My brothers and I inherited several coins and it was a great time to sell. He came across Harry's Coin Shop and highly recommended them to me as well . They are extremely thorough and knowledgeable about the value of the coins. There was no pressure to sell or accept their generous offer . I'm very pleased with the customer service I received from Harry and will highly recommend their business. read more

the worst person, Harry and shop I have ever dealt with! the final straw was watching him give this old couple such a bad offer on their silverware that I had to say something! They are taking profit from both sides by charging a high premium to sell and offering to buy back so far under even spot!! most honest dealers will sell gold with up to 2% premium but buy it back at spot! I will never go there again! read more

Every purshase I have made with Harry has been perfect. His pricing is fair. I always get exactly what I ordered in the exact condition I expected. Of course, I will be going back again. read more

I saw this shop on the web. Finally got there to check it out. Plenty of help with a huge selection. They even had a few gold coins at melt along with Morgan's at melt. It was fun to root through a tray of coins (they let you pick out your purchases). read more

Harrys coin shop is my go to coin place in Beaverton, Oregon. I have gone to shop for probably five years. The last year and a half I go almost 2 to 3 times a week. Harry and his team are the best I've ever seen. They are very helpful, knowledgeable and patient with questions you have. I've even brought my kids here. If I could give Harry more than five stars, I would. If you are looking for a new coin shop to try, Harry's is the place to go. If you're looking for good spot price on precious metals, Harry's is the place to go. read more

Harry's Coin Shop is the best coin shop in the Portland Metro area by far! They are honest, personable and treat everyone whom enters their shop with respect. If you are new to coin collecting or understanding the precious metals market they will take the time to answer your questions without making you feel awkward in asking them. I only wish I had found them sooner! read more

I have collected coins and silver for 35 years. I took two large boxes of coins in to Harry. He fairly appraised my coins very quickly and I was on my way. This is an excellent coin shop and they are very honest. I highly recommend this coin shop. read more

I Was in the shop on Feb 13th to buy some silver and gold. Drove down from Seattle and was disappointed only in the fact they were busy, and I did not get to meet Harry, Adrian, or Richard. They were there but seemed very busy in the back. Would have liked to say hello, but was helped by another employee bill and I got my gold 10th oz and my 10 Buffalos, so I got what I wanted at a good price and no WA Taxes. :) Shop is much smaller than it looks on Silver Dragon's You tube Videos. Next time I will try to get there earlier to say hello to Harry and team. read more

