Apple Remodeling

We did around a 250k remodel with Apple Remodeling, so we basically tested everything that they…read morewere made of. To sum it up, right off the bat, Apple Remodeling is a finely tuned machine. I was absolutely amazed at how precisely everything was coordinated and how the actual work was so well done. To really top it off, however, Ted (Owner) is so easy to work with and communicates everything so clearly and HONESTLY. If some changes are made during the project, he makes sure to credit you for even the littlest things, but, at the same time, he doesn't nickel and dime you. On that note, most contractors charge a percentage fee for change orders. Apple Remodeling DOES NOT charge a fee. You are just billed for the work/material. That is a huge plus, in my opinion, because throughout a project you are certainly going to think of things to change/add. That really helps keep the nerves at ease when you're going through such a massive project. Not only was Ted great, his crew was amazing as well. They are all so polite and considerate. I'd probably trust these guys to baby sit my kid. Further, they clean up at the end of every day. We've even had comments from friends/family on how clean the worksite is. These are exactly the type of people you want working on your house--people you can trust. Most of this review hasn't even focused on the quality of work done, which, by the way, is excellent; however, let's be honest, when you're basically having surgery done on your house, you want to be at ease through the ENTIRE project--not just at the end. Going into the remodel, I was not expecting it to go so smoothly--after all, it was a massive remodel. The potential for things to go wrong is there, but it was not the case with Apple Remodeling. I really think that Apple Remodeling is a gem in this business and a step above everyone else. You just don't get the level of service that Apple Remodeling provides from just about any business these days and that is why I am so happy that we found them.

They weren't the cheapest, but we were looking for quality and flexibility. Apple provided all of that, and more. Like any job, there were "changes" that came up, and Ted dealt with our designer in a professional and cost effective manner. He team always showed up on time, and stayed late. I'm pretty familiar with construction, and the work they did was top notch. We could not be more pleased with the final results!

Colorado Basement Company

While it's possible for a homeowner to manage their own basement project from start to finish, I…read morecertainly wouldn't recommend it. Keeping on top of schedules, permits, contractors, inspections, and so much more is not appealing. We made the decision to find a full-service contractor that would take care of it all and listen to what we wanted and how we planned to use the space. We screened dozens of contractors online through reviews and ratings, and then narrowed the field to the top five. From there we arranged for in person walkthrough's focusing on communication, licensing & insurance, and references for previous work and whether we could contact them. We selected Dave Kemman and the Colorado Basement Company and are so glad we did. A basement finish or any home renovation during the pandemic could have been a very stressful process and they made it relatively painless. It started with their initial visit where Dave put our mind at ease with his active listening and down to earth approach, steering clear of construction jargon and providing a clear explanation. Shortly after the walkthrough, we had a video conference with CBC's designer, Sierra, who came up with several floor plan options (like the Property Brothers) going over the pros and cons of each. Once we made up our mind, CBC took us through the contract process, the standards and options cost list, billing, project schedule, permits, and inspections. Once we signed on the dotted line, the basement finishing project kicked into high gear. Before each phase, Dave & team made us aware of the work that would be completed and whether we had a decision to make, whether we go with the standards (a very big list) or choose to upgrade or want to change the placement of something...you get the picture. What we appreciated the most was that the basement finishing process (end to end) was important to them and that the finished product met (exceeded) our expectations. High marks in both regards.
