If anyone is looking for a home pest control service, I highly recommend Hargrove Pest Solutions based on the experience we've received. The name of our specialist was Mr. Stephen Greene with a date of service 08/04/2016. He arrived a little before his scheduled appointment exhibiting an extreme knowledge while presenting information and a demeanor in such a friendly, customer service oriented disposition. He was extremely conscientious of our home in that he had PPE which prevented his work shoes from coming in contact with the interior of home as well as his applicator(S) were bagged until use (YES, THERE WERE SEVERAL BASED ON OUR "ROOMIES") based on his inspection/our home's history which we "inherited" when we moved in this past February (from Houston, Texas). Remember the customer service of several decades past? That is exactly what we experienced. From initial appointment contact request, scheduling and afterwards every individual exhibited such compassion and a true love of their profession, services provided and love/respect for their customer. In fact, it was so much so that when I received a request for a customer survey (WHICH I NEVER BOTHER WITH) I felt compelled to provide feedback which is as per the following: "There are many details which go into setting Hargrove Pest Solutions above and apart from the rest. Knowledge, patience, and customer service are just a few. It may seem hokey when some mention customer service and the "hand-holding" the customer receives; however, when I say customer service, they were there for me as a point of contact after hours (way after-hours because our household is on a night shift/day sleeper schedule). Unbeknownst to us, the house was completely infested (for years) with roaches. Unfortunately, it couldn't be snakes or spiders which is something that would not produce severe anxiety or panic attacks. After treatment/as the roaches are responding to the treatment/seeking bait, it appeared that the home had come alive during which I experienced an extreme panic event. I sent a message/email for them to have at opening of business and was extremely surprised at their quick response. Their office staff/Kathy helped me through my panic episode answering questions, offering advice and explaining the entire process from application to eradication. They went above and beyond any customer service I have ever experienced." That said, yes they have a referral program; however, I am not interested in credit given for using my name. Actually, could not care less about that. I select our service providers based on reviews of current (and past) customers. If I have helped you in your selection/due diligence, I have succeeded. We have used Hargrove Pest Solutions since 2011. Before we purchased our home we had Mark Word from the Hargrove Home Inspection service inspect the property. He spent two and a half hours going over the property and my husband and I followed along and asked questions. Mark was knowledgeable and professional, so we chose to use Hargrove for annual termite inspections and treatment. The office staff is friendly and we appreciate the prompt email copies of all service and inspection reports. Technicians are on time and call to let us know exactly when they will arrive. After one termite inspection we were even given a complementary spray for bugs around the perimeter of the house. (It worked well and if we weren't on a budget we probably would have signed up for that service too.) This year we decided to have the yard treated for mosquitos and have currently enjoyed two weeks without seeing a single mosquito. We look forward to spending more time outdoors this summer and appreciate Hargrove's services in helping it be mosquito-free. read more

I really can't say that I was ever really "uhnappy" with my previous company, and certainly nothing I would have reason to call them and complain about.  After hiring Hargrove, I can tell you I don't think I knew what I was missing. It's the little things I noticed at first, like walking around on the concrete instead of through the grass, and wearing shoe coverings in the house.  I don't expect that at all, but I definitely notice it!  More than that, Ronnie knew his stuff!  Any time I hire someone to do something for me (i.e.-pest control), it's because I know that it's something I don't know enough about to do myself either effectively or safely.  That being said, it's so nice when the person who does come out makes you feel like they're the best fit for the job and I definitely felt this way immediately.  Ronnie was extremely friendly, super informative, and I definitely felt like he was very very thorough!  Looking forward to many great years as a Hargrove customer. read more

