Then I asked for a larger robe as the one they have, most spas have don't fit my tits. She said sure let me go check the mens sizes. WTF? Who says that to a female customer? Then she says just come in the facial room because your facial has already started. Just put this on, again one size fits all didn't fit around my toys, and actually popped open while we were in session. Then she rushed me through the session, didn't tell me a single product she was using the entire time. Then I was literally rushed into my massage, which was good. However she never even introduced herself. There wasn't time. Then when the massage was over you know how they're usually like ok, get up take your time. This lady laid my robe over my stomach and said get up slowly but your massage is over. Rushing me out. I've never had such bad experiences at Sawa. I've been going there off and on for 10 years. It's definitely changed since Covid. After your treatment they would walk you to a sitting area, remind you there's a hot tub to us, ask what kind of drink you want and bring you a plate of fruit and snacks. There was also granola and like chocolate covered raisin or something on the bar area where you could grab a little snack. Not anymore. They were clearly understaffed as well. I had mentioned on my check-in sheet a few "problem areas" as it was one of the questions on the sheet and the masseuse told me that would mainly be focused with a deep tissue massage but she could apply a bit more pressure during my session. The building is cute, a little cottage-look and the interior is very calming and beautiful (I even liked their bathroom decor!). The massage "rooms" are only separated by a curtain so if someone else is on the other side, you can hear them. Though not loud or too disturbing, something to just be aware of. The consult is informative and the process itself was relaxing. It met all the expectations I had from seeing their IG posts. I love when that happens. Parking is tricky. They're located off 11th but I recommend turning into the one way street from 10th instead. And although their location is a few blocks away from downtown it's close enough to make it part of your downtown outing. Just make an appointment first.
