The bathroom door stuck and was a pain to close, it was the same for the shower door as the door needed to be lifted in order to properly open or close the door. The kitchette has a microwave, coffee maker, mini fridge, stove,cutting board, sink, dishes, pans, and cutlery as well as soap and dishrags. We used the microwave to make instant pasta and oatmeal so it worked fine and the bowls were microwave safe. The bathroom had towls and washcloths, but be sure to pack your batheoom supplies including hand soap (toilet paper was supplied). The bed was made with fresh linens and a blanket with a spare blanket in the dresser. There was a ceiling fan, but lighting was lamps or wall mounted. No wifi, but good cell signal plus the tv had a vcr and dvd player though we didn't try it. The back wall was of glass windows and a sliding door with a screen door. Sadly no curtains, so sunrise woke us often, be sure to pack eye masks. The hot tub was running on arrival and easily adjustable with jets and lighting optional. The cover balcony patio had not only the hot tub, but seating and hooks to hang towls from. We saw deer and hummingbirds while looking out into the forest. It was very peaceful. Booking was over the phone and a receipt was left by the cabin key.

The overall size of the cabin was perfect for us, the great room, dining room / kitchen were the front half and not cramped. The back half was split with the bedroom and bathroom with the bedroom having a door to the rear balcony and hot tub. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils along with dishes, glassware, and silverware for four. It also had a full size oven / cook top and refrigerator along with a microwave and a Mr. Coffee. The great room had a comfy couch and chair along with a nice rocking chair a coffee table suitable for playing games on. There is also a TV with Satellite dish and a DVD player. Rounding out the room was a wonderful gas fireplace that kept the cabin comfortably warm on the cool spring nights. The bedroom had a comfortable queen sized bed with great linens and wonderful pillows. There are nightstands on both sides of the bed and a great dresser for all your stuff. The bathroom was spacious, clean, and well stocked with towels. The front porch had a porch swing, gas grill, and table and chairs while the back patio had two Adirondack chairs and the hot tub. The hot tub was perfect, clean and ready for use upon our arrival, along with additional towels. There is absolutely nothing that I can say that was a problem or wrong with my visit. I will certainly look to stay with Cedar Grove Lodging the next time I look for a cabin get away.

The power went out, and we received a message saying it was expected to be restored by 7:00 PM. However, when we arrived at the foot of the hill around 9:30 PM, it was completely pitch black everywhere, and there were tree branches all over the road. We called to report it to the power company, and the customer service rep mentioned that many others had already reported it too. Still, the power wasn't restored until 1:30 PM the next day. The biggest issue was that when the power went out, the water went out too, because the water pump relies on electricity. This meant we couldn't take a comfortable shower, and using the toilet became a real problem. Fortunately, the next morning, a neighbor told us we could use water from the hot tub to flush the toilet! That being said, the cabin itself is nice, has everything you need, and is peacefully away from the city lights. We even did some amazing stargazing in front of the nearby chapel on our second night. The staff were also very responsible--there were still branches on the road when we drove out the next day, but by the time we drove back later, everything had already been completely cleared. BTW, I definitely recommend an SUV to get up here, as the road is pretty steep. Also, make sure to bring a flashlight and a folding saw just in case the weather gets bad!

It's in a back road, and though there were some other dwellings nearby, we never felt intruded upon or otherwise near anyone else (note: we were there in late winter, so the trees were bare... In the late spring/summer/fall, this wouldn't be a factor). The cabin itself was FLAWLESSLY maintained and equipped... We had plenty of firewood, propane, toilet paper, dishes, utensils, etc. Everything was clean and in it's place... The kitchen, bathroom, outdoor propane grill, and hot tub were immaculate... Decor was just what it should be; log cabin charming... Our cell phones had no service, but internet and satellite TV worked reliably... Even had a blue-ray player and a small but adequate sound-system that we could hear on the back porch while having a romantic dinner al fresco... Clean and functional bathroom with shower, bath, modern toilet, large capacity hot water tank, first aid kit, plunger, vacuum, etc... Seriously, better equipped than even your better motor lodges.. There are even some personal touches/fun games that the proprietors play with their guests, if you wish to participate (Just make sure to read the guest book/literature that is left for you!) :-) A day spa, this is not.. But for a TRUE quaint, "home-away-from-home," it is... We WILL be back, and WILL recommend to friends... Well done!!!

