TLDR: Go get the gyoza and pork bao and skip the ramen if you live 5-10min away. Skip it altogether if you live further away. We walked in on a Sunday afternoon around 2pm after seeing all the hype Stepout Buffalo gave this place on IG. We were greeted by someone quickly where she tried explaining how it works - order on a giant touch screen which was simple enough. Didn't love the fact that they ask you for the tip before you even sit down but that's the way this country works these days (spoiler alert: the service was not worth the 20% aka $20 we tipped) The seaweed salad was a bit slimy but generally not bad. The gyoza were excellent, would def order again. So was the pork bao. The meat was perfectly breaded and seasoned and cooked to perfection, and the sauces that went with it were delicious. This is kind of where the greatness ended. Onto the ramen (the main reason we were there), the noodles were honestly not bad but that's pretty much the best part. The soup was non existent and cold by the time you get to it - I think it has to do with the fact that all the vegetable toppings are mostly cold. The broth was also super salty (with no real flavor), I think to make up for the fact that the toppings not being well seasoned (my bean sprouts were completely flavorless). The breaded pork again was good, but I didn't like how it sat in the soup and got soggy, perhaps it should have been served separately on a plate? The grilled sliced pork belly was good and flavorful. I've had ramen all over Japan so believe me when I tell you the broth is not authentic nor is it good, which kinda ruined the entire dish. Our drinks were overpriced and very average tasting. The boba was too mushy but I am from Taiwan, so I guess I have high standards when it comes to boba. All in all, a VERY expensive lunch where neither of us enjoyed our entree (ramen), and given that we live in the southtowns, it's unlikely that we will ever return, even if the gyoza and pork bao were very tasty. As a final note, the atmosphere sucked. The workers talked and giggled very loudly the entire time as if no one understood what they were saying (unfortunately for them, I understood every word). FYI - This place is NOT Japanese despite its Japanese name.

Finally got a chance to visit this ramen shop. With number of good reviews, my expection was high...but I can only rate 3-stars ( Yelp does not have an option to rate with a half star); honestly my rating is 2.5 stars. First off, soup temp was very luke warm...not hot at all. I am so used to have temperature "hot" ramen soup. Thus, served with luke warm soup was really negative to me. Then the size. The size of bowl was a lot smaller than usual ramen bowl, or the size of ramen bowl I am used to. I felt like there was not enough soup. This was second negative point. Though the amount of noodle was good portion, small amount of soup could not accommodate well until the last. Luke warm soup quickly lost temperature; a little amount left in the bowl after finishing noodles got rather cold than warm. Various toppings were rather generous; but again, small amount of soup was not enough to keep up for them either. Broth itself tasted more like deluted Tonkotsu broth rather than creamy chicken broth soup. This ramen seems to have a good possibility though; so, I hope they can improve soup (amount bowl size) along with soup temperature.

I have tried the spicy creamy chicken, Ramen, the popcorn, chicken, and the takoyaki. All the items were so good. I keep coming here on the special cold days because this bowl of Ramen is just so comforting. The staff is really nice and welcoming, and the place is so adorable with so many Japanese inspired art stands with Japanese food karaoke rooms. It's a whole vibe.

The takoyaki was good and hot. Creamy chicken ramen was also great. However the miso beef ramen was a little disappointing. As soon as I got the beef ramen in front of me, I noticed the color of the soup. The soup was nothing like a miso ramen base, but rather a thicker shoyu base. The brown sugar milk strike was also too sweet. Tasted like ice cream. Some people might like it but it's unexpected. Service was average. There was only one lady at the front who explained to us how to use their kiosk and brought us two cups of water in a plastic single use cup, which can be improved by using glass cups. Then she brought out food out and never checked on us again. The interior is very interesting. There's a little snack shop by the entrance, some anime frames on a wall, and a bunch of musical instruments on the other side.

Saw this place on step out Buffalo and had to try it! Glad we did super neat little place good food ramen and service! The pork cutlet was soooo good. Bubble tea was yummy and it's a cute cozy place lots of little snacks and things to try. They've even got music nights and karaoke rooms to rent! Staff were very friendly and prices weren't too bad. If I'm being totally honest my ramen was on the bland side but the chicken and noodles and veggies and stuff were good. I need to up the spice level or try something different next time I think. Glad we visited!

We were excited to hear about a ramen spot that had gluten free noodles as an option. We came on a cold day so it was perfect for some hot ramen. This place is neat and a little different. You come in and order on an iPad or from your phone. You can easily customize your order by adding extra, or omitting things in the menu items. You seat yourself and wait for your order to come out. There are a few tables there but not a ton. It was busy so we waited a little while but eventually our food came out. We started with the yakitori negima. It was tasty but some of the chicken was ice cold. Which shouldn't be possible if the skewers are fired on a hot grill. It freaked me out because I wasn't sure if it was cooked all the way through. I hope it is precooked and then heated up and charred on the grill but that was unclear. I did send it back and the servers didn't seem to believe me. They finally brought us back what I returned and it had more char marks and was hot this time. Unfortunately, the thought of possibly having bitten into raw chicken kind of turned my stomach after this. Next was ramen, the portions were generous and everything was cooked well. The flavors were nice and the addition of gf noodles was wonderful. It is by far the best ramen I've had in this area. Which is a treat because most of the ramen in this area is very sub par. I'd like to come back and have some other menu items. Hopefully, they will make sure to leave the skewers on long enough next time.

