She is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and made me feel completely comfortable. She was able to answer so many questions I've had about my body and pelvic health, and I learned so much during my appointment. Having the opportunity to work with a midwife and receive that kind of education and guidance was something I didn't realize how much I needed. The massage itself was truly one of the best I've ever had. I felt relaxed, cared for, and noticeably better when I left. I decided to go the home birth route with my second pregnancy and choosing to go with Heather did not disappoint! She was referred to me from a friend, yet I still did my own research and interviewed a few other midwives before committing and I felt like she was the best fit. Each prenatal visit was at least an hour long - she gave me time to ask my questions and never made me feel silly or brushed me off. Having no previous exposure to a home birth, I had a lot of questions yet she answered them all gracefully and in great detail - giving my the confidence I needed to believe in myself that I could do this and that it is safe. Also included in the package was a prenatal massage around 36 weeks and when I tell you it was the best massage in my life - you have to believe me! It was amazing! That hour flew by and I was ready to book another one When I went into labor, I waited until almost the last minute to tell anyone, just to be sure it was the real thing. Well, it was the real thing and it was go time by the time my husband got home from work and Heather arrived. But she didn't waste any time, she jumped in and gave me the encouragement and reassurance I needed to get through transition and birth my baby girl. She was so amazing and was not afraid to get her hands dirty. My 3 year old was there and Heather included her in everything and never pushed her out of the way. Even though I was almost pushing as she walked through the door, she still handled everything with such a calmness and peacefulness that it made that crazy intense last part of birth go so perfectly. If I decide to have baby number 3, a home birth will definitely be my preferred route and Heather would be at the top of my list of midwives (but I would give a longer heads up next time ). read more

I had the honor of having Heather as my primary provider and midwife for my first baby (and only so far). I am very particular about who I have in my home and who I have in my space (especially during birth). I wanted someone who brought a calmness and sense of love to my birth experience. Heather was PERFECT. Heather was so informative and knowledgeable about every part of my pregnancy throughout the birthing of my son. She helped me make great nutritional choices and gave me a holistic, educated approach to maintain a healthy pregnancy and getting to my end goal of a dream home birth. She taught me ways to change my diet to avoid becoming preeclamptic and avoiding gestational diabetes and balancing my diet to avoid blood sugar spikes. She spoke to my son at each of our appointments throughout the pregnancy so he was just as comfortable as I was when he came earthside. When it came to the delivery itself I was having a longer than anticipated labor and Heather kept in contact from the moment the contractions started the night prior then her team stayed with me from 2am on once she knew the time was approaching. My husband being a paramedic was initially hesitant about a home birth but was eased at her knowledge and the medical access that she has that even he doesn't have access to as a paramedic. Our 9 pound baby was born at 7:45pm and Heather monitored us both and was encouraging and knowledgeable about helping me know what to do and encouraged my movements along the way. She helped show my husband ways to ease discomfort throughout birth and brought a sense of security with her the entire time. My son had taken in some meconium during his arrival and Heather handled the urgency with such calmness and grace that It washed over me as well. My husband was concerned about his son taking a moment to breathe right away but her and her team do what they do best, calming my husband down and reassuring him that he was healthy and in good hands with good stats , all while I was joyfully meeting my son. It was the most beautiful experience of my life and something I will forever be grateful for. I will definitely be using her services throughout my future births, our family is safe in her hands. She's a phenomenal masseuse as well, I had pre and post messages with her and she helped ease some pregnancy discomfort! My son even came to one with me and she taught him (and I) that he can stick out his tongue! We love Heather! read more

Heather is an outstanding midwife (and massage therapist!) As a first-time mom, I had no idea what to expect throughout pregnancy and labor - Heather helped me feel confident and capable from day 1. It was very important to me to have a home birth with no medical interventions, and Heather was respectful and supportive of all my decisions and preferences. Due to wildfires, we had to evacuate around my due date. Heather was communicative and accommodating and we had a plan in place should baby come. I'm very grateful we were able to make it home anyway and have baby safely in our house. Prenatal visits were fun and informative and I felt very safe in Heather's hands. During labor, Heather was a rock star. She made ME feel like a rock star! Even though she has many clients, I felt very special under her care. I have tried several other places around Redlands, but always left feeling dissatisfied for having paid more for being rubbed less. They seemed to shy away from "pressure" because they were scared of activating labor or something. This is NOT the case with Heather. She is extremely knowledgeable about how to give a proper prenatal massage without sacrificing your desired pressure. I see her every two or agree weeks (and have been for almost a year) to stay healthy.
