Due to the overwhelming number of positive reviews, I had high expectations for this place. There are not many places to choose from on this side of Perris. My friend and I split a patty melt and fried zucchini. I was craving dessert and saw the sign that they order their cheesecake from a bakery. The food was not good, bread was stale and soaked up way too much oil and the zucchini was overcooked. Ranch was of poor quality and over salted but oh well. Now the cheesecake was served almost hot, about a second away from imploding and falling apart. I would rather they serve it frozen than stale and reheated. Gross! So many of the employees were on their cell phone talking and making poor attempt at multitasking. The place is a hole in the wall but had a dirty feel to it. My friend ended up with food poisoning after that meal-I suspect that the employees having personal phone calls on the job were too distracted and may have cross-contaminated something while cleaning the tables and beverage area using the same rag. Tonight my husband and I ordered in the drive thru a hamburger with extra jalapeños and a regular cheeseburger waited a while and drove home .. opened the food and I ended up with jalapeños in my cheeseburger. .. I am alergic to spicy food so I got really annoyed as I couldn't even eat my cheeseburger and my husband has diary intolerance so the cheeseburger is a no for him I called the place and the owner told me "just take out the jalapeño put in the other sandwich that's it next time we make it ok " I got so pissed I hanged up in his face seriously if this is the example of customer service the owner is giving then no wonder why the employees are all freaking rude I won't give my business to this place anymore I'd rather eat a big Mac seriously read more

After reading so many positive reviews about this place, I was really looking forward to trying the place out. My experience, unfortunately, was not as good as others'. The service was fine and the place was clean, but the food was so unsatisfying that I was just disappointed. I ordered a 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon, & 2 pieces of toast which is a pretty standard order. The eggs were ok, but the toast was dry & it tasted like toasted stale bread. So now we come to the bacon, which is the crowning jewel for me in any meal (breakfast or otherwise). It was so poorly made that I didn't eat a whole strip. That means I left more than a whole strip of bacon UNEATEN! Blasphemy! *crosses self* It was so overcooked that it crumbled in my mouth and tasted like ash. Pity, because these were some thick slices of bacon. I wish I could give this place 4.5 stars. I love so many things about this place. The service is the best. The owner actually works the front register and will give you shit if you ask for exceptions to the usual dish. For example, I ordered the Greek salad with no tomatoes and he was like "but tomatoes are good for you". Haha! And our waitress would also joke around with us. I liked that. It was definitely different from staff that wants to kiss ass for tips. These people were real. As for the food, I really liked my salad. For the price, it really left me satisfied. I have come here in the past when I used to work nearby, and had always had good experiences. I came in here last week for the first time in a year, and still the same good food and fairly friendly staff. My Wife had never been here, and she thought it was good as well. In the past, I have ordered the Kabobs and they are all quite good. The Beef Kabobs are best of the three. Juicy, with just the right amount of char on them. Flavor like that has to be marinated. Good with pita bread and some rice, but even better eaten by itself. The Greek style Chicken is second best, just based on the flavor. A tad dryer than the regular Chicken Kabobs, which are good as well. No bad kabobs at this establishment. The Kabob plate comes with a Greek Salad, which is great by itself. All those onion slices and olives. Mmmmmm. The Feta cheese that comes with the salad is great, but when I eat the kabobs with the pita bread and rice, I like to use the cheese to crumble into the pita/beef/rice gordita that it becomes. The best thing on the menu here is the soup. Some of the BEST homemade Chicken Noodle Soup is made here. To the point that I crave it. No canned soup even holds a candle to it. I don't believe it is always available, so ask if they have any. The Pastrami here is OK. The meat is just standard. The bread that it was it I remember it being stale last time I tried this item. But the fries were good! My Wife had a French Toast plate, which her pregnant butt handled in 10 minutes. She said it was better than most, but not better than hers. She is quite the French Toast connoisseur these days. The bacon it came with was thin and gummy. The staff here is somewhat indifferent. Not rude, but not necessarily friendly either. There is one or two Women there that are really nice, but for the most part they are just there. Pretty good at refills, I'll say that much. Ordered 2 hamburger combos through the drive thru. You can actually see the cooks making your food through the window, which is pretty cool. The burgers are cooked on the flame not on the flat top so you can see the flames lighting up the kitchen while you wait and all from your car. The burgers were delicious. With the combo you get your choice of fries, zucchini or onion rings all for the same price & a drink. We got zucchini & rings, and they came with ranch. Good stuff. Their menu is wide, they serve breakfast all day, have mexican dishes, sandwiches, salads, Fried chicken dinners, seafood etc. Will pass by again next time I'm in the area. Harrys café has the worst customer service!!! The manager is awful. He said that I insulted him by saying it was not good quality lettuce. He went to the back fridge and pulled out the lettuce to show me and said I was the one that doesn't know about salads. He didn't see anything wrong with selling someone $7 dollars of iceberg lettuce! After arguing with him for 5 minutes he said what do u want? I told him I want my money back. One of my favorite places to go for lunch. It is not a fancy place. It has a 'Farmer Boys' or 'Greek Cafe' style set up. Menu is full of American, Mexican meal options. We've been watching them build this restaurant on our way to and from work every day and were so excited to see that they were finally open. Went her for the first time last week and got a BLT with avocado combo. The bacon was crispy, and the avocado was fresh! Yum! Went here again for my family tonight because I didn't feel like cooking. Nice to watch them cook our food, all fresh. This time I got the tuna melt which was delicious. My husband got the Gyros and the Patty Melt (yeah, I guess he was hungry!) and my daughter got the hamburger. Clean. Staff was courteous. I really liked that I didn't have to clean my own table to sit down. The food was good but nothing special. The breakfast burrito was HUGE but not too fond of the idea they don't cut up the meats in the burrito. Just weird to me. Taste-wise it was good but again, nothing special. The French toast special was okay too. Lots of food. We got a side of hash browns but I wouldn't do that again. Decided to try this place out since I was in the mood for catfish. The parking lot is cramped near the building, so if you have a nice car you'll probably have to park fairly far away. The inside of the building is alright. You have a dining area on the right side of the building with plenty of seating, but you also have some benches near the cashier's area for people ordering to-go. There are no TVs in here, so bring your entertainment if you come to dine in. The cashiers and cooks seemed friendly enough. I ordered the catfish meal and a side order of fried zucchini. My order took about 15 minutes to make. I, in my infinite wisdom, did not read the menu closely enough to figure out that the catfish was not fried or breaded. (Despite the fact the item's name didn't even have the words "fried" or "breaded" in it.) The catfish was alright. I've had cooked catfish a couple of times at a chow hall as part of their "healthy meals" option, but I stupidly assumed a restaurant with a drive-thru would only have fried catfish. The catfish did not seem to have any flavor or seasoning from what I could tell. (Or maybe I have a horrible sense of taste?) The provided lemon wedge helped a little bit with adding some flavor. The portion was good though. The fries that came with it completely swamped the catfish. It was pretty much enough for two to three people to eat. There was nothing outstanding about the fries other than the volume. The meal also came with a salad and soup. The salad was your common, small garden salad; not much to say about it. The soup was alright. I had a choice of either minestrone or beef stew; it came in a small 1 1/2 cup container. I picked the beef stew and there was a fair amount of vegetables chopped very small and some strips of beef in it. The fried zucchini was also humongous in it's portioning. It's enough to serve three to four people. It came in a separate paper bag that was completely soaked at the bottom with oil. It came with ranch dipping sauce which was nice since neither the zucchini itself or the batter had any sort of seasoning. The food came in stick form like fish sticks, but they were fairly soggy. The food was pretty devoid of flavor. My roommate ordered a burger and vanilla milkshake, which he seemed to like. So with that being said, don't order the catfish meal or fried zucchini. read more

