surprising is how they got so many people to write a 5 star review. fish is old and smelly, way too thick cut nigiri, low quality, OVER PRICED. i'm so upset i wasted so much $$ on this garbage. please don't waste your money here, it's not worth it. read more

Great food and authenticity for a small town. It was nice to have something different for once. Far away from home, but we would travel back out here for this place. They customer service is great and atmosphere was pleasant. Salmon teriyaki bowl was tasty, out of control roll was delicious, and rock shrimp was a great starter! read more

Sushi was the bomb. Fairly good prices. Reasonable wait time for such an excellent product. Extremely kind and hard working staff. They have Asian sodas and candies(candies were free) which were totally fly. #grind read more

Was a little wary of sushi in my hometown but my sister said she'd heard good things & sushi is our "thing" when i come home. We ordered salads, crab rangoon for apps. Salads were good. Crab rangoon was average. Just cream cheese...no crab you could taste or find. We had the pink lady which was good but the soybean paper had a different texture than other soybean paper ive had. We also had the ninja roll which was really good but drowned in sauce. Less sauce next time. The last roll was the yummy yummy. The salmon on top wasnt the freshest looking so we took it off the top & ate the roll. I would try again because the rolls were good but they need to improve on a few minor things. read more

Always quick to make pick up orders, even large orders. Have never messed up on our orders. Super friendly staff! Most rolls have the same sauce combination. Would only change that. Favorite place to eat. read more

What a great surprise after leaving the Escape Hour. Wanted to try one of everything on the menu and it is extensive. We tried the Mickey Roll the volcano roll and spicy tuna roll and California roll. It was rolled to order and was amazing. Can't wait to go back again and again! The service was good. It is setup like fast food but that didn't detract from the quality of the food. read more

I go here a few times a week! Service is always so great, super fast and really good for the cost! Full quality meals for the same price as a drive thru combo, and almost the same wait time! read more

Great healthy food quickly. Love the drive through option for carry out. Vegetables are fresh. A family favorite.

Good food. Great service. We picked up take out yesterday. The order only took 10 minutes after we phoned it in. It was a large order and everything was correct. They even threw in extra stuff. read more

Very good food. Service seems a little weird. It's kinda like fast food sushi. In all fairness they had just opened, so may be even better now. read more