Purchased on Jan 10, 2026 a "1935-D Mercury Silver Dime 10C, PCGS MS-65 FB Full Bands" that looks to have mold on the Dime, have sent many emails and messages in there web site with NO REPLIES, first time buying and last time as I paid $375 for a .10cent Slab coin. If I don't get a return label then I will contact my credit card company, the lack of positive response is very disappointing to say the LEAST! They have enough time to make Silver Dragons videos but NOT help a new customer with a possible coin? Because of Harry's being a small Coin business not what I should have expected as within 14 days I sent messages...Bad Business Harry! UPDATE: Just sent a message and got a reply from Harry's coin shop, but no name so I don't know who sent it? "I already wrote you". Sorry I have not seen any emails from Harry's Coin shop. Then "There is nothing wrong with your coin". Send it back for full refund. Not sure what person sent that, but nothing wrong with your coin, I replied back WOW finally a reply! There is, send a return label. My pictures show that. Nothing wrong, Mold? Now I really don't trust you! To me if Harry's Coin shop sent a message which is great and then we could have had a conversation and gone over what I sent pics showing the issue, so I still keep sending messages with no response then I would think that person did not get it or saw it, which I did not! Then I ask for a return label and got back "That was not very nice forget it" So this is how you treat you mail order customers when they have sent many messages and pics showing what's on my $375 coin? It saddens me that a small Coin shop treats there online customers! If you would have looked at the slab coin with a loupe and see something like Mold or something on the coin I would have expected them to not sell it on line as onsite customers may see what I see and not buy or maybe they did and said lets sell it online when no one can sell it the Mold, and my main concern is not what I paid but will it WORSE? But since whoever sent that email today with out using their name that maybe I could have better understood what's on my coin if they would have worked with me? But just warning online buyers don't support this kind of business! Also Harry's Coin Shop is not even BBB, which surprised me just now when I looked. But they also have some bad reviews, which I was not expected when I made an order. This has left me with a TRUST Issue with Harry's as they DO NOT PUT THE CUSTOMERS position as all, like sorry you are not happy with the coin and happy to take it back as we are a small coin business and want to make you happy. But NOT AT HARRY'S COIN. So sad......Buyer Beware. UPDATE: Someone from Harry's Coin shop now calling me mean guy and rudeness. Wow if this is Harry, first you DID NOT responded to me? FACT. How and what method? You don't say that, also I kept sending messages after messages asking and telling you there's an issue with this $375 Dime, but you just blew me off. Then you wrote in your email that I was "That wasn't very nice very nice" Because I asked for a return label and don't trust you because I never got a reply! Wow Harry. What's NOT VERY NICE is that you did not reply after many messages to you and then you said "nothing wrong with your coin" BUT my pictures prove it, were you the person that purchased this coin or am I? I did Harry, and maybe you had this coin for a long time and it started to have issue, mold or something growing on it (since it's in a slab I will not clean it) But nothing wrong? Hey instead of saying "nothing is wrong" you ask for more pics that seams to be what a honest business would have done, instead of "nothing is wrong" and you wanted me to pay to send it back when it should have not been sent. This is what's wrong with you and business Harry, it's sad that your are this way or your business model. Again maybe it was bad luck on my end to buy from Harry's shop and it will be the last. IMPORTANT: 2 days ago Tina B, wrote a review and posted about Harry's Coin shop "So rude don't go there if he was having a bad day BUT he was rude!! Harry calls me rude, LOL. Need to let others know how Harry handles his customers, just bad business Harry!!! read more

Dropped by the store today for the very first time today. I became aware of the store via Silver Dragon's Youtube videos. I picked up some 90% that I'll drag back to Seattle. Met Harry, who was super friendly. Love this store! If you need silver and/or gold, Harry's is the place!!! read more

I just have to add to this review. I came in again 3 years later and had another amazing experience. Harry is friendly and an expert in his craft. It's a great plan to learn about coins and shop. I highly recommend! read more

Like many folks, I learned about this shop based on a few YouTube videos. Recently, my wife and I decided to pay the shop a visit, and spend a little birthday money. It's easy to get to and and even though it's a bit busy on the weekends, the staff (including Harry himself), are friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. After just being in the space for a short time, hearing the amazing exchange of information and wisdom, it's very clear that these folks are indeed... The Real Deal. There's lots of great stuff here -- from world notes, and coinage, bullion, government minted, to the more numismatist-inclined items. It's a fun place to learn, and shop. A nice diverse selection and a staff that share a core love and interest in coins and other ephemera. I won't get into actual specifics here, but this one experience literally sealed the deal for me. Being that it was my birthday and my wife was treating me to a little fun money, we spent about 45 minutes browsing and collecting a few things for purchase. During our checkout he had overheard my wife saying that it was her treat, he said "Happy Birthday!" and threw in a few extras for us. Nothing big, and of course we tried to refuse, but he insisted. It was very kind and really made our visit amazing. When we got home I was checking over the receipt and noticed that he had neglected to charge me for an item. I knew it was an oversight, so I went back out a couple of days later to let him know. A few thanks, and kind words word exchanged, and I ended up buying another coin! Integrity. Honesty. Genuine. They just made a customer for life. read more