It is located close to the office and the larger cabin/lodge, but it is set in a way that we still had complete privacy. We enjoyed the cat that was often there when we opened the door, and also had a lot of fun with the dollar game! We spoke with the owners a couple of times during our stay and they were great as well! We will definitely be back! I can't think of any reason to stay anywhere else!

Rocky View Lodge was the perfect size for our 10 bridal party guests and we we're 100% happy with everything about the cabin. As with most Hocking Hills Cabins, the entrance driveways are steep and you may almost die driving up unless you're in a Ford F-150. But once you make it up, it's absolutely beautiful! Rocky view was nestled right in the woods on top of a hill and was serene and beautiful. When we arrived, the cabin was very clean and hella spacious - perfect for our gathering. There's a total of five bedrooms that are all very nice, albeit...creaky. The kitchen is open to the living room which makes a great entertaining space amongst friends. There are plenty of cooking utensils and everything is modern and nice. Downstairs is a really awesome 'guy spot' with a pool table and bar, which made for a lot of fun. The deck patio area is HUGE and comes with plenty of tables, chairs, a nice grill, and a clean hot tub, which was definitely appreciated. about 20 feet up a short path is a secluded and super cute bonfire pit area - perfect for S'mores. We had such a fun Bach' Cabin weekend here and all our guests enjoyed Rocky View Lodge - It's clean, new, rustic, secluded and seriously so spacious. You'll love it.

Strong winds caused us to be without power for almost 24 hours. Company suggestion was for us to checkout (with no refund). I was told a manager / owner would contact me the following Monday which never happened. No refund given. Lots of trash on-site that needs to be picked up as well. Looks like guests are just throwing things off the deck.

The Pods are located right across the street from the Chalets so I was worried at first about having adequate privacy but once we entered the Pod I felt I was transported to the middle of the woods. My favorite part of the Pod was that it was Bluetooth equipped so I was able to play some folk music over the speakers to enhance my woodsy experience. Towels and bottled water are also provided for you in the Pod. We booked an hour, which I thought might be too long in the heat for me personally but after taking the recommended breaks, it didn't feel long enough. We emerged from our Pod soaking in sweat but refreshed and with every endorphin in our bodies firing. It was a fabulous experience!

I had booked the lodge in December for a June stay and all arrival instructions were clearly articulated. House was very clean, furniture was comfortable, and you are about 10 minutes from Old Man's Cave. If you need something from Logan it is more of a 25-30 minute drive to a Walmart or Kroger. Also included staying here is a pool pass good for 12. I highly recommend the Gray Wolf lodge. It was a great experience in the Hocking Hills.

We arrived at Hocking Hills Saturday afternoon, hiked and hung out at the lodge. We then went to our cabin, arriving around 7:00 pm tired and ready for a campfire. But...the driveway was too steep for my SUV to climb. We attempted 4 times and gave up, there was no way my car was going to make it up the hill. We couldn't even see the cabin it was up a huge hill and around a bend. The reservation warned of a steep incline so I called the office when I made the reservation and was told that its only a problem in inclement weather - that was not true! I have a 2024 SUV, I do not have an old car that would be questionable. We couldn't get cell service to call the office so we left and drove to the nearest hotel thinking we would find somewhere else to stay. I reached a lady at Cabins by the Caves and was told we should have been able to get up the hill - her car gets up the hill with no problem and so does the cleaning ladies. Well - my car couldn't and I wasn't going to burn up the engine trying. She eventually gave me my money back and told us "never call again". We tried 4 hotels in the area, all were booked. We had no choice but to drive all the way back home. Needless to say our weekend was a bust. We lost money on our zipline tour and we lost our weekend. DO NOT RENT THIS CABIN WITHOUT A 4 WHEEL DRIVE!!
