I decided to call them a few years ago, and they've been my go-to HVAC guys ever since. The guys at ROX have helped us with furnace and A/C maintenance, and they recently installed a new water heater for us. They show up on-time, are fairly priced, and their technicians are cool, trustworthy guys. Scheduling is generally easier than with most HVAC companies too. They come in, do their thing, have you check out what they did, and they're on their way. It's how something like this should go. Royal comfort installed a new HVAC system in our new home. The air conditioning has not worked…read moresince inception. We only discovered this with with the increase in temps now in Summer. More concerning is that when we call them out to address their brand new system where cooling is totally ineffective, especially with the very hot weather, they have been slow to respond, citing different reasons why they can't respond. In the meantime it is very difficult to sleep when it is 83 degrees in the home. Not a happy customer. Update. Subsequent to my post, Royal comfort have worked hard to resolve this. It was established that it was in fact an issue with the home automation system that a company called Quality Audio video installed. I definitely would not recommend using QAV. They are dishonest and are quick to point the problems at other contractors rather than finding ways to resolve.

Did Lakewood Electric have a secret alter ego? Regardless of the vehicular identity crisis, out stepped Jared. He assessed the collateral damage with lightning speed and gave it to me straight: getting those RAB Bell flood lights and Mighty Posts back in working order would require a four-hour surgical repair. He also gave me the estimate. Let's just say the cost was... dear. As in, "I might need to sit down and evaluate my life choices" dear. However, you get what you pay for, and Jared was worth it. We scheduled the repair, and he showed up exactly on the dot--a rare and beautiful miracle in the home service industry. He tackled the job with absolute efficiency and effectiveness. The lights are shining brightly once again, and the front yard looks fantastic. The Verdict: Would I use Jared and his mysteriously branded van again? Absolutely. I also want to mention, we first used Mr Electric of Littleton (Yosemite location) 3 years ago, and they've been the only people we've used for our electrical work every since. There has been zero drop in quality of people, or work. We had a European light fixture we had to install, and as I learned they do not install the same in the US. Thankfully, Robert is from Poland so he knew exactly what that difference was! With some quick thinking, he found a very good solution to hang it. It wasn't the "intended" way to hang it, but after explaining to me (in detail) he made sure we were both in agreement that it was a good solution. I'm very impressed with how he managed to resolve this. Without him, I would've had to have somebody come in and replace the entire bracket. The fixture was very delicate, and he treated it as such. He even asked me for a soft pad to place pieces on as he worked. He was extraordinarily friendly, honestly it was like having a (electrician) neighbor come over. I just can't recommend him enough.

I called the company who serviced our furnace just days ago assuming they had 24 hour emergency service only to find out they didn't and was told that someone would call me in the morning when they opened. Well we couldn't wait until the next morning as it was already 8:30 pm and it was getting colder and colder inside the house and outside. My daughter recommended Zach Bryant owner of Alliance Air Solutions and without hesitation he was at our home within the hour....9:30 pm to be exact. He performed his diagnostic and repair and had us up and running by 10pm. We were so THANKFUL! He told us exactly what needed to be repaired (need a new blower motor) and costed out the repair which was $200 "less" than what the other company estimated. We had them come out last week to install two ceiling fixtures and run electrical to both. We were quoted 2 hours and notified that their pricing had increased to a $250 flat fee for the first hour (previously $160), then $160 per hour thereafter. Pricier than before, but we decided to move forward since we were told it should only take two hours. It ended up taking 3 hours and 15 minutes, and we were charged a full 4 hours. When we got our bill, it was much higher than expected and lacked a cost breakdown, so we called to clarify. It was then that we learned the price per hour after the first hour was actually $195, and we didn't have anything in writing for the original quote, so we couldn't push back. Our bill was adjusted down by about $200 due to administrative errors, but overall we spent twice as much as we expected to pay. I understand that prices increase, especially in today's economy, but between such a price jump ($125 more in just the first two hours of service) and being misquoted for how long it would take, we unfortunately will not be moving forward with Flowers Electric.
