The best part of the experience for me is eavesdropping on the regulars who talk trash to the other regulars, flirt with the employees, and display the general camaraderie you'd expect in a small town where everyone knows everyone else. As for the food, the cheese omelette had semi-melted white and yellow american cheese artfully placed, and there was plenty more cheese on the inside. It was like a grilled cheese sandwich made with eggs instead of bread. The hashbrowns had some nice crispy pieces, but were otherwise ordinary. Little Montana has an open archway connecting to the convenience store next door -- making it handy for grabbing snacks after your meal before moving on to your next destination. It's nice place to take a break from your travels or hunting expeditions of any kind.

The people were friendly, the coffee fresh and endless, the waiter attentive, and the atmosphere fun and very Montana. As for the food, it was much better than your usual small-town diner fare. The burgers were juicy and cooked perfectly, and the BLTs were loaded and delicious, homemade potato salad like grandma's. The real surprise, though, was their variety of Mexican food. They make all of their own, including salsas on-site, and you can really taste the Mexican flare. In a tiny town at the end of a very desolate stretch of road in a restaurant located inside of a very fancy hotel I would have expected much better service and a later closing time. But in a tiny town? That's very typical behavior. I also would have hoped they would have been more flexible even just for that weekend because there were many people in town for a wedding. But nope.
