This company came and did a wonderful job on my stamped patio and concrete stairs. They were…read moredealing with an old home (you know, where nothing is straight or level) and did a pretty good job. The concrete design was a stamp of a cobblestone in tan w/ walnut release. The stairs had to be done a day prior to the patio, so it had 24 hours to start curing before the patio was poured. When the release coat was removed from both the stairs and the patio it was NOT a match. 48 hours after the patio was poured the color finally came through (I, of course, panicked!) and now my stairs and patio match and I've happy with the work. The company is going to come back and make in November to resurface the walls and floors of my 1920's basement. I'm not expecting miracles, but I know these guys will do great work and quickly. I have to say, after reading the reviews, I was skeptical. However, I find myself very pleased with this company and the work....and they are insured, licensed and carry a warranty, so if things go wrong, it gets fixed! Give them a try....they are really busy so call ahead if you can!

You may pay for a driveway 20' long, but you'll end up with a driveway 19' long. Or they will build a quality, solid wall at the top of your driveway, but the cement coating will crack easliy - or the wall design will look bad (it is hand carved and not stamped). And they don't have a lot of consideration for your yard - our gardens had equipment dumped on them, blobs of cement were dropped in the corners of our yard, and small stones were all over the place. I'm not kidding - they do good work....so hire them - - if you are home the whole time, and stand out there and supervise as they go along.

I got a little disheartened and called my realtor and I ended up getting in contact with Jamison. Jamison is very professional and best of all will answer all of your questions promptly. My project wasn't that straight forward and had many different facets to it but he managed to deliver on all fronts. My biggest worry was matching the color of the new addition to the old concrete. Jamison underpromised but over delivered. It matched the old part of the wall perfectly. The project was on schedule and the crew cleaned up the site and now I have a beautiful raised seawall heading into the winter storm season. In terms of pricing, while Jamison wasn't the lowest quote, he provided the best value. His crew was able to install flood planks and do pipe work that other installers were hesitant to do. And the true measure of a contractor and a professional is how they handle themselves when problems arise. The flood planks ended up being installed a few steps down from what was initially proposed but when I pointed this out, Jamison corrected the problem no questions asked. I highly recommend Jamison and his crew. 5 stars all around.

We had just bought a house in Hudson with a…read moregorgeous yard, but stone work that was 5 years old and decaying rapidly - it didn't seem like it was good work to begin with. We went to the show, and put our name into a couple of hats. Only 3 got back to us, Leo, almost immediately, the other 2 within several months (I've yelped and Angie Listed them for their questionable customer service...) Wall definitely needed more than cosmetics - safety and aesthetics - drainage needed to be redone, stones replaced and wall was falling forward...we wanted it fixed. We contacted 3 service providers 2 which didnt even BOTHER to come back with a quote - we are tough negotiators and although we knew the work would cost more than we led them to believe, we wanted to start at a reasonable point and open to suggestions. Leo not only came when he said he would, he was patient with his back and forth negotiation process. Not having heard from the other 2 vendors and feeling his base price was reasonable, checked out other work and listened to his recommendations, we went with FieldStone Pro. They tore down, and rebuilt, recycled our old stone as requested, expanded our yard work, fixed some of the old delapidated areas and delivered a beautiful expanded patio and double tier stone wall (we originally had one tier), that come spring and the added green, is a true "wow" view from our dining room and breakfast nook! Gorgeous work! They delivered on time, cost and schedule what they promised. They exceeded expectations. They had a little incident during the work but they didn't leave us hanging - they kept us informed and made up for lost time. It is of particular notice that for mason work - they are clean, meticulous, organized and detailed oriented. Leo LOVES his workmanship and it shows. He is an extremely personable professional and it was a delightful experience from first stone down-demolition and construction. Most importantly, he came when he said he would. He provided his quotes when he said he would. He delivered what he said he would. And he was reasonable and flexible and accommodating. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended! Cost effective, clean, attentive, professional AND THEY SHOW UP!!! WOOHOO!!!

