Amazing location... stopped to get gas, the price was the same as everywhere else and thought might as well pop inside to see what's what... I have a habit of going immediately to the beer section to see what they carry and I went straight to the back. There was a very nice selection of crafted brews, 3 glass cases full, and 4 cases of the big batch stuff.. pretty nice selection for a small country store. But then I turned the corner... there was another 4 glass cases full of more craft brews here too... and a rack of big boys too!! I was stunned!! Then I really started looking... there must have been 150+ different brews here! As I spun around I noticed a wine selection that would rival most grocery stores as well! Not just reds with a couple of whites either... a full selection of whites as well. Ok now I was Impressed. Forget the fried chicken stand or the cowboy hats and belts... forget writing about the funny candy deal I found... this location just got put on my map! I took a bit and selected a very good, harder to find, stout and walked up to check out... the owner was standing there and commented on my great selection... then he said "I know that one is harder to find, but if there are other types we don't have, that you would like, let me know and I'll get them too!" I'm serious as a heart attack... no freaking joke! Great guy, great selection, I'm going to be a regular here for sure! read more

Absolutely insane beer selection, they even have Electric Jellyfish tallboys. At least 12 different hazy IPAs, all quite freshly canned, and a fair share were local at that. Some interesting bombers, too. Seriously nice guy at the front. read more

I had to sit down and write this review because of the awesome customer service I received from the cashier...possibly owner? My car stopped working at this gas station. The attendant was so helpful. He called his friend who was a mechanic to drive over and take a look at the car. He even offered me water and also charged my phone. This is amazing customer service. His mechanic friend was able to fix the problem so I could make my way back home, which was 2 hours away. Thank you, thank you for being so kind and available to help me out. read more

Customer service is amazing! They are the only place in elgin who serves my favorite alcoholic beverage and to top it off, I asked about the 6 packs in the flavor I like most and they ordered them! Customer service is always always always good here! read more

Docs has been my favorite convenience store for 4 years now. Its clean, well organized and very fairly priced. I was surprised the first time I saw how much they charge for Tylenol ect. Its the only gas station/convenience store I have ever seen that does not over price those items. read more

I give them one star because there in Elgin. The customer service is lousy.Since new management has taken over the following has occured: 1. cleanliness has gone down. 2. the workers are rude and obnoxious. 3. the customer service is lousy. 4. The prices are outrageous. After my conforntation with the worker on 8/4/2012, they never have to worry about me returning or anyone else that I know that lives in Elm creek. I use to go into this store almost twice a day to help small business in my community, but if i have to tolerate this kind rudeness. i will drive down the street to Texaco where there friendly and there prices beat them hands down. read more

Very clean but, they intentionally do not put prices on merchandise so you are paying top dollar. Most people don't go check the prices and then put merchandise back so they make more profit. Just a little warning about how they work. For clean they get a (4) four stars but, for being sneaky, I'm taking (2) two back. So, I would give them a (2) two star. Stop trying to be sneaky with the pricing and I would give you a (4) four stars. read more
