Towards the back, there's a rack with discounted pastries; we say baguettes (white and wheat, sweet potato pie, pumpkin pie, some cookea, and muffins! Would highly recommend checking it out to save some money! The self check-out was easy to use, and there was an attendant nearby to help customers if needed.

No big issue I normally shop at HEB in Elgin ( because the food is better and customer service is as well) but he could at least say "Hey I need to check on something I'll be right back." More training is needed and should be done before HEB in Manor is built. I'm sure ppl will still shop at Walmart but maybe less with the new clothing and food selections coming soon.

The staff is courteous and they carry the staples from hygiene items and pet food to baking goods and dry groceries. They even have a limited selection of dairy and vegetables. If you need to rent a movie and don't want to drive into town, the have a nice video rental kiosk (non-redbox) that carries new releases on DVD and BluRay. All in all it serves a need and does it very conveniently.

I was told to get there early because the pineapple's go fast. Score...I found a stack of pineapples to choose from and more! Pork skins is what you normally find in a San Antonio super market. However, the pork skins in JD's Super Market are massive. Never seen such large pork skins in my life. Also, I found some Mexican drinks like Agua Fresca (refreshing drink made with fresh fruits blended or squeezed into water, often sweetened with sugar) and horchata (creamy drink made from rice, cinnamon, and vanilla, popular in Mexico). There were a variety of sweet treats on the shelf as well as grab and go that you do not typically see in other super markets. I imagine if you looking for exotic spices or unusual goods, this is the market for you.
