I have never done a Yelp review. Not good or bad. But the ridiculously poor treatment and service…read morethat I just received warrants this one. I tried to call their corporate office to report it but it was closed as today is Saturday. The girl that took my order was rude. She didn't even say hello when I got to the window. She just asked for my money. When she handed me my food, she immediately closed the window and walked away. I tried for nearly 15 minutes trying to get her attention. Finally a customer actually responded to me mouthing some words and pointing at the girl. I nodded and mouthed the words thank you. He told her and she never even looked back at me or acknowledged me in any way. Nor did either of the other 2 girls that were also standing there. When the drive thru girl kept walking to that area to do other things, she would deliberately turn her head and not look my direction. Finally one of the other girls turned around and put her finger up as if telling me to hold on a minute. No one came. So, I call in to the store and someone (female, likely one of the other girls, that I could no longer see) answers but for some reason they couldn't walk over to the window to help me. Finally when she had to come for the next car, THEN she acknowledged me by just opening the window. All I wanted was my Teriyaki sauce. Being a wasteful, smart aleck, she gave me like 10 of them to get rid of me. At that point I tried to explain that I had waited and was ignored for nearly 15 minutes, just for the sauce that I had already asked for before she gave me my order (which was now cold) and they just ignored me. She shut the window in my face. I can now understand why their Yelp rating is only a 1.9 on here. I am giving them a 1 as well even though I must admit that the food was better today than it was the last time I had it. But the food just does not make up for the utter disrespect and rudeness of ALL 3 of the girls, especially the drive thru girl, Olivia (per my receipt).

A co-worker and I went to get the 411. AMBIENCE- this place is located in a strip mall, next to a doctor's office (uhm...) and some other store, perhaps a pet store (uhm....). It's a drab blue color on the outside, and the inside isn't much prettier. It's a lot bigger than it looks from the outside, with plenty of booths, but really no decoration what so ever. SERVICE- the lady and her husband are surprisingly efficient in their ability to cover the whole restaurant. Of course there were only 6 parties there, and it is a buffet. Still, they were prompt with clearing plates, getting refills, and getting the bill. MENU- it's about what you would expect for a $5 lunch buffet- "Bur Bon" chicken, general's chicken, and the other standard buffet items were present. Salad bar is very small, and plenty of fried finger foods for the less daring. They have a honey chicken and peanut chicken which are pretty much what they sound like. Ice cream machine and standard desserts (almond cookies, puff pastries, etc...). FOOD- let's be frank, it's a buffet in Elwood Indiana folks. ELWOOD. But for what it is, it certainly satiated my craving for Chinese food. Is this the greatest food I've ever had, no, but I set my expectations accordingly. OVERALL- $6.00 + tip for a buffet and drink???? Hell yes. China Buffet, I plan on seeing you on a week to week basis. Nothing to go out of your way for, but people in the area, this is pretty much your only chinese option. It could be worse. Celebrity Rating- Shogun of Harlem (Sho 'Nuff)