After a 25 min wait with only 4 cars ahead of me they gave me my bill. It was approximately $2 more than advertised. I asked why all the way up to the owner. Was told they dont offer that any more. Hubby and I had mixed reviews. I ordered the pastrami sandwich, hubby had the ribeye steak and eggs. I thought the pastrami had way too much mustard, which made the bread super soggy. I've driven past this place several times and always wanted to try it. As others have noted, Harry's is much like Farmer's Boys because they have a little bit of everything. The prices are reasonable considering the large quantities of food you get. I went in the drive-thru and, as expected, had a longer wait time versus most fast food places. That's the price you pay for freshly-made, quality food... or so I thought. I was craving a pastrami sandwich and was happy that I was able to watch it being made through the window. The meat was stacked high and looked absolutely delicious. I live about 5 minutes away and by the time I got home the bread was already soggy and falling apart. The meat tasted way too salty and had a tough texture like it had been overcooked. I'll give this place another try but I'll order something else next time. read more

After years of driving past this place I decided to give it a try. They offer a wide verity of food so you could come with your family or a group and I'm sure everyone would be happy. It reminded me of a Gus Jr or Farner Boys. There were so many options that I changed my mind about 5 time while in line. When I got to the front of the line, there was a sign, "Todays Special: Fish and Chips". I consider this a sign, no pun intended. I love seafood, but I am not one to order fish at any type of fast food place. Harry's Cafe made a believer out of me! The fish was cooked perfectly and tasted fresh! So much flavor and the batter was delicious! They gave me three huge pieces of fish, almost the size of a fillet! They also gave me a generous portion of fries! On top of that, they serve you a side of tartar sauce. I ordered a side of ranch because I'm not a tartar sauce fan. They had good ranch and since the rest of my food was good I figured I may as well try the tartar sauce, omg! That was good too!!! Seriously a must try! I don't recall how much my meal was, but I do recall it wasnt too pricy and I got way more food then I would have expected. Don't let the interior turn you away from this place, it isn't dirty but it just seem slightly run down. It got pretty busy while I was there and since it's pretty close to the freeway there were all types of people eating there. I saw a lot of orders of fried zucchini being served and it looked really good! I deducted star because the service was a little slow, and mostly because there were some customers there that made me feel uneasy. Placed a phone order hoping to have it ready when we arrived since they told me 5-10 minutes. We got there in about 15 minutes and still had to wait another 10. On top of that while we were waiting I noticed NONE of the cooks or cashiers helping prepare the bags and taking my credit card were wearing GLOVES. In this day and age with Covid-19 spreading they should be taking EXTRA precautions. I was EXTREMELY disappointed with this. Their food is good and always hits the spot but DEFINITELY not worth it if they are doing nothing to protect patrons as far as gloves are concerned. In addition to I also noticed they raised their prices AND give smaller portions on sides (such as fries and fried zucchini). Don't know if 1) I'm willing to pay the price (and risk) where my health is concerned and 2) paying more and getting less. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.
