    Mediterranean chicken salad
    Bill V.

The restaurant was very clean and comfortable. The service was good. The food was very good, and the calamari was excellent. My daughter's mediterranean grilled chicken salad had 2 small pieces of chicken in it, but other than that, it was a good experience.

Ok so the only reason I went with 4 stars is because we went here as a group and wanted items from the bars bite menu and unfortunately you cant do the happy hour bar bites prices if you dont go to the actual bar and with a group as large as ours we could only split the bills by 4 separate checks which is super inconvenient if you have a lot of seniors who dont use cash app or zelle or that type of technology. Now as far as the service, the staff was great and I ordered a kids chicken strip meal and an old fashion that was like a banana chocolate flavored one....it was weird but I drank it because im not wasting it lol but the chicken strips OMG I've eaten a gazillion chicken strips in my life and these were phenomenal. The batter was light and reminded me of tempura and the seasoning was so on point I would totally go back just to order this

I totally forgot to take pictures, but I had the Tuscan ribeye with pesto sauce and grilled asparagus. Also ordered a house salad with blue cheese dressing. My husband had the same and I'm gonna have to tell you. This was one of the best meals I've eaten in a long time out, the steak was delicious that pesto sauce they have on there is so good. The service was amazing as always in the ambience was nice. It's a nice place to go. this was our Valentine's Day dinner and it was delicious and I really enjoyed it and I hate I forgot to take the pictures but we were enjoying going out. I did get a shot of the salad before I devoured it.

Harper's is a classic bar/restaurant and Grill. It's a very large restaurant with lots of seating. It is in an area with a lot of shopping so there is ample parking. Overall, the service was OK. It wasn't anything outstanding. Our server forgot a few things and mixed up orders a few times however outside of that, he was very pleasant The food overall was OK, nothing special. It was fine for a post work dinner, but I would not necessarily want to go back.

Harper's at Friendly Center in Greensboro is one of our go to's.. We usually eat in the bar area. The food is always good and the establishment has a "nice restaurant" vibe. Today I got the Salmon wrap and pasta salad. My wife got Chicken noodle soup and the Wedge salad. Not an elite food experience, but reliable upper scale chain in my opinion..

My youngest son took me out for dinner this evening, and he made reservations to this restaurant. We ordered calamari as our appetizer, and it was delicious. He ordered the ribeye w steak fries and a coke. He wanted his steak cooked medium rare, and thought steak was slightly over cooked to his desired texture. I had the trout w garlic mashed potatoes, and a glass of Chardonnay to pair my meal w. Zack/ server was very cordial and attentive, which made our experience even better. We were both stuffed but couldn't resist to have dessert. Overall, I think Harper never disappoints again the service made a great impact to having a phenomenal dinner with my family. The restaurant is always clean. There's also a bar section that I may give it a shot one of these days.

I visited Harper's as part of a holiday luncheon with my colleagues. We were seated in a designated section of the restaurant and assured by multiple employees. The service was great. Everyone was friendly and helpful when answering any questions that we had. Due to this being a booked luncheon, we were given preselected menu items to choose from. I ordered the salmon with asparagus. I'm not a fan of asparagus, so I ordered a side of the mashed potatoes, which were so good. The salmon was lacking seasoning, in my opinion. While waiting for our lunch, a few of us walked over to the bar to order a drink. I ordered a Strawberry Lemon Drop. The bartender did her thing when making my drink. I wish that I remembered her name because she deserves all of the credit. I'd go back to Harper's just because of her bartending skills. The food was lacking for me. Perhaps I would've enjoyed it more if I was able to pick from other menu options.

We stopped in recently for dinner and we were not disappointed! I ordered the trout, sweet potato fries, and a side of seasonal veggies - all delicious. HIGHLY recommend the sweet potato fries with their honey mustard - it's basically drinkable. Hubby loved his wings and our toddler had zero complaints!

