"Snake Cake" at the Grand Opening of Harris in Wonderland in Canton, CT.
Tom D.

Love the new location -- much larger & open, and better lighting to see all the displays. Harris In Wonderland has an amazing variety of reptiles, some of which I have never seen before, even at Reptile Expos. The staff is very knowledgeable & helpful. We currently keep half-a-dozen herps at home right now, so we are not planning on getting any new ones in the future. But Harris in Wonderland has very good prices on feeder insects & mice, we will definitely be returning regularly for all our reptile feeding needs.

Love this pet shop. First, I think prices are mostly fair. Second, no issues trying to get my snakes to eat their feeders.

Every time I come here with my boyfriend I always find an animal I want, I love my Snakes and bearded dragons and I always have to be told No because right now we don't have any room. So I saw 2 tortoises and that was it for me I was planning on my future farm house and how the hell am I going to sneak Pegasus and Delilah out the damn door yes I named them lol. I think my boyfriend knew what was going on in my head and he said No and I am not allowed out of his sight. Bummer then when he saw me looking at the Quails he told the man what fish he wanted the amount and told the cashier he had to babysit me before ( he called them hens) quails go missing along with the dinosaurs. The guy laughed and I was hand held out the door, and my boyfriend said he will work on buying us a farm house but I am not getting the damn dinosaurs lol.

I bought an adult White's tree frog that died in quarantine within 2 weeks. I am an experienced frog owner with 4 healthy Whites. I notified Harris in Wonderland and was informed it was the second from the batch that had died. They took my name and assured me that they would make it right. I expected an even exchange or full refund but when new frogs arrived in the store they only offered a partial refund towards a new frog or store credit. They told me they don"t normally refund amphibians but this is not a posted policy nor was it told to me verbally at the time of purchase. I feel they should have made me whole and sought out their vendor to make them whole.

Look at this adorable happy snake

I went to Harris in Wonderland for the first time last week and the store was really cool and the animals all seemed very well cared for. I bought my snake Juno and she is very friendly and ate without any hesitation! They were very helpful and answered all my questions and they were very reasonably priced!

He also wanted to see his most up to date Rabies vaccine. He said he would call me when he's ready in around three hours. So I went around town to do some errands. I got the call around 4:00 that he's ready and I could pick him up. I couldn't wait to see his fresh new summer haircut! I was so, so very embarrassed with what the groomer told me. He said they couldn't cut around his face, he was way too aggressive. He really isn't an aggressive dog at all. He's had most of his teeth removed, so couldn't be aggressive by biting. I thought they did a great job on his body, and he smelled so fresh and clean. His head was a bit uneven because he was wiggly. They didn't charge me for this haircut, that was pretty embarrassing too, they worked on him for a long time. They didn't even want to accept my tip. I truly appreciate their honesty and their hard work. I'm going to work on fixing the unevenness my self. I recommended Petco of Avon even if I won't be returning here. They are hard working and honest. If your pup could sit still it'll be so much easier for everyone.

It's not user-error, as I've attempted from multiple different devices with no success. So I attempted to purchase and schedule the training sessions by calling the store directly. When I did so, they told me I had to purchase online or come into the store to purchase training sessions. I told the guy about the website issue and that I wasn't able to purchase online, his response was that "he's not concerned about the website and has nothing to do with it". So I drove 25 minutes to the store to make the purchase. Once at the store they told me I could only purchase training sessions when the trainer is at the store. How do these people make money, I give up...

I just love that) But it took my awhile to finally stop and go in (had to yelp research it first!). I'm so glad I decided to check it out after seeing all these amazing reviews! My 9 month old puppy had recently determined he no longer enjoyed his Stella & Chewy raw coated kibble, so I brought him into WAGS to see if I could find an option for him that he did enjoy. Ken gave Bard, my puppy, a couple of different samples to try. Eventually it was determined that Bard didn't like any dry kibble, but loved raw meat. Susan also helped to verify this. (Susan and Ken have a slightly different technique in helping you find the right food for your pet) They were both so helpful and had a wealth of knowledge. Bard ended up with Steve's Real Food beef patties has his meal of choice. (plus some dog yogurt from Nuggets!) It's been a week and he is loving the switch. Ken also gave me his card and told me to call with any questions or concerns. Absolutely wonderful place!

Since switching her diet she's gotten much healthier, and seems way more like the girl we remember. If you're looking for a value or discount establishment go somewhere else, but if you're looking to do right by your animals, this is very likely the best place you can go. The level of passion shown by the owner was especially nice. This is the kind of spot that I hope stays in business, for the animals sake.

Such a cute little store with lots of garden decor, trellises, and pet food. GreAt selection of bird seed and cute birdhouses. Good prices and the staff was friendly. This was most likely due…read moreto the fact that have been to similar garden centers in the area that had limited selection and high prices. My first time in I was surprised that the prices were not at the usual "we are in the Farmington Valley so lets screw them" levels. I was also really surprised how many of the customers they knew by name. Nothing speaks as well of a business as having such long term customers that you know many on a first name basis. I big plus for me is that they have a large selection organic gardening supplies. More than anyone in the area and at fair prices. (Not to get off track but if you vegetable garden you get better yields and quality if you go organic. I made the switch several years ago and haven't looked back.) Bidwell's also has that true garden center atmosphere. Garden stuff, fireplace stuff, bird stuff, and even a friendly cat that sleeps in the box of peat pots. In short, a good friendly place that may just have that odd yard, garden, or pet thing you are looking for at OK prices.
