Luckily I did bring my yoga pants and they said it was fine for me to wear my own clothes in the meditation rooms. Normally I go to Olympus, but the last few times there it was so crowded and pretty dirty. Q is definitely a lot less crowded and much cleaner. Also, I went with a friend on a groupon which you should definitely check for as I have seen them offer these quite a bit. So process is -- you check in and they give you the "uniform" -- they only have up to size 2x and it is a small 2x IMO -- more like a 1x. It is a tshirt and shorts. They also give you your locker key. Q Spa is coED but they have separate bathrooms for men and women. They only thing coED is the meditation rooms, the common areas and the cafe. So, after paying and getting your uniform you proceed to your designated bathroom/changing room area. Your locker key has a number to show you which locker you are assigned to -- the spaces for the lockers are a little narrow, but not as much as Olympus. You can either change to your uniform or you can head straight to the pools. I like to do the mediation rooms before I get wet so after changing I headed back out to the common area. There is at least one meditation room on the ground floor but the majority of them are up stairs. I am not sure if there is an elevator for someone that is handicap? But they had a salt room, a chill room, a charcoal room and a sand room -- I love the meditation rooms. I guess the only weird thing is that there were men sitting in the common areas outside of the rooms just working on their laptops -- seems like a weird thing to do in a spa! So my friend and I spent about an hour and a half in the meditation rooms and then we were ready for the sauna, the steam room and the hot tubs! They have three different hot tubs of varying temps and a sauna and a steam room. In this gender segregated area, you remove your uniform -- so like Olympus you need to be comfortable in your own skin. It wasn't crowded at all (unlike olympus where you can be boob to boob with someone). My friend and I enjoyed this section of the spa -- it was very relaxing. We were starting to get hungry and noticed the cafe opens around 11am. So we got changed back to our uniforms and headed to the cafe. I love Korean food -- I can't recall what the dish was called but it was one of those stone bowl dishes where the food is still cooking in the very hot bowl. It wasn't quite as good as Olympus but it was still pretty yummy. Service was friendly and pretty quick too. I will definitely try Q Spa again.

I used to love coming here to relax and would visit once or twice a week when it was newer, but…read moreit's really sad that I can't do that anymore. The male visitors have turned this Korean spa into a bathhouse. You cant sit in the steam room, sauna, or hot tubs, and rest because the visitors are touching themselves and each other in there. I've tried to give it a few chances recently but this has happened the whole time during my last few visits. I thought maybe if I could visit on different times or days I could find a time to relax, but unfortunately it seems this goes on all day. There are a lot of signs saying there shouldnt be any sexual contact, but they don't seem to do anything. The only safe place for the men who want to relax is the coed saunas because you have to wear clothes and women share the area with men. As a Korean, I am just so disappointed that I can't use this Korean Spa for it's intended purposes. There are bathhouses in Seattle for these things, why can't these guys go there?

It was late and we were looking for a place that would be open late. My husband remembered that he tried a new place called My Spa and that it was a great massage. I walked in and noticed a clean well appointed space, not necessarily screaming luxury but very nice. I chose deep tissue and then my service began. Incredible is the only way to describe it. Deep tissue massages are not for the faint of heart . They are not for those looking to go to sleep during the massage. She was firm and targeted spending most time on the areas that needed it most. She started on my legs and feet and then worked her way up. I was most impressed with the owner's knowledge and experience. She is an expert in Chinese massage and understands and is trained on the benefits of Chinese medicine. As a result she understands the connection of massage and other areas of your body. This is different than other local massage places. This is a high quality massage that addresses your whole body. Suffice it to say, that I left feeling so much better than when I entered. I've already made an appointment to go back.

I met Desmond at Yuan Spa for the first time today, and I had such a great experience…read more Desmond is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain what might be causing my discomfort and how I can prevent it from happening again. I really appreciated all of his advice. His massage technique was excellent. He focused on exactly the areas that needed attention, and I left feeling so much more relaxed. It truly felt like he understood my concerns and knew how to address them. On top of that, Desmond is such a sweet and caring person. He made me feel comfortable throughout the entire session and genuinely wanted to help. I highly recommend Desmond to anyone looking for an outstanding massage therapist. I'll definitely be booking with him again!

Easily accessible, few blocks away from Bellevue Square and even walkable from the new 2 line link. Parking is available in their small garage but only for 3 hours (validated online with a code Yuan Spa provides). Otherwise there's street parking. Arriving early is a plus to use the washroom or relax in their lounge area with snacks (wasabi peas, banana chips, and honey pretzel sticks) and hot tea. Shoutout to Jessica and Emma for our massages. They were extremely comforting and the hour flew by insanely quick. Hydrotherapy is self guided between a hot pool, cool pool, steam room, and dry sauna. All are soothing but many gyms have these as well, so I'm torn whether it's worth it. However, definitely a nice supplement to other services here in the same location, which is a fair argument. One thing I hate is the check out process. After checking out, they'll ask if "you'd like to add a gratuity" which I always feel is just a darker practice in the social moment. A good massage deserves a tip for quality service, but hydrotherapy feels like an interesting gray area. However, it's easier to just give a percentage on the total amount. On the flip side, I love how they also provide up to 30 minutes buffer after hydrotherapy (maybe also other services, but we ended on hydro) to shower and leave. Passing that half hour mark would result in a charge rounded up to the next hour.
