don't often leave reviews, but my experience at Hartnell Mini Storage was so exceptional that I had to take the time to share it. If you're looking for a top-tier storage facility in Redding, this is it -- clean, secure, professionally managed, and backed by a team that truly cares. From day one, Andrew and John, the managers, have been absolutely outstanding. They were welcoming, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. They took the time to explain everything in detail, helped us choose the right unit, and made sure we were fully set up with zero hassle. We had a large amount of items to store and were using a semi truck for the move, which could've been a major logistical challenge. But thanks to Andrew and John, it went smoothly. They went out of their way to help us access the East gate, making sure we had enough space and time to unload. Without their support, that move would have been so much more stressful. Their flexibility and understanding were truly appreciated. The facility itself is immaculate -- well-lit, secure, and extremely well-maintained. With surveillance cameras, gated access, and easy navigation, we felt confident that our belongings were safe at all times. Above all, what really makes this place special is the customer service. Andrew and John treat people like neighbors, not just customers. They checked in with us during the process, made sure everything was going well, and were always available to answer questions or provide solutions. Hartnell Mini Storage deserves every one of these five stars. If you need storage in Redding -- whether for a few items or a full truckload -- this is the team and facility you want on your side. A huge thank you to Andrew and John for going above and beyond! read more

They have allowed ppl to stay in units and spaces when we brought this to their attention Judy in the office said yeah I don't know why he stays in that car I think he has a house. I had to make a move on short notice in May 2015 and was calling around for storage rate quotes and Hartnell Mini Storage called me back with 2 hours and set me up with a unit the next day. They are right on the bus line, which was handy when my car was being repaired. Later when I needed to upgrade to a larger unit I was able to do so quickly and easily and it was all done in under 10 minutes. The security was good and the units I rented were clean and bug free. The service is friendly and courteous and payments can even be made online. read more

I do not recommend that anyone rent a storage unit from Hartnell Mini Storage they are completely unprofessional. Three days after renting the unit we show up at the storage facility with the movers and discover that Hartnell Mini Storage has not taken their lock off of our storage unit and that everyone is on lunch we then call the emergency contact number for the next hour and no one contacts us back so we tell the movers that we cannot pay them to just sit around so we have them off load the entire shipment outside the storage unit finally one of the men who work in the office shows up I then explain our situation to this person who then takes his time goes and sits down at his desk and looks up our storage contract on his computer instead of immediately going down and taking the lock off of the unit by the time I got back to the storage unit the movers had finished off-loading the shipment the employee of Hartnell Mini Storage finally shows up and takes the lock off I then explained to him that given the situation I believe it only fair that my wife and I be compensated for their mistake his response was to blame it on us that we did not put a lock on the unit jumped in his golf cart and drove away he did not try to further discuss it with us or offer any assistance he just got in his golf cart and drove off . When we rented the storage unit we purchased a lock which they insisted upon at the time of the rental and immediately went down and placed it upon the storage unit right next to theirs. It is my hope that you read this review and it convinces you to not use this business in the future sincerely yours Jesse Jordan. read more

There are two facilities so make sure you are getting a unit with the amenities you think you're getting. Good luck.

I was calling various locations looking for a storage unit when I talked to Phil at Hartnell. He asked me a few questions regarding what I would be storing, how long, and whether I had looked at other locations. He even recommended that I go a little bigger so I didn't have to move stuff out in the rain to access my items toward the back of the unit. He then challenged me to visit their location and compare them to others. When I arrived Phil wasn't there but John was and he was very nice and accommodating. He showed me around and I was impressed with the cleanliness and how nice it was. I'm moved in and very happy with my experience. I would highly recommend them. read more

We had a horrible experience at this storage location. Although they advertise "individually alarmed units", not all of the units are alarmed, a fact which was not made clear to us at the time of rental. We only found out about the selective alarm system when our unit was broken into. Also the three entrances to the property is a total lie as you can only enter and exit through one gate. read more
