History
Established in 1957.
Harvard Student Agencies (HSA) Tutoring was founded in 2006 under Harvard Student Agencies (HSA), a non-profit company with over 12 different agencies generating an average of $8 million annually. HSA was founded in 1957 on the ideal of financing education through student employment. Since 1957, HSA has experienced astronomical growth, employing more than 600 Harvard students. HSA serves to educate students and help foster the innovative and creative spirit so many Harvard students possess. HSA has remained dedicated to financing education through student employment while, at the same time, ensuring the quality of the jobs offered at HSA. Each of our 12 agencies is run by a team of student managers who are responsible for the budgeting, sales, and everyday operation of their agencies. Our permanent staff gives advice and assistance in managing the corporation.
Meet the Manager: Jasmine C.
Born in Hong Kong and raised in Boston, Jasmine is a sophomore at Harvard studying Economics and Psychology. As a first-generation, low-income student herself, she understands how difficult it can be to find affordable and efficient academic help. This is why she is committed to the mission of HSA Tutoring to spread affordable education and valuable knowledge to students around the world. Outside of HSA, Jasmine is involved in Harvard Yearbook Publishing, the Asian American Dance Troupe, the Harvard-Radcliffe Chinese Student Association, and An Evening with Champions. In her free time, she enjoys baking and spending time with her family and friends.