We have used Hargrove Pest Solutions for the last three years. Because of their wonderful service and knowledgeable technicians , we are able to enjoy our home and our beautiful yard , a specially in the summer. We have our yard sprayed for mosquitoes once a month and we are delighted with the fact that mosquitos are never a problem for us. I became especially aware of how fortunate we are in using Hargrove , when visiting a neighbor a couple of doors down from us one afternoon this week. The mosquitoes were attacking me viciously. I came home and told my husband that we are never letting Hargrove not service our yard. We also utilize their fire ant control and a home pest control. We have no problems with any issues. I need to find a pest service when I moved to Augusta and it's not something I had done before. I'm a renter and originally called the service that the owners of the house have termite monitoring through...their customer service left a lot to be desired. After looking at reviews in Yelp, I called Hargrove and was impressed. The ladies in the office were very friendly and walked me through the service options and what they treat for. When I needed to reschedule my appointment b/c of work, they made sure I got in as soon as they had an opening. The technician, Steven, showed up and put shoe covers on (something I had been battling w/other people over) and went through the house thoroughly and made sure he showed me a couple of areas that need to be sealed. Wonderful Experiences. After moving to Augusta, I had a lot of problems with pests. Having never used a pest service, this was a new experience for me. I had a lot of questions and they answered them all in a patient and friendly manner. I did have to call for a treatment between our scheduled treatments and they responded quickly and this was all I needed to really see a dramatic improvement. The extra treatment was "free" as a part of the service package. We probably won't need a between treatment visit again, but it was nice to have them come back and get the additional boost for a specific issue. I have added additional services with them because of these positive results. This is my first time ever using pest control, and Hargrove is great! The staff was friendly and courteous over the phone and got my appointment scheduled quickly. The technitian was very professional and courteous. He answered all of my questions , no matter how silly I thought they were and was very knowledgeable as well. He also wore shoe covers as he walked around the home which I thought was neat (most places may not even do this). I like the fact that the company communicated with me prior to my appointment through phone calls and email.I loved that fact that even though my appointment was for 4pm the technitian called and asked if it was fine if he came ahead of schedule which was great. We started using Hargrove Pest Solutions almost two months ago but with just one visit it was easy to see the terrific professionalism this company has. The technician, Stephen Greene, called ahead and showed up for the appointment early, which I appreciated, and he was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and very respectful. This is a great service-oriented company! The office staff are very conscientious about little things like reminding you when service will happen and ensuring you know about slight changes in the type of service that will be done throughout the changing seasons of the year. Everything was explained and with such pleasant young people that made you feel like a customer and not a money tree. When I discovered bats were living in the gable vent in our storage space over our garage, I called several Pest Control companies in Augusta for help. Hargrove Pest Solutions was the only company to return my call. We already use them for mosquito control and are extremely happy with their service. Adam Harrison was very knowledgeable about the removal of the bats without harming them in any way. He was extremely professional and did a terrific job of securing all other gable vents around the house so that when the bats left one place they wouldn't just find shelter in another spot at our home. I recently moved to the area and wanted my rental property sprayed as a precaution before I arrived. From the first contact made to Hargrove via phone to the results (no bugs when I moved in) I was more than pleased. This company not only allowed me to easily arrange service prior to moving to the area but also were nothing but personable and courteous throughout. Just had my first pest control service done with Hargrove and I can say that my experience was truly outstanding!!! Debbie was very friendly and very helpful when it came to making the appointment. Bruce, who was my technician, was very professional, knowledgeable, showed respect for my home and was very friendly. From him covering his shoes with the shoe covers to walking throughout my whole house and doing the inspection process to help me understand different little fixes I can do to help a small bug problem from becoming a huge problem. Bugs are a fact of life in the South. No matter how hygienic and sanitary you try to be, sooner or later you'll find some bugs in the house. Hargrove sent two techs who were well dressed, professional, respected my house and its contents and did good job of both interior and perimeter control. Safety and protocols were obviously followed. They showed obvious concern for my pets and reiterated to keep them away from the applied areas until the solutions had dried. I've seen no more bugs and this makes me quite happy. I've elected to go with quarterly service from Hargrove and given the amount of time the techs spent, I believe it to be a good value. read more

We switch our termite control from another local provider to Hargrove one year ago. We were attracted by their use of Sentricon, which seems to make more sense than just putting wood baits out and looking for trouble. We just had our first one-year inspection, and it was very professionally done. First of all, the inspector was here right on time, which is often not the case with service calls. He did a very thorough inspection throughout the home's interior and attic, even special sandals over his shoes so that he didn't bring dirt into the house. We couldn't be happier. read more

A note prior to writing this review: I was offered a small incentive for writing this review.. That being said. I have never had pest control service before so take this as you will. They came in and checked out the house prior to doing anything. The man then told me that he needed to spray and fix a couple pieces of baseboard and then lay a couple of traps. After he was done, he debriefed me on the situation and so far I have yet to see any signs of anything. I guess that is a good thing. It is a little pricey, but you pay for quality.
