Dry-cleaned!? What! So, a quick search on Yelp led me to Harts. I came in, met some very friendly people, dropped off my shirt (on a Thursday), and picked it up on Monday -- good as new. The only thing that I cringed at was the approximately $4 it cost to dry-clean this shirt. I know that's not much, but for someone that tries to keep a minimal wardrobe and re-wears clothing as much as possible, that adds up. Fortunately, the shirt lasts through several wears and Harts will take care of it well.

For weeks I inquired about it and was told by the staff that they hoped it would show up, but there was nothing else they could do. I asked numerous times to speak to the owner but he consistently failed to discuss the loss with me. Finally, after several months, the staff told me that they would give me $25 for my loss even though the dress would cost me several hundred dollars to replace. Their failure to discuss or apologize for their failure to seriously address their mistake made this a very dissatisfying experience. I am no longer a customer of Beha Cleaners.

Now, the actual cleaning service is good enough, but there's absolutely no reason it should take 5 days to get a suit cleaned. In my line of work, sometimes I have to testify in court. It was a Friday and I learned I would be needed in court next Wednesday morning. So, I took my best suit here to get it cleaned. Dropping it off after work on a Friday afternoon, they told me it would be ready at 7 AM next Wednesday. Indeed, it was ready at 7 AM on Wednesday, and not a moment before. I had to rush home, get dressed and dash off to make it to court, barely in time. It should not take 5 days to get a suit cleaned at a dry cleaner. That should be next-day service (or two days at most, if you get it in late in the day). They'll get your stuff clean, but it's worth your time to go some other place and get it done in a more timely fashion.