Great atmosphere! Went in to check out the shop after watching a YouTube video featuring the establishment and its staff. Felt surreal to be there! Great prices on silver and bought an international note for only $2! (Found in a 50% off section). I plan to go again real soon. Thank you for a great experience! read more

Harry's Coin Shop - International note. Purchased for $2, from a 50% section! - Hobby Shops Near Me - Beaverton, Oregon

Was excited to visit Harry's since we were traveling through Beaverton. Unfortunately Harry or Silver Dragons wasn't there at the time of our visit. A very tall King Richard helped us find a few things. Very happy with what we purchased except for the twenty silver eagles which were in horrible shape for $36.50 each. I should've checked them out instead of trusting him to pick them out. They're cull and definitely not worth $36.50 each. Maybe a dollar over spot, if that. read more

We came from Sandy to get some coins appraised, driving over an hour, due to the stellar reviews and a recommendation from our attorney. Harry's certainly lived up to its excellent reputation. I've had my Grandfather's coin collection for many years, but felt unsure about visiting a coin shop for which I had no personal references. I mentioned this to friends whose son was a long-time neighbor of Harry's. They assured me he possessed the highest degree of personal integrity & expertise. They were correct! I've sold items at Harry's on several occasions and took a friend who wished to sell her family coin collection. We have high expectations and were extremely pleased with the service and monetary results from Harry and his skilled staff. read more

Had nice coins, I purchased some and was promised they would ship next day with $5 shipping . Payment sent and confirmed. Days later they refuse to mail my order because it was less than $100 even though I paid to have it shipped. I told them I could afford to spend more so they blocked me. It would be nice for them to make it right either by shipping my items or issuing a refund. read more

Famous on YouTube with Silver Dragons, this shop lives up to its reputation. Great prices, great knowledge. I swing by anytime I'm near Portland read more

If you're in Portland and want to buy or sell coins, come here. As a practical matter you will get the best price. My wife and I sold some silver coins last year when the Comex price was $18. Harry gave us $28 for our silver eagles while Liberty Coin down the street offered only $24. But, what really separates this coin shop from others is Harry himself. While in the shop it was clear that we were dealing with a friendly person of the community with a high standard of integrity. It felt very satisfying knowing that my business was helping support such a good person. To top it off, when it was time for my wife and I to file our taxes, we realized we were missing a receipt. I stopped by to see if Harry could help. He took my phone number and said he'd get back. Remarkably, even though by now it shouldn't have been a surprise, I received a text two days later with a photo image of the receipt. Aside from maybe distance, I don't know why a person would shop for coins anywhere else. read more

Excellent shop. Great staff and friendly environment. Many different coins from different times and places around the globe, they also have gold and silver bars, and if they don't have something specific, just ask about it because they can likely get it, or even have it in the back. It's refreshing to feel comfortable taking my time to look at everything, and they're more than happy to help if you have questions. The prices are very reasonable and I always leave feeling excited about everything I've purchased. read more

I started reaching gold by watching films on metals on the internet, and I eventually came across Mr. Klaus. Since I was young, I've held onto a few bags of coins that I thought would make me rich. Finally, I decided to see what they were actually worth - and I was so lucky to have found Harry. He immediately greeted me and made me feel welcome. He diligently went through my bags coins - separating the ones that were worth something (not many) from those that were common (almost all of them). While he was doing this, I enjoyed looking at all the historic coins in the store - I even ended up buying two from the 1800s for the heck of it. Once Harry was finished going through my collection, he gave me a written quote and walked me through the pricing. I was very pleased with the amount - but wanted to think about it. I went back the next week to sell Harry my coins and walked away with some cold, hard cash. I can't recommend this place enough. You can feel it's an honest, pleasant, and respectful business as soon as you walk in the door. I was especially impressed that Harry offered to go through my collection even though I wasn't committed to selling anything. He really loves his job, is an expert numismatist, and enjoys and appreciates everyone who walks through his door. And yes, I had to look up the word "numismatist." read more
