Working with Trevor and Yash for MCAT coaching was an amazing experience. Whenever I had questions…read moreabout a certain topic/problem, adjusting my study schedule, or being overly neurotic about my progress, Yash was always just a text or call away to reassure me and answer my questions. For example, in the last few weeks of studying my AAMC full length scores progressed from a 516 to 519 to 516 to 513. The trend from a 519 to 513 definitely made me anxious, and it felt like I was hitting a slump in my studying. However, Yash was quick to let me know that full length scores aren't static, reassuring me that I'm scoring within the expected standard deviation around my average of 516. He told me that each full length is different in difficulty, advising me to take an extra day off each week to refocus myself and really hone in on why I might've got more questions wrong. This definitely helped clear my mind and I actually began to feel grateful for scoring a 513, because I was able to identify gaps in my content/test taking strategies that I didn't even know I had. Subsequently, my scores on the last two AAMC full lengths went back up from a 514 to 518! At the end of my studying, I felt satisfied that I've done everything I could to prepare for this test, and that no matter what happened on test day, I was confident in getting a score that would give me a good shot at an acceptance to medical school. Overall, I don't think I would've made it as far as I did without his support--Yash has been an amazing coach!

I spent over 1000 on tutoring services from him and they did not help me at all. Trevor was very hard to talk to, no small talk at all ever, so you feel like complete strangers the entire time. I felt awkward during our sessions and as if I was bothering him. I chose him from all of the good reviews he had, but ended up having the exact opposite experience... so wanted to warn you all.

Coming from a no-name international school (not known to the U.S. application dropdown menu), I was hoping that I "had it in me", but at the same time know that I needed to craft the perfect application, most importantly the essays, to stand out. My first call was into Sandy Kreisberg. My second into Scott. I went with Scott, and never regretted it. The results spoke for themselves: 4 applications (all top schools), 3 admissions, including my dream choice: Stanford GSB. Scott knows inside out how to tailor your best and hightest-chance-of-success application package. He continually challenged me to craft the unique and authentic essays that opened the doors to the top MBA programs for me. And as if that all was not already a utopia of awesomeness, Scott helped me secur e a full-ride scholarship from my national government. I mean, give me a break, Scott. When I arrived on campus, GSB's (back then) Dean of Admissions Derrick Bolton took me by the side and told me it was my "What Matters Most To You and Why" essay that made the difference. I honestly look at that essay and I think it's the best piece I have ever written in my life. Would have not been the case without Scott. Beyond essays, Scott is a fountain of wisdom for school selection, general application strategies, resume editing, picking recommenders, and being there for you during the emotional rollercoaster than MBA applications can be. Take my word. I could not think of a better person than Scott to partner up for this journey that can be such a life-changer. Certainly was for me. THANK YOU, SCOTT.

My son looks forward to his sessions, prepares and is fully engaged. That, to me, is the best testament. Kevin tutors my child at home, is super responsive to email/chat/phone and is accommodating in advance of quizzes & special assignments. I find him to be super flexible. My son's grade went up by a full letter grade since starting his tutoring and is achieving A's in all the latest tests. He is also working with my son on the SAT Chemistry subject test. Kevin also helps with work habits and studying approach for these subjects --- beyond the content being studied. We plan on continuing with him for calculus & biology next year too since Kevin is well-rounded. I highly recommend Kevin for any high school student. I know he tutors college students at advanced levels and that should give you an idea of his knowledge. My wife and I are extremely pleased with his tutoring. More importantly, my son is. Don't think twice.

A bit about me and my teaching philosophy - Chemistry is really not so hard as it first appears to be. There are a few key concepts that I like to pass along that clarify and simplify the problem sets that students face. Sometimes it is a matter of being able to express a problem in mathematical terms. In others it is being able to visualize what happens in a reaction. After being pointed in the right direction, and with a little practice, most any student can excel in chemistry. After a 15 year career in chemistry, I now primarily practice Acupuncture in Brighton. I still love the subject, and enjoy tutoring students in Organic and General Chemistry, as well as biology and math. I was a teaching fellow at Boston University while earning a MS in organic synthesis. I let discussion and laboratory sections. I worked through problem sets with the students, and went over concepts from classroom discussions. I always enjoyed working with students. Maybe some of my enthusiasm for the sciences even rubbed off on them.

I can honestly say without him, i don't know how I would of finished taking both courses. The lecturers and the TAs didn't communicate the material nearly as clearly and in a shorter time span as he did. He is clear and patient, and wants you to truly learn the material, not just get through a test or assignment. It is clear that he knows his material. Moreover he's very flexible with tutoring time and will take as much time and sessions needed until you understand the material. Being an athlete, my free is greatly limited, but he still found time to make sessions flexible to my schedule to his greatest ability. With my experience with him, if there were more teachers as clear and knowledgable as him, then class would be more clear and interesting and easier to follow. But in real-life situations, tutors such as Solomon are there to bridge the gap and help you succeed. I know I'll be using Quantum Tutoring in the future, especially as I get ready for MCATs, not to mention exams and tests.