Yummy ramen. Chill atmosphere. The service was great. Our ramen came out fast and the to go containers allow u to separate the noodles from the broth. We will be back for sure.

Upon seeing a lot of online reviews for this new place, we decided to check it out. Per Yelp, 3/5 is "OK". That's how we felt about this place. Now, the packaging was great, where the ramen was in this special container which isolated the liquid from the ramen noodles. Also, our food came in these nifty bags. The flavor of the ramen wasn't the best we've had, but it wasn't bad either. It was "OK". In fact, there are a lot of other better places out there, especially for the cost. I truly wish I could give them 4 stars, but this would take away from the other reviews I've written where I've given 4 stars and those vendors deserved a 4.5. That being said, I wish Yelp had the option to rate in the 1/2's.

Five stars. Haruko Craft Ramen delivers excellent food and even better service. The ramen is rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The staff are friendly and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. It is a cool, relaxed spot for lunch with a nice ambiance, when you want a great bowl of ramen and a good cup of tea. Highly recommended.

Service was great and the people there were really nice. This place had just opened up so they walked us through how to order. They had a screen where you order and pay with your card. They had large variety of ramen and different types of boba. They have a promotion going on right now where it's by one get one free for select drink (you can only choose from 6 of them. The food came really fast because we were the only ones there. We both got the spicy miso with beef chashu. It was not good at all. The broth was very salty, didn't taste anything like miso, and the noodles taste like they came straight out of the frozen section from an Asian grocery store. Service was great, boba was decent, food was not.

I ordered creamy chicken ramen with yuzu oil. The broth was very flavorful and the noodle was very good. I also ordered a pork bun and the pork was surprisingly juicy and tender. That is a big hit for my son who is a picky eater. The restaurant also has a large drink menu with all kinds of bubble tea and fruit drink. The servers are really friendly. I'll definitely be going back.

I really love this new Japanese Ramen restaurant that opened up in Tonawanda. My wife and I have eaten there several times. We both love the miso and spicy miso ramen. I've also tried the creamy chicken Ramen which is really delicious. For appetizers I recommend the pork bao which breaded pork in a steamed bun with their special sauce. For drinks I really enjoy the mango mojito(non alcoholic) and mango bubble tea. The staff there are really friendly and are very helpful when ordering. It's a very cool atmosphere with Japanese anime on the wall. There are also separate Karaoke rooms in the back which you can reserve for you and your friends. Overall it's an excellent place to eat, drink, and enjoy your time with friends and family. A great addition to this community.

I've always wanted to try this place out but never got the chance to. I always seem to pass this…read moreplace though, so I knew exactly where it was when I left work one night and wanted Chinese food. I used Yelp though to make sure it was open. Currently it says they are open until midnight, but with it being already Eleven at night, I decided to call. The gentleman on the phone said they would be serving until 1130PM and asked about how far I would be traveling from. I let him know that I would possibly be 15 minutes away, I ended up getting there at 1120PM. The parking lot is spacious, the front door is on the opposite side of the lot. When I walked in, I was greeted by a young gentleman, sounded like the one who answered the phone. He was nice, let me sit wherever I wanted. There was one other person beside me in the restaurant - she was ordering takeout, then when it came out, she decided to eat some of it out of the bag. I'm just guessing her mouth was just watering for the delicious food! I ordered the Sao Zi Noodle, I wanted something different, and I was not disappointed! This soup was packed with flavor, loaded with potatoes, onions, scallions, carrots, mushrooms, marinated artichoke hearts, and endless amount of noodles, and chili oil was dashed in as well. Yum! It was the best soup I've had in a long time! I also ordered the Spicy Shrimp - note that they have their shell on them, so you will have to get your fingers messy! I'm not sure how they expect you not to make a mess. Definitely ask for extra napkins! It was very good, I ended up eating three and saving the rest for later.. You definitely get your money's worth, minus having to peel them each - I ate three, but had about 10+ still on my plate! White Rice was also served with this dish! I ended up ordering two things off the back of the menu. One was an Asparagus wrapped in Bacon, which was by far the most delicious appetizer I've had. I also ordered the Chicken Meatballs. For $4.95 I received 9 chicken meatballs! They were filling, and could be a meal on their own! Delicious. I cannot wait to get home and eat those leftovers! Just a note that I was freezing sitting in the dining room, I was the only one in there so I can see where that would be a factor, if I didn't feel the vent that was above me, blowing cold air onto me.
