Parents, Beware!…read more I strongly advise parents to think twice before enrolling their children at the Russian School of Mathematics (RSM), especially when it comes to student support and tuition refunds. 1. Lack of Genuine Concern for Students' Progress Based on my daughter's experience, the teachers seemed more focused on delivering lessons than ensuring students actually understood the material. There appeared to be little concern about whether students were keeping up or truly learning. For a school that charges substantial tuition, this is extremely disappointing. 2. An Unacceptable and Frustrating Refund Process We followed the school's refund policy and notified them of our withdrawal two weeks before the semester began. Despite complying with their requirements, getting our tuition refunded turned into an absolute nightmare. Over the course of more than TWO MONTHS, I called the school four or five times. Phone calls frequently went unanswered. On the rare occasions when I reached someone, I was repeatedly promised a refund and written confirmation by email. The attached screenshot shows only today's repeated calls to RSM Lexington. It does not include the numerous calls I made over the previous two months trying to resolve this refund issue. Not once did they follow through. No confirmation emails. No refund. Just empty promises. The staff's attitude toward resolving this issue was often dismissive and unprofessional. It genuinely felt as though they were deliberately making the refund process as difficult as possible, hoping we would eventually give up. 3. A Warning to Other Parents: ALWAYS Pay by Credit Card! Fortunately, I paid the tuition with a credit card. After more than two months of getting nowhere with the school, I finally contacted my credit card company. They promptly helped me initiate a charge dispute. My advice to other parents: NEVER pay tuition here with a payment method that offers limited dispute protection. Use a credit card, keep records of every communication, and don't rely on verbal promises. A reputable educational institution should care about its students AND honor its own refund policies. Based on my experience, this school failed on both counts. I am extremely disappointed by the lack of accountability, professionalism, and basic customer service. Parents deserve to know what they may be dealing with before handing over their money.

They should go to NH,Maine or CT and watch how they do their rotations. It seems there are plenty of employees in the back that could be prepping the bins to go out on a regular basis. Every time I've been there's a few rotations with no real schedule. Sometimes 45 minutes, sometimes 3 hours. From the looks of the Shop Goodwill site, the workers are busier picking through and pricing up things for the online store instead of just offering them to regular customers who come to hunt for a bargain in the bins. Much nicer staff and management at other Goodwill locations - honestly, why do they call it Goodwill when the workers seem like they don't like their jobs or the customers?

Our student took his SSAT at the Prometric in Burlington this past week. The staff was AMAZING!…read more They even called several days prior to make sure that we knew exactly what our child should bring, what to wear, options, and what to expect. On the morning of the testing, the test center was very organized and clean. James registered everyone efficiently, and his calm and friendly smile put our student at ease immediately. The whole center was quiet and calm except for the friendly encouragements from the staff to keep everyone relaxed. Tameka ran the show, making sure everyone had everything they needed and monitoring other testers. Whenever folks came out of their tests for a break both Tameka and James had a fabulous sense of humor and they would be reassuring and encouraging everyone, which made my child smile and relax ! The computers and testing areas were brand new, beautiful quiet building and easy location to find, very close to the Burlington Mall. We never knew taking a test could be this enjoyable! That's an important aspect of growing up. They get enough structure all day at school and before and after school care is a time to let loose, to a degree, and be a kid. You'll never be really successful unless you can find the right balance. The Landmark Academy Director did that masterfully and you should learn from her. You're also taking the fun, creativity, and desire out of your employees. Telling them they have to follow a predetermined set of activities and, again, trying to mechanize something that requires imagination and passion, is doomed to fail. Your employees will have no vested interest in doing what's best for the children, they'll only be concerned with following your rules they are required to follow. Again, you'll never be successful with this model.
