This was a very fun experience that was especially great for kids who already love Harry Potter. We went as 2 adults and still had a great time, but it was definitely more focused for kids. This is effectively a 1-hour show that happens while riding a train. They have digital screens and lights added inside to enhance the performance and enable some of the magic. What makes or breaks it is the performance of the 6 actors throughout the ride. Ours were very talented and did a great job working the crowd on the train before the show even started. If you're a big Harry Potter fan already, then you would surely have a fun time. One thing we were definitely worried about before we got there was how hot it was outside and whether we'd be sweaty and uncomfortable during this experience. I'm happy to report that you need not be concerned about this! They had a large tent set up where you wait before your show as well as a tent set up for after your show. Both were EXTREMELY well air conditioned with large portable A/C units. The train ride was also air conditioned, so the only time you weren't in A/C was while walking to and from the train, which was very much appreciated during the current heat wave. I'd definitely recommend arriving 30 - 60 minutes before your start time so you don't feel rushed. In the pre-show tent they have a waiting area with some merch for sale, a couple photo ops (Platform 9 3/4 and an Owl Post office), and a coloring station with crayons and a couple Owl Post postcards you can color in. Pro tip: all the merch available here is available in the post-show tent as well (plus a lot more merch that isn't available here), so feel free to browse, but I'd recommend waiting until after to make your purchases. In the post show tent they have a frozen butterbeer station (for purchase), a lot of merch, and a photo op with the Hogwarts Express train engine. Why didn't I give this experience 5 stars? Just because of the cost. It's so expensive for just a 1-hour show and a few photo ops. I really enjoyed it, but it's expensive for a family of multiple kids and just feels imbalanced for what it is. If it were priced appropriately, it'd be a 5-star experience for sure.

This is a fun experience for the kids, and adults alike. About 90% of the attendees were dressed in their Hogwarts house robes, so come dressed if you want. The general price range per ticket is between $74-$95, I believe. I'd recommend arriving at least an hour early so you can check out the souvenirs and take photos throughout the area. Also because the Box Office CLOSES AT SHOWTIME. Therefore, all boarding passes must be picked up prior to this time. You don't want to miss that. Parking was only $6 and you can purchase it online when you buy tickets to ensure your name is on the entry list. After boarding the train, you can expect a show aboard the train. It was a fun show for the kids, and you get a chocolate coin aboard as well. It was really good chocolate. The fun ends a little over an hour and a half later and you are released to a different area where you're able to buy butterbeer at the bar in souvenir cups. There's also more souvenirs and a huge train front for you to take souvenir pictures in front of. All around, it was a bunch of fun and I'd recommend it for Harry Potter fans.

Skip it. If you are not local to area and live anywhere in the four corners region, choose one of the other stops. We never should have booked this instead of waiting for it in Durango. While the actors were great, the overall experience did not meet expectations.

We had a great time at this event. We were worried about the heat but the tent was well climate controlled as well as the train. It was a pain free project from getting our tickets online to getting checked in. The illusion entry was fun for all of us, but you need someone on the other side to film it. The merch area is large and there is a bunch of fun stuff to look at. Prices are pretty high, but it is a licensed item sooo. I wished they did the Butterbeer before and after the train ride because there was no food or drinks available. The photo ops had well laid out lines on the floor, but we didnt even wait line when we arrived it was empty, which was great. There is a post section to color a post card. The actors are great at interaction and the magic is a vibe. Adults and children loved it. We are big fans of HP so we dressed up but it is not required and you could buy robes there if you wanted to spend the $$. The bathrooms outside are clean but extremly hot. Not having food, I feel is a missed opportunity. Overall we had a great time and loved our carriage actors.

Then, a one hour show on the Hogwarts express ending in Hogsmeade with a butter beer station and the same merch from the previous gift shop, and a good rendition of the Hogwarts express for photos. Pros: -The cast did a great job and was very enthusiastic with their performance! -I see the effort, they did a good job with what they had to work with. My kids enjoyed the show and it should be fun for HP fans. -The staff were all so nice and friendly Cons: -They sent a few emails recommending to come 1 hour before showtime so that's what we and the rest of the people did. The waiting area was a black tent with NO AC. It was over 100 degrees outside and people were dressed up in their house robes crowded together. It took 1 minute to get the tickets from Will Call and the rest of the hour was waiting in that sweltering heat. I'm not sure if it was just broken today since the tent at the end had AC, but people were miserable, young kids were complaining, crying etc. Do NOT come 1 hour ahead, 30 minutes should be enough. If you come earlier do yourself a favor and grab the tickets and wait back in your car with some AC and water. -Also, for the price I'm not sure if it's worth it unless you get an aisle seat.

We probably should have went when they first opened to beat the heat instead of walking around outside mid-afternoon. The volunteers at the entrance were really nice and helpful, our favorite was Max who took his time to explain the ins and outs of an F1 after helping our youngest climb into the cockpit. We purchased a few things at the gift shop, do we offer a military discount? Not sure because we weren't asked. There are many interesting things to browse around through here including a whole space section plus an underground bunker simulation, lots of hands on things that kept our kids occupied for a couple hours. My youngest was excited to find an f-15 outside, but bummed there were no f-18s that his daddy used to work on. All in all, it was an enlightening first experience, I love how all these volunteers are here doing something they love, although most seemed to just be there for social hour amongst themselves rather than speaking to the patrons. It was a fun family affair to kill time and learn new things!

The ticketing machine was a little slow but after three tries I got my ticket to work. The security guard also helped me at 6:30am. You can also buy tickets on the Metrolink mobile app but I wanted paper tickets to show to the bus driver when I got dropped off at Anaheim (aka Artic ) station. If you purchase Metrolink tickets you can take the bus free and get dropped off right in front of Disneyland. The bus I took was the blue Art bus #15 ( Check the Away-We-Go app). Future trips can also be purchased at the Kiosk only. This means you can buy a ticket for the next day, board the bus for free, and get back on the train. This train was clean and not crowded. It didn't smell. I have fragrance / chemical sensitivity so I feel that's important to mention. There was plenty of parking and really friendly people. I highly recommend using the Metrolink app to live track any transfer trains and know which platform to stand on. Best of all the ride is fun and you don't have to be stuck in freeway traffic. Round-trip ticket for an adult costs $20. I signed up for the rewards program because it's free. If you are going to Disneyland, you can also head to the Anaheim Canyon station but Artic station was nice with plenty of security and it connects to Amtrak trains and other bus services.
