I've been visiting Lewistown for years and somehow I had never visited Harry's Place. I had no idea what I was missing. It was the prime rib Friday sign that finally caught my attention. The restaurant was packed. The service was great. I bantered with our server. It was fun. The ambiance was typical small town Friday prime rib night. The prime rib was good. They have a very nice salad bar too. I visited a couple days later for lunch. I had whatever the ham & cheese sandwich was...and it was excellent. That's right: excellent. Helped my nephew move to Lewistown from California to start a new job and picked Harry's from Yelp reviews. Thank you all! Our luck that we picked Friday night, Prime Rib night. Oh my! Let me back up. When we arrived at 4:50 there was 1 table occupied and the waitress asked if we had a reservation. I thought that was cute. My nephew suggested people were just getting off work. He was right. By 5:10 the place was packed. Make a reservation or go early! We both ordered the Prime Rib. I ordered, and included a picture, of what they call the XTRA SMALL. It is huge (to me!). My nephew ordered the large (he's a master diesel mechanic and can EAT) and the waitress said "Are you sure?" He ended up taking 1/3 of his and 2/3 of mine home for leftovers. The meat was perfectly cooked, very tender and seasoned to perfection. Dinner comes with a soup and salad bar. I had a little clam chowder that was delicious. The salad bar was great and included hush puppies as big as softballs. Best I've ever had. Took 2 so I could give one to my nephew so he could experience it. Made him a fan. Dinner also includes your choice from an impressive list of desserts. My caramel apple cobbler is sitting in my hotel fridge waiting for me to get hungry for a late night snack. Menu has lots of options. Meals can include salad bar and soup. There were 3 types of soups. Salad bar was fresh and offered items beyond just lettuce and vegetables. Hush puppies were a treat. The food and service were great! We had a party of seven and everyone loved their food. Burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, salad bar, kids meals, chicken tenders, fries, fried green beans and even a gluten-free shrimp dish. We went Saturday for lunch. I now know not to eat the salad bar. We saw several customers getting things with their hands. (GROSS). The service was slow but they did have a sign up saying they were closing at 4:00 pm because they couldn't find help. That is sad. I ordered a wrap. The meat had no seasoning on it. It had melted cheese inside it. The beer batter fries were better than the fresh cut. Maybe because it had seasoning on it? They have a small outside eating. First, for a small family owned business, the service was amazing. Our waitress was an aged lady, but she ran the pants off younger girls a 1/4 of her age. The food was really good. I had the patty melt someone recommended in another review. It was delicious. Probably top three in Montana so far. But it was small, like half the size of a normal patty melt. The beer battered fries where pretty good. My daughter had the shrimp basket and a salad. The salad bar was pretty fresh. The fried shrimp were pretty good as well. read more

Disappointed we didn't get the opportunity to experience the food. The waitress was so rude and annoyed that we didn't feel welcome to stay. Unfortunate to have to write something negative in a small business in a small town...we headed to an different restaurant and felt like celebrities walking in the door (which we are not!) Nice place to stop. Unlimited soup and salad bar for $10. Prices seemed quite reasonable. My daughter gave the mini corn dogs 10 thumbs up. Slam burger (or maybe it was a grand slam?) was also tasty. Room to park a trailer in the back. read more

We love, love, love the prime sandwiches at Harry's. Medium sliced prime rib beef with your choice of cheese. With or without mushrooms! They are named after basketball terms and my husband's and my favorite is the AlleyOop! All the different types of sandwiches have sorts related names. My grandson loved the salmon dinner! read more

Cute little place right when you pass Shiptons coming into town from the south. We had burgers. They were pretty good. A little bland. Fries were good.