This place is GOOD and I'm mad that it took me so long to discover it! I went with coworkers on a weekday during lunchtime and it wasn't too busy. We were seated immediately. I ordered the salmon wrap. The wrap comes with your choice of side from three options (fries, sweet potato fries, or pesto pasta salad). I chose the pesto pasta salad. The whole meal was delicious! Service was quick and friendly. There were many other things I wanted from the menu, so I'll need to go again. Parking is plentiful since this is located in the Friendly Center.

We went for a Sunday lunch with our baby around 2pm and there was at least 5 table waiting in the line. We waited for around 25 minutes and they called us to show our table. I look around and they were at least 5 tables empty around us. What it looked like a full restaurant actually it was a disorganized staff that did not work properly to receive their customers. After that we stay for more 20 minutes to the waitress ask us about drinks and more 15 minutes to return to order the food. When the food came we were so hungry and tired of waiting, but I thought the waiting would worth it. Unfortunately, it doesn't. My steak was ok, the size was less than I expected, my husband order the tuna that at least was more tasty than mine. Probably won't came back for the long waiting but it sad to see such a nice, well located and beautiful restaurant with some disorganized service.

    Salmon wrap...it was just ok.

I've been to this spot several times and each time is a different experience. I've had great food and also some not so great food. This visit falls somewhere in the middle. I ordered a salmon wrap and was a little disappointed. Overall the wrap was decent but it lacked a lot of flavor that it should have. No seasoning at all. Seems like they just assemble the wrap and didn't think about salt and pepper. They are not off my list just yet, I would go back and try it again if I get a chance.

    Fish & chips

I wish I remembered to go to this place more often. I always sit on the bar side & it is very cute, nice date night ambiance. The food was spectacular! My husband ordered pasta & I went with my tried and true fish & chips. Honestly, his pasta was so good, I ate half! Service was so-so, neither good nor bad. She did her job, but nothing notable or friendly. We definitely recommend this place for a date night. It's somewhat pricy, but I would say the food is worth it.

We finally had a chance to try Fishbones on Walker Avenue. We were looking for something casual and…read moreinviting and what we found was a rustic, engaging vibe at Fishbones. We started out with cocktails. I had a Hendricks dry martini straight up (it was delicious) and my wife had a Don't Call Me Sweetie which is mix of Hendrick's Gin, Lemon, Cucumber, Basil, Simple, Saline 15. It is very citrus heavy, so be advised. She had them cut it with a bit of cranberry to offset the citrus. For main courses, my wife had the grilled salmon and she chose sautéed garlic spinach and wasabi slaw as her sides. I ordered the shrimp and grits and my side was blackened green beans. Let's talk main course first. My wife's salmon was terrific. Flaky and moist and very tasty. My shrimp and grits was unique because it was a real balance between large pieces of shrimp and the grits. Many times you'll order this dish and end up with a pile of grits with some shrimp sprinkled on top. This version is very tasty and a really nice balance of flavors. The Cajun seasonings have it some kick, but it did not overpower. The side dishes are where we had a couple of surprises. First off the sautéed spinach was really delicious, but my wife's wasabi slaw was bland. It's a huge shocker because when you see the word wasabi, you expected to have some Asian kick to it. This did not. It was hard to even identify that it had wasabi in it. That was a disappointment. The surprise was the blackened green beans. They actually were one of the stars of the show. Their flavor and texture was just awesome. We could've ordered a huge bowl of it and eaten all of it. While it didn't need it, there was a dipping aïoli on the side, just in case we wanted to add that to the green bean experience. As I mentioned off the start, Fishbones is a very casual experience. It's very pub-like in that way. We really loved it and the wait staff, which is a team approach as anyone who passes you makes sure you're doing OK, were kind, upbeat and helpful. Even with the bland slaw, we can't lower our rating because overall the experience was terrific. We will definitely come back.

