I have never been more disgusted in my life. I chose to go to this harts dry cleaning service location 3 weeks ago. Upon dropping off my clothes, I pointed out to the worker that I want lint to be removed from my clothes when cleaned. I picked up my clothes and they were not cleaned! The stains were still in place, and hair was on the clothes. They did not apologize however, I allow them to try to make it right. Upon returning to retrieve my items, services were still not complete. This old, wrinkled, ugly, dry faced women without and good teeth in her mouth said that they do not provide lint removal and they do not guarantee that my clothes will be completely cleaned. I asked her what am I paying for then? She proceeded to be rude. The customer service was not present. I am completely disgusted with the way people treat others when they are unhappy with themselves. I will never return to this location and I will make sure I inform everyone whom visits this location at my job not to return. The attitudes of the women there are disturbing. Up until now, they have been great. But they recently lost one of my husband's custom made shirts. The folks at the location were very nice. It wasn't until he dealt wit the customer service person for the area that he had a problem. He told my husband, and I quote, "here is how it works...you send me the receipt for the shirt, and I send you a check". That was great, so he thought. Once he sent the receipt for the shirt and he saw the cost, he then decided to deduct "depreciation". My husband was baffled because to have the shirt remade would have been more expensive. Ultimately, he refused to reimburse my husband the total cost of the shirt. So beware. If Hart's loses your item, you may simply be out some good cash. They lost a long time customer. Hope it was worth it for them. My husband's guess is that he will spend a lot more on future cleanings at another cleaning company, then they saved by not reimbursing him the total cost of my shirt. Need to change your slogan as "For the Quality and Service You Expect!" is not accurate. Harts used to be the top of the top in my opinion for dry cleaning.  I had been using concord due to pricing however even though I heard both were owned by the same people and higher priced decided to use Harts as they were supposed to be a higher level of service. In the years I have been using Harts I had to once buy new clothes as my clothes were delayed for several days before I was taking a business trip.  That first visit caused me to try Concord who though I didn't have the issues I later had at Harts almost always had button issues and once had a piece of clothing burned. With Harts, I have had several shirts harmed either by tears in the shirt, ripped out button holes, or incorrect hemming taking away too much of my shirt sleeves once hemming the wrong ones and doing once that were already to size.  Still yet I remained as I figured Concord wasn't any better and since some of the staff at the Georgetown Harts were nice people that I enjoyed seeing.  For a looong time now I have been putting up with an almost each transaction issue of collar buttons on the same side of my collar EACH time even on new shirts being melted or shattered or both.  Generally I would send them back if I had more shirts to take their place.  There were some times when I had to scramble in the morning and sew my own buttons on.  When someone trusts you with their business attire they should be able to trust the clothes are CLEAN, pressed properly, all buttons are accounted for, and no holes etc. are in them.  There has been a major lack in customer service/quality in this aspect.  Here recently I have been finding large oily spots usually on the upper right side of my shirts.  Normally whatever it is comes right out when I send them back.  There have been times I didn't catch it while getting dressed in my sleepy stooper and showed up to work to look in the mirror and had to be the slob for the day.  This last time the claim is that a shirt that I brought already had the spot on it, I agree it may have because it was one I am pretty sure SHOULD have been marked as a redo from the time before.  In addition to that TWO of the buttons on that same shirt were destroyed.  The top button and a cuff button.  This has happened far too often and I have put up with it far too long.  I was VERY close to ending my business with Harts when a matching shirt to a outfit which was very sentimental was lost and the answer was since it was purchased in a set not only was the green undershirt lost but that the overshirt would have to be turned in too.  I am awaiting someone at the Georgetown office to answer my call as their phone has been busy for the past 45 minutes at this point.  I just can't wait to hear what I will be told as when I had issues with two shirts on my last trip and was told (keep in mind LOOONG TIME CUSTOMER who has had the same documented issues multiple times) that I was 4 days outside of the return period (as I had taken some vacation right as I was dropping off my last bundle of shirts). Not only is this NOT the quality and service I would expect but its repeated and I have been too ignorant to leave sooner.  It is not worth the hassle to give someone your money to be a professional and take care of your clothing only to have it mishandled, mistreated and handed back with no quality control etc.   At least up till last Saturday I was able to get MOST of the items fixed.  One green and white checked shirt I was expected for several weeks to continue to use even though the top button had been ripped out and was replaced with a giant thick piece of white fabric which caused the button to break EVERY trip and then have to be redone and resulted in a massive amount of thread to the point you couldn't even button the button at all.  Not to mention looked tacky...  Also I have taken other people's shirts home within my shirts no telling how many times.  I wonder how many times my own shirts made it to someone else's house and I never even knew it.   Update - the phone worked at 1pm so I assume they take it off the hook for lunch.  Anyway Alicia answered and agreed to issue a check to replace the one outstanding shirt that has been missing for months now.  No apology was given for the experience or any extension of a olive branch.  I guess maybe she just knows the struggles and feels its not even worth asking.   Still yet my reviews may have been a bit softer and coupled with how I have liked the front desk staff may have been enough.  But I guess this is for the best anyway, I'll never forget the day she questioned me on my review I had given Harts a 3 star review over 2 years ago.  I see today it has a 2.8 on Google which is quite telling that it is not just me. I loaned a friend of mine a couple shirts to take on vacation with him and he was to have them cleaned once he got home. Well he dropped them off here instead of my usual spot and went ahead and pre-paid and all that good stuff. Well I like my shirts a certain way so I called them and told them what I wanted only for the lady to tell me they can't do it.... supposedly a shirt I've had cleaned multiple times can't be done the way I like and have had done like I said multiple times..... so I just say whatever and hung up and waited 4 days to be able to pick up my 3 shirts.... he drop them off on a Thursday and I was in able to pick them up until the following Tuesday...... i I have absolutely no idea why it took so long they were basically just normal shirts getting dry clean other than one was made of linen.....