Jose came out and gave us an estimate that included burying the downspouts to avoid water dumping on the new patio. He was prompt, communicative, and gave us an estimate in a few days. We scheduled them to come the following week. He and his brother showed up right on time, and promptly began digging things out. I was impressed with what they were able to do in a single day. Because rain was in the forecast, they were flexible on coming back a second day to screed the final paver base. It rained particularly hard and it became clear that there was an issue somewhere. When they came back a few days later, I pointed it out to Jose and he promptly dug out the spot and ensured it was properly filled in and compacted. They finished the job and cleaned up. After the first day, they left the site relatively clean (considering they knew they'd be back). Overall, I would 100% recommend these guys and would love to have them back to do additional projects at our home. They were responsible, competitively priced, and wanted to ensure things were done right.

This would take far too…read morelong, so I'll number it and try to be concise: 1) Sales Rep told us "no demo required" and drafted a plan for somewhere between 9-11 galvanized steel piers to be driven into "bedrock" (later explained to not be the case). 2) $10K deposit already processed when the crew showed up. a) "This diagram is inaccurate." "We need to go under the deck and rip up the first 8-10 planks". b) Wrong - we can't go under the deck. "We need to chisel out the floor at the rear of the garage to install 4 piers there". 3) AFTER I was told they had to go in through the garage floor, I told them not to come back, and I needed a day to review all changes, send me a new contract, and drawings. After digesting all the changes, I called and asked if I should grab some 12 mil plastic sheeting to cover up everything in the garage. Digging, cement dust, dirt = headaches. "The crew will take care of all of that for you". After you read this, LOOK at the garage pics, and EVERYTHING the crew DID NOT cover. Free of charge, I get to take everything from my garage and remove the layers of cement dust and dirt off all of it. All my tools, the kayaking equipment, all chairs, the 9 ft high shelving - EVERYTHING. They only had to say "yeah, probably a good idea", and they'd be off the hook. But not Ground Works. It's a DNA thing to just tell anyone what they want to hear. That would have taken me 45 minutes, but now I get to spend hours on another Keystone cops outcome. 4) This 3-4 day job, tomorrow am, 23 Jun, will be day 14. 5) They had an excavator, all the dirt, boulders, and other loose stones parked on the side of the lawn for 13 days before removal. 6) AFTER finally removing the excavator - 22 June - the crew told me I was supposed to remit payment. a) They haven't addressed the large crack in the corner of the garage, and b) I financed 60% of the job through their 3rd party finance company, GreenSky. There is no money owed them, once they finish - it's now on a payment plan through GreenSky. PS - Their office has NO IDEA how this works. Called 3 times to ensure billing would be applied to the account we were approved for. NO CLUE AT ALL. 7) They also had to dig to the foundation on the R side of the garage (known). They dug it up to spill over the retaining wall into the neighbor's driveway. The neighbors couldn't use half their driveway for the same two weeks due to dirt and stones falling into their driveway. Read GROK (preferred AI), & their BBB ratings (33 W Bacon St, Plainville, MA specifically). There is always an excuse, and it's death by a thousand cuts with these guys. I NEVER WANT ANY COMPANY TO LOSE WORK, because there are too many people who lose business because ppl want their butts kissed. Absolutely not the case here. LOOK at the pics, and imagine this is your yard, your house, and all the extra work you get to do after they've left. This is only written so no one else has to go through anything like this, and I'm kicking myself for not trusting my gut. When you see the images of their dump truck in my neighbor's driveway, that's when the home office told the kid to run to Home Depot and jack in some hydraulic cement into a large foundational crack. It was exposed when digging, but they never addressed it. Now it's "sealed" only from the ground up. Good riddance, and I'll dig it out myself to not have them come back. THAT'S how they completed the job. Remember, this company told us 3-4 days. The ONLY reason I agreed to ripping up the garage floor was that I would have it back in a few days. The left hand never knows what the right hand is doing. I hope they read this, and refute it - I'll be happy to elaborate further, this is enough for now. Again, use your preferred AI for reviews, prompt it for follow-ups, delays, service, complaints, and the longer list of complaints for return calls. Prompt for BBB issues with Ground Works at this location. No pun intended, but DIG DEEPER. You do not want this experience.
