Honest and upfront. Both qualities hard to find nowadays. Would recommend them for your needs large or small.

Two people showed up for the estimate and took up 2hrs of my time, would have taken more if I hadn't have stopped them. They showed up unprepared, no ladder in hand. Asked if there was one in the house they could use. The person providing the quote was very early to share they were a window guy and not a roof guy. We were given a quote on chicken scratch paper for 67k with an aggressive 18 year old asking us what our credit score was for financing. There was no follow up after the estimate and we never received a formal, professional quote by email. Thanks for nothing.

He was trying to push window upgrade even though I called for a siding quote. He asked to use my bathroom and asked about my husband more times than inquiring about my house. I explained he was in the house working. He's extremely busy and handle first quotes. He said he wanted to show me the material so I asked to see it but he said he didn't have anything with him. He wanted to schedule a follow-up in person meeting. I told him I'm 8 months pregnant and have a 14 month old daughter. Scheduling a second in person meeting because he forgot to bring his supplies is outrageous. I offer to do a zoom meeting to review anything he wants to discussed but he disregarded my offer. He wanted to come back and sit in my kitchen. This process is difficult enough. I don't need sales reps forcing their process on me. I'd like a quote but if they can't be flexible and accommodating, it's not the company for me.

Da Bella Sales reps came to my 93-year-old Korean War veteran fathers' home for quote on roof replacement. they invoiced him over $32,000. and got a check for $7,000 down payment. Fortunately, i found out 2nd day of 3-day cancellation period in contract and cancelled. Sales reps showed up at house after cancellation to inquire why. They were rude, telling me as far as they were concerned, I did not exist. They had a signature on a iPad device which was clearly not his signature. I kicked them out of the house. All the way out to the street they continued to tell me i had no authority and I did not exist as far as they were concerned. Incredibly rude. Like i would let the job proceed after this????? Apparently, this is a new business model that some roofers are adopting. Da Bella is a sales company that acquires contracts and then subcontracts with local roofers for the work and then the homeowner cannot rectify any problems later on. This has all been documented in other reviews. I even contacted the Dept of Revenue about a business license and was told that no license existed in the Da Bella name. The DOR also emphatically recommended that I stop payment on the check IMMEDIATELY. I did. I hired a local Roofer called Valiant Roofing at a cost of $13,000 to re-roof dads ranch style house. How is DaBella allowed to do business like this?????

Castro from Soto & Brothers did his bit and came in with a quote thousands less than the others. Based on multiple reviews of this company, that is their modus operandi, along with high-quality work and using the same high-quality materials as the others, so I chose them. In the end, it took 2 days with a crew of not less than 6, and as many as 10 workers (plus crew boss) busting tail on my modest roof project. I watched the whole thing unfold. Everyone on the crew was friendly, happy and put out 110% effort. The entire process was efficient with suppliers coming in as scheduled with the necessary materials. They brought their own porta-potty. The problems they encountered were minor and fixed quickly, happily and without excuses. Most importantly, they charged me what was promised on the estimate. They did an excellent job, used quality materials as promised, and it was a completely no-BS, no-excuses process. I did a personal inspection...the roof looks great! The skylights were replaced with Vellux products that included remote-controlled shades, the clean-up was complete and if more contractors did business the way Soto & Brothers operate, there would be a lot less hesitation in wondering what we will be getting for our money. Two thumbs up!

We especially liked that they could do the work in 2-3 days. Took that long because of wall and archway removals and having to move a floor joist in the shower to accommodate the floor drain. I was a little hesitant due to issues with other remodel contractors in the past but decided to go ahead. The were excellent throughout the process, from measurement, material choices, scheduling, installation and cleanup. Matt and his crew were neat, respectful and kept us informed of the process throughout the 2.5 days required. They were very careful and immediately had the sheetrock repairman out to fix and touch up a wall that got slightly dinged. They even bought a gallon of paint to match the wall and left it for us. When they encountered a difficult ceiling repair issue due to the archway removal they offered and installed a ceiling panel that covers the entire shower area at no charge to us. Our shower is now larger, easy to maintain and we have a low step in, grab bars and a great 2-part shower head and sprayer handle with a hose. Overall if you are willing to spend the extra to have a great shower that will last a long time go with Renuity. Worth the investment.

When I requested a rebate for the value of my time (3 extra days of sitting around my house, either waiting for them to show up or being here while they were working), they refused to give me any credit. They offered me a gift basket, which mostly consisted of crummy items from Kohler that they probably got for free from the company. If I could give a 1/2 credit, I would add it for their installers, who were great, but their management team was worthless. Once they had their money they didn't give a damn.

When it came time to install, the installers were generally nice, did a good job cleaning up after themselves and the exterior work was done reasonably well. Things did not go quite so well inside. The windows themselves work fine and are an improvement over what we had previously, but our house was built in 1943 and the interior trim on all the windows and doors is mitered and a particular width. We had also previously tested other window and door frames with a 3M lead test and found that they potentially had lead paint underneath the top layer. The sales rep had assured us they would match the framing style and definitely do a lead test first. The installers did not seem to care about this because they did not test for lead and started right in. When they came to tell us they were finished and show us the final product, what we got was a giant blocky casing that did not in any way match what was in the house. For context, our framing is 3.5 inches in width on all windows and doors in the house. This new framing is 5.5 inches, adding an additional 2 inches all the way around and not mitered. Because the new trim is wider, it doesn't sit level with other framing in the house and it also means the headboard of our bed doesn't fit properly against the wall anymore either. Not to mention it just looks out of place. Additionally, some of the brad nails were also sticking out of the casing and they did not caulk beneath the bottom portion of the trim. I have included pictures for reference, including an example of the original style from one of our other windows we haven't had replaced yet. I understand that sometimes when you have work done on your house, you have to hire someone else to complete another portion or do it yourself (for example, an electrician is not going to repair your wall well or at all after they cut into it), but this feels pretty bad at ~$7K when you also have to do all the painting yourself. What's worse is now we're probably going to end up having to redo the interior casing trim ourselves too. Overall disappointed.
