Extremely disappointed in Groupon & Harmony Spa! Groupon offered their 60 minute couple massage for $129.00. Upon multiple attempts to order said massage through Groupon I was unsuccessful & contacted Harmony Spa directly. I was provided a time slot that worked well for both myself & my cousin. I was asked by Harmony Spa if this was my first time at their business & I advised this would be my 2nd time receiving services & the first time for my cousin. I was then told that the spa would not honor the Groupon & that we would need to pay the regular amount which is $159.00. So if I actually paid through Groupon which was my intention, I would've been out of $129.00 while I awaited a refund from them? The spa employee was unwilling to provide an alternative & is willing to lose future business & the business of anyone that I know. The spa employee stated that they've been working with Groupon for months to rectify the fine print to include their conditions. Absolutely disappointed Update - 8/6/19 8:11pm I've been in communication with Harmony Spa and they're willing to rectify the issue. Thank you Kathy for reaching out to me. Well, when I called and scheduled the appointment I specifically stated that the couples massage I was booking was a surprise for my partner. The lady on the phone said she marked it down. She was nice. The atmosphere was fine. When we got there we were given the patient forms that I had already filled out online. I had to give them back and explain I already filled them out. It only takes a few seconds to check. Now, the woman that was massaging me seemed like she had no idea what she was doing. I asked her THREE separate times to please lighten the pressure. She would lighten the pressure for about 20 seconds then go back to her unusual techniques. I asked her to please stop massaging an area and she continued. 've had swedish massages before, and I feel so terrible that my partners first was like this. When we arrived at the counter to pay the lady stated nice and loud just how much I was spending for my partners birthday. That was absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable. Why wouldn't they just charge the card on file? The card that I plugged into your link and had to type in all the information for! The experience I had was lovely, the woman was very nice and did a good job. However, I made an appointment for a microdermabrasion and received a peel instead. Which was nice and well done, just not sure why. I also unintentionally added some additional peel that ended up about doubling the cost. I would not have gotten it if I knew it costed extra, especially not that much more ($45). I spent about 100 on a 45 minute peel instead of an hour microdermabrasion. Very confused how that happened, but again, the peel was nice. Just not what I thought I was getting. read more

Only giving one star because I have to. I looked up this salon online since I'm from out of town. I had a Brazilian wax done by Kathy, the manager/owner of the salon and it was easily the worst experience of my life and the worst $70 I ever spent. I'm a licensed cosmetologist myself. So I am very aware of State sanitary requirements and let me just tell you, they could easily get written up for violating some basic sanitary codes. As for the service, it was as if I was a model at a cosmetology school, you would have thought this was Kathy's first wax she had ever given. I've been having Brazilian waxes done for years, from several different establishments and never had an issue and mind you they don't cost anywhere near the expensive $60 price tag Harmony charges. I had to lay on a REUSABLE mat that only God knows if it was clean, but it did have wax on it from others. Normally people use throw away paper to cover their waxing tables. The brazilian wax was painful, although I didn't complain there and should have, and I was extremely sore the next day. Kathy went over several of the same areas (which you're not supposed to do) and couldn't remove the hair quickly or efficiently. In addition there was so much hair left, I called for a refund being that any other place I went would charge me full price to correct her mistakes. I called and left a message and no one responded. So I continued to call. By the time someone answered I had returned back to my home state and just requested a refund, although initially I was willing to come back in and have a different waxed fix Kathy's errors. I have texts saying that the check would be mailed out August 17th. And the check was never mailed. On August 29th they said they had never mailed the check and that checks are sent out monthly and would be mailed out Thursday. It's now September 11th and I had yet to see any mail. I tried multiple times to talk to Kathy one on one, and you would think as the person who gave the service and the manager/owner she would take responsibility and speak to me, instead she has chosen to go through others and lie about when and if I'll ever see a refund. I've never received a phone call from her to this day, only from her staff. As a business owner in the beauty industry myself, you take accountability for YOUR salon and you speak to your customers whether they're happy or upset, you don't go hide in a corner never to be heard from. Kathy's tactics are extremely unprofessional. If you're not going to refund, just say so. Lying on top of the unprofessional service is not a good look. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. There are better places with better waxers, in a more clean environment, for a cheaper price elsewhere. read more

