Once Vineuve started work we realized right away that we were going to enjoy the project. The teams were great communicators, very skilled tradespeople, and very pleasant to have around. They gave us full real-time access to the back end of the billing and procurement process for tracking costs and delivered a high-quality end product without any issues. I would strongly recommend Vineuve to anyone looking for a high-profile general contractor.

Experience with Amro Construction…read more We contracted Amro Construction late in July about our need for some structural upgrades to the main entrance deckway and complete renovations of the two main floor bathrooms. We received their proposal in mid-August and after clarifying some details, work began two weeks later. Amro did a very solid job of scheduling the various outside resources they needed to use. The support trades they enlisted: vinyl decking installer, tile installer, electricians, painters, insulators and plumbers displayed the same work ethic and service orientation that the business partners do. Amro also recommended to us a number of suppliers: cabinet makers, flooring and tile suppliers that they had worked with successfully in the recent past and then looked after ordering and coordination of deliveries. The dedication, attention to detail and follow-up by the lead hand they assigned to our job was critical to Amro successfully delivering the kind of results they offered and we needed. The final phase of the work to be completed, the main ensuite bathroom, was available for use on November 11, ten weeks after work began. When Amro's final invoice arrived four weeks after job completion, there were no surprises. The invoice detailed the several scope adjustments that had been encountered, discussed and authorized in advance. Nothing was billed that we had not previously agreed to. We found the Amro team extremely service-oriented and personable, very diligent in follow-up exhibiting a very high work ethic. We had a general vision of how we wanted the bathrooms to look after renovation but not hard details. Amro's team, with their extensive experience, was able to suggest alternatives for our consideration and then we decided which way to proceed. We are very pleased with the outcome. Even though the plumber was wrong and the second visit ended up being unnecessary, they insisted we had to pay $337 for the visit. Part of this charge was for a a helper who was getting on-the-job training. After questioning this invoice, we were told the charges were valid, but they removed the charge for the trainee. They said the remaining $218 would stand. We paid, but noted that we still disagreed and would leave a review as such. At this point the owner started emailing us about how "they are not God" and that any experienced plumber could make the same mistake. Sure, we all make mistakes, but it's not normal to make your customer pay for them. They offered us a refund of $42 if we agreed to remove the reviews. We didn't accept that offer as we'd rather let other potential customers know about our experience.

Mike and his team - Vlad, Ivan, and Alex - deserve every high mark for their attention to detail, work ethic, and craftsmanship. We cannot recommend them enough. We hired Victoria Pro Siding to replace the cedar shingles on our 1912 house with Hardie shingle. Maintaining the historic look of the house was important to us and Mike was willing and able to make that happen, going to lengths that other siding companies were hesitant about. He was very communicative and carefully planned how his team would implement our requests. His team members, Vlad, Ivan, and Alex, were fast, efficient, friendly, and diligent workers; we were impressed with their dedication to the project. Mike continued to consult with us for the duration of the job - providing updates, asking for input on aesthetic decisions, and alerting us to any structural issues found as the original siding was removed (he was also very accommodating, and worked around required repairs). His price was very competitive, but the quality of the work far exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend Victoria Pro Siding based on our experience and interactions with Mike's whole team.