Husband and I popped in for a week night dinner after doing some holiday shopping. It's a small, but very cute place. Can sit at the bar or at one of the high top tables. I enjoy sitting by the fish tank they have toward the back. I love their peel and eat shrimp, so we decided to get a pound as an appetizer. These shrimp are the big guys and I highly recommend asking for the Old Bay seasoning on them. I tried to limit my use of the melted butter (of course yum) which wasnt too hard as their cocktail sauce is pretty darn good. The balance of sweet, spicy, and tangy in their preparation is spot on. For entrees we went with two of their most popular dishes. Hubby ordered the farm-raised catfish. This dish comes with certain sides but you can customize, he got the slaw and blackened green beans. I got the blackened ahh tuna medium rare which comes with your choice of two sides. I went for corn and the blackened green beans. My tuna was perfectly prepared and hit the spot. I received two big half pieces of golden yellow corn. It had nice subtle sweetness. Their blackened green beans are a must try. Perfectly seasoned. The creamy dipping sauce is also delish but tried to limit use. This was a lot of food and very healthy. I left plenty full with no guilt. Everything was superb. The service was also very attentive. No issue getting a table on a weeknight. There is something for everyone on the menu. I've never been able to convince myself to get anything but seafood as their specialty, but they do have options for meat-lovers and even some vegetarian and vegan options available. I bet they are good too. Be sure to look at their Facebook page and website to see their weekly Specials. After you give Fishbones a try you, like me, are going to think you should come more often each time you do!

They're usually bigger but it is winter so I won't complain. The bar is always hit or miss hence the missing star and tonight it was a miss for me. I order the gone fishing fish bowl and asked for extra sour it was extremely flat and felt like it was missing something. They definitely didn't add the extra sour either. I gave the drink to my companion as not to waste but it wasn't worth it. For my boil bar I had craw fish and green mussels in Gallic butter and Cajun hot with a side of rice and eggs. It was phenomenal per usual. Very consistent and delicious. The restaurant was great tonight. Friday. On the weekends it can get extremely loud when they are doing live music. We settled in on the small outdoor patio on a very fine spring evening for a meal that hit the spot each point along the line. Well... Maybe except for their chairs. These chairs were not the kind you would usually sit outside to eat in, more built for reclining with a drink in hand. It was not comfortable to sit forward and eat my meal. But man, was that meal ever delicious. Chips came out with three types of salsa, and we ordered the guacamole provincial to go with them as well. The chips on their own were decent, but each salsa had a unique flavor and amount of heat that kept things interesting. The guacamole was chunky and full of flavor, with a good enough portion for the four of us. When the meal came, it was clear I had won dinner. I got the "Mezcali's Best" which honestly, I think it was their best effort. Grilled steak, chicken, shrimp, onions, peppers, and zucchini in a chipotle queso sauce. Man. THAT SAUCE. That sauce just simply made the whole thing incredible. To the point when I cleared my plate, my wife had me scrape the sauce onto what was left of hers. In addition, the refried beans had an excellent flavor, I am not usually big on the beans... but this one had me wanting more. Chips used to scoop up some beans, rice, and sauce... were so so good. I would definitely come back here, probably sit inside, and order the Mezcali's best (or anything I can get that chipotle queso sauce on) again.

The margaritas are massive as well. They also offer a lunch menu with quite a few options at a lower price, which is always appreciated. Chips and salsa are complimentary, with three different salsas to choose from: mild, verde, and spicy. All three had great flavor. The chips themselves weren't quite as fresh as I'd like and didn't come out hot or warmed. My server saw how much I loved the salsas and kept refilling. She was awesome! For this weekday lunch, I went with the Burrito Vallarta with chicken. Rice, beans, avocado, and a tasty hot sauce inside, with sour cream, pico de gallo, and lettuce on the side. Everything tasted fresh and the burrito as a whole was juicy and flavorful. The chicken was shredded and just a bit tough. I personally prefer freshly grilled chunks or strips, but it was still good overall. All in all, this is a nice addition to the shopping center and a solid option for Mexican food in the area.

I'm so thankful I thought of it last minute, after leaving the gym!! I called to see if they could accommodate two in an hour & a half. Todd politely answered the phone and said he could make that work. We arrived right at 6:30 and Todd, who also happened to be the host for the evening, gave us our choice of two tables. The atmosphere is busy, lots of people chatting, but you're still pretty much able to hold your own conversations. Jake was our delightful British (I think) waiter. He brought us our beverages and described what had to be 5-6 specials for the evening. Everything sounded delightful, but I've been wanting that fried flounder since day one!
