This is a quaint and peaceful little .75 acre park next to a busy intersection in the Heart of Lakewood. I don't see it used very often other than the annual Lakewood Christmas Tree. I suspect it is because from the busy street, all you see is the landscaping and don't see the paved circle ringed with benches as they are hidden behind the berm. There are some grassy areas where you could lay a blanket down.
This is a perfect park to sit outside and read a book, enjoy a lunch, have a picnic and just listen to the busy world pass you by. There is a parking lot that does get busy around meal times that is right next to it.
There is some shade and it would make a great place to play chess if you bring your own table and some chairs.
It is set up to be reservable. There are no facilities such as restrooms or drinking fountains, but there are plenty of nearby businesses that I'm sure would allow you to use theirs if you patronize their establishments. read more
