We were quoted 10k dollars in LA and I just knew we needed a day to do some research and cannot believe I found Dr Woods! If we lived closer she would 1000% be our vet. Everyone we spoke to in the lobby felt the same way we did which was very comforting. Thank you to Devin, Morgan, Marley and Hannah you all were so loving, amazing and truly caring. Thank you all so much. Highly recommend Cardiff Animal Hospital.

They handled the situation with arrogance, no professionalism, and zero accountability. For a procedure with extractions, they would have charged me around $3,000. Please note that there is an exceptional service called Mexi Vet Express. They picked up my dog in San Diego, transported him to an awesome veterinary clinic in Tijuana, and returned him safely. For $785, he received X-rays, bloodwork, four extractions, take-home medication, a nail trim, and grooming. They communicate communicated four times via the phone and sent me photos throughout the eight hour process. They handled my dog so well, withzero attitude or arrogance, and genuine kindness and accountability--a stark contrast to my recent experience with Cardiff Animal Hospital.

But finding Emily of The Dog Listener has been one of the greatest blessings for me and my American Bully puppy. From the very first session, Emily brought a calm, confident energy that completely changed the way I relate to my dog. Through private lessons and her incredible monthly Pack Walks, she has helped my puppy grow into a balanced, well-behaved companion. Most importantly, she's helped me grow--into a more confident, peaceful, and capable handler. What truly sets Emily apart is her compassion. My dogs don't just tolerate her--they adore her. The excitement and joy they show when she arrives is real, and it speaks volumes about the kind of person and trainer she is. Her love for dogs is genuine, and they feel it. I get emotional thinking about where we started and how far we've come. Emily is a true godsend, and I can't recommend her enough to anyone looking for a kind, effective, and empowering trainer who truly understands dogs--and their people.

You choked my dog in front of 15 people in a day class that had a choker on, with a leash you leveraged over your shoulder while he was behind you. He was verbally coughing. I should have reported it to the police but i was in shock to the situation. People should be aware this happened. Do you really think i just woke up one day and created this specific situation because I was bored? I stand by my statements. Take me to court if you like l, Ill testify there under oath. No one touches my dog like that.

My dad was a chiropractor and sometimes helped animals so I knew the benefits for them. Right now Dr. Paul is at Sorrento Valley and Escondido locations. While a bit further than I would hope, the drive is totally worth it. My pets receive amazing care. Between the chiropractic treatment and the laser therapy, the targeted approach has made an obvious difference in my pets' quality of life. Dr. Paul is really nice and so good with the animals. He's really great and if you are even slightly considering chiropractic for your dog, you should give it a try, and specifically with Dr. Paul.

During our visit with Dr. Hackett, I felt like I was unnecessarily alarmed and pushed toward additional testing that turned out to be completely unnecessary. I brought in my two dogs, including my Border Collie, whose heart rate Dr. Hackett immediately treated as a serious concern. She made it sound like something could be very wrong and suggested multiple tests to rule out an emergency situation. My border collie also gets seizures which I told Dr. Hackett about and she told me she thought they are fainting spells due to his low heart rate, not seizures. Which I also got confirmations he definitely has seizures and nothing else like she suggested. After leaving very worried, I sought second opinions from other veterinarians. They all reassured me that my Border Collie's heart rate was completely normal for the breed and that they have seen even lower heart rates in athletic dogs like him despite his seizures. What was presented to me as potentially alarming was actually very typical. The same thing happened with my senior dog. Dr. Hackett told me her kidney and liver values were elevated and strongly pushed further testing, making it sound urgent. When I had another vet review the labs, they explained the values were only slightly elevated and extremely common in older dogs. They even told me she is far more likely to pass from old age before those numbers would ever reach liver failure levels. They also mentioned the slight elevation could simply be due to her high-protein diet. The experience left me feeling like fear was used to push unnecessary testing rather than providing balanced, knowledgeable guidance. It caused a lot of unnecessary stress and extra expense. Because of this, I would personally recommend seeking care elsewhere and getting a second opinion if you are ever told something is urgently wrong here.