After traveling over an hour and leaving work early to find that my appt was never scheduled, the owner refused to speak to me stating I had to wait an hour for a return call. She informed her employee that she did not have a speaker phone! Then she had the nerve to text me that she couldn't talk to me until Tues, rudely accused me of mistreating her staff and used profanity .. I would like to start this review by saying that this business is by far the best in the area. I discovered Harmony Spa thru Groupon many years ago and at an amazing Groupon price however "let's get real people" businesses would not be in business if the discounts were offered on a regular basis...not to mention keeping up with inflation as many businesses have suffered.So if you are posting negative feedback because some prices went up "shame on you"...do you Yelp about gas prices or food price increases??? I guess u can but who's listening? My wife and I received a couples massage together. The staff was very friendly and very courteous and the heated beds made it even more amazing. I had a medium/ deep tissue massage and my wife got the medium. It was a very refreshing massage and they made extra effort in our problem areas that we told them about. Had no idea this hidden gem existed, so I'm glad they had a Groupon that my fiancé purchased for us to have a couple's massage. Just finished our 60-minute massage and it was incredible! Vernita was my massage therapist and she really paid attention to exactly what I needed. I prefer a deeper tissue massage and she applied the perfect amount of pressure. I walked out without any pain! Zainab was my fiancé's massage therapist and he said that she found all the problem areas and knots in his back and worked them out. I was introduced to this spa from a special on Groupon. It was in a convenient location for a last minute get away. I scheduled a facial and was offered a discount on a 60 min massage. It's a small location, but was able to provide a zen environment. My facial was excellent! I upgraded with a glycolic peel and my skin was glowing. The next day I saw my hair stylist and she mentioned how fresh and dewy my skin looked. Great spa! read more

Omg this was the worse experience of my LIFE! The receptionist had absolutely no customer service skills. I was walked backed to the room, to undress and get under the warm covers. To my damn surprise the massage therapist was going on her smoke break. She came back smelling like cigarettes. As she worked on my body she made so much noise! The sounds of the sink/ water as she rinsed the stone was so loud it was unbearable, she opened so many cabinets and that sound was loud too. It was the most uncomfortable experience I've ever had. Horrible customer service...I had purchased a Groupon and the only restriction mentioned was for new customers only, which I would have been. I called to schedule an appointment and was told I can only schedule for M,T, or W and next available was June 1...seriously!!??? I can understand that if you have no availibities, that would be great for them BUT to limit someone to certain days when I is NOT mentioned even in the fine print is HORRIBLE customer service and a way to lose potential long time customers...my cousin referred me to them as she has a membership, which I was going to get as well had I enjoyed the massage but that will never happen...poor service read more

Sent my mom and Aunt as a gift to this spa. Set up an appointment and a few days later they cancelled because a therapist called out. Than called a few days later saying they got 2 more therapist on the schedule. My mom and Aunt went but felt the experience was ok. They did not really like the massage. Mom liked the scrub. I have always wanted a couples spa experience and I was able to make an appointment within a few days. The facility is VERY clean and the snacks are plentiful! The massage was good, but my massage therapist kept having to make adjustments to the table. The sound was annoying at times and my partner noticed it too. I usually prefer a soft melody for music instead of the chirping birds. Despite it all, I felt like a new person afterwards!! I've have been to Harmony twice now and had Yolanda for massage and Kathy for a facial both times. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. They do offer add-ons but I have never felt pressured to add something. Yolanda is great and very attentive! Kathy's facials are amazing and honestly the best I've ever experienced. I choose to do the monthly membership after my first visit because of her facial. I think their prices are very reasonable for the services they provide and the products they use for the facials. Quite the hidden gem . You wouldn't imagine this place could be here tucked into a back building above a dental spa but as soon as you walk in you enter an oasis of relaxation . I had been here a few times before (had a massage , scrub , Brazilian wax and eye lash tinting) over the years but it is my most recent experience that really prompted me to write this review . I was planning a girls day for a friends bachelorette . I put feelers out to a few places . The new owner Kathy responded almost immediately - with a few packages for us to chose from also asking if we needed any further accommodations . Our group of girls went with a 45 min massage and a 45 facial . WOW Kathy , Kathy , Cheryl and Karen all did a wonderful job . The whole experience was great . They gave our group down time to relax and hang out between services . The food far exceeded my expectations !
