When it came time for me to give birth, she was completely rude to hospital staff, acting like she knew more than they. She was VERY combative & disrespectful to nurses & doctors. She was pushing labor induction methods that were opposite recommendations made by hospital staff, then aggressively arguing with the hospital staff & talking over them. When my husband or I would try to ask the doctors or nurses questions, she interrupted them so we couldn't hear what they had to say. I can't recommend against her services enough. If she is recommended to you, RUN!

Kristin has such a grounding and inviting vibe and energy that felt comforting and supportive right from the start. You know how some providers/professionals will say they're supportive of your choices but you can tell they are actually judging you? Kristin is the complete opposite! She was down for and excited about any decision that I felt was right for me, my baby, and our birth - which didn't just communicate support but also made me feel empowered and centered in my own choices. My fiancé was pretty skeptical about hiring a doula - his family and friends had all had kids and no one had "needed" a doula - but he ended up SO thankful and grateful that Kristin was by our side. He can't stop singing her praises to anyone who will listen! Kristin was/is so knowledgeable and informative. Anytime there was a turn in the road, we immediately looked to her. She would provide some small education and then give her perspective, ultimately reassuring us that we were in control of what decision we ended up making and what felt most right for us and our birth. She stayed by our side the whole time - I truly don't know what we would have done without her! She took some photos, kept track of timelines, and helped make sure baby latched for the first time. Even postpartum she has been such a life saver. We're able to text her our freak out questions and she responds with the same attentiveness and care as she did before and during birth. Kristin knows exactly what you need because she actually LISTENS to you and truly respects your preferences. She empowered me and knew what to do when I was in labor. For example, she came prepped with a hot pack and she pushed it against my back when I was having hard contractions (which helped so much) without me having to ask or say anything. She just knew it would feel better. Kristin supported me getting an epidural and never judged or pushed any beliefs on me. She checked in on me throughout my pregnancy but was never bothersome and took away my anxiety rather than added to it. Kristin gave me reassurance when I was overdue and sure enough my baby came out four days late with not even 20 mins of pushing. It was amazing! She is professional, knowledgeable and kind- the perfect combination for a doula. I cannot recommend Kristin enough!

Je'Nelle has more wisdom in the field of childbirth than anyone (from MDs to other midwives and doulas) that I have ever met. She has access to the best practitioners (nutritionists, chiropractors, at home ultrasounds, etc.) and provides personalized care to each mama. She has incredible intuition and always knows exactly what to do. She has a close relationship with God, and the space around her vibrates at a high level of love. She creates a safe and sacred space. If you are concerned with having a birth away from a hospital, just know that Je'Nelle is a skilled medical professional with a background in nursing and has all the medical tech you and your baby might need with the exception of the epidural and C-section (obviously). I felt very confident that she would know when to send me to a hospital if the occasion called. Also, the birthing pool is underrated in how much it helps with pain management. It makes contractions totally doable! Home births are so awesome! You have your baby and can just go sleep in your bed afterwards. Highly recommend!!!
