Got my quarterly service. Very friendly and professional. Just on call and they come!read more

COPIED FROM MY FACEBOOK POST:…read more I am here to tell y'all DO NOT USE MOUNTAINEER PEST CONTROL. I have NEVER dealt with a company that (messed up) EVERY appointment. You sign into a contractual agreement, then they (mess) things up and you can't cancel. I've been sitting here for 40 minutes waiting for them to show up at 10:30 AM on the 10th of September only to call them and they try to tell me my appointment is on the 17th. Not only do I specifically remember the appointment day and time which I wrote down and recorded into my phone and placed on the calendar on my wall, how did I make an appointment for a day and time that I don't even know what my work schedule is? This (woman) tried to argue me down what day my appointment was. You don't incorrectly record the TENTH at TEN on a Friday that you go to work at 2 and wanted as early as possible. This is the THIRD time I called to ask where they were and the appointment IN THEIR BOOKS was the following week. *So Brandy in the office told my landlord that she was the owner and then later switched it up that she was the manager. Then, proceeds to tell my landlord that I'm a liar. That I made the appointment for the 17th and not the 10th. WHYYYYY would I lie about a pest control appointment??? She also would not give any information pertaining to the owner or management over her head.* They claim they send postcards when it's time for us as THE CUSTOMER to request inside service. Shouldn't you be calling me to set up an appointment to come inside and spray my home because why would I have pest control with a contract to pay if I'm not getting the full benefit?? Only one postcard has been received at my home since we started service maybe a year ago or a little more than a year ago. I guess I'm throwing the postcards away and lying about that too. After multiple attempts to speak with someone higher up and cursing them out on the phone, Courtney, who I made my initial appointment with calls me and apologizes and set up a new appointment which I wrote down as I was speaking to her and took a picture of. Thank you Courtney for being so kind as to realize a mistake was made and an apology and not a "No... YOU'RE wrong" which is what got me so angry in the first place. We switched from Borden because of the same reasons. ---swipes over to the Yelp app

I am writing this review because of the experience with this company. I thought that they would…read moretreat us well because of being used by the builders of our home. I am sharing this because of my disappointment. We were unlucky. At first we had the appointed employee come faithfully. We were happy for a while, however, we always saw various pests in between. My husband convinced me that you can't get them all. However, I felt that it could get better. I called the office to request the appointed employee to spray inside. He had usually sprayed outside. He came inside once. We have had this service since April, 23. The one time he came in, we discovered only one ant that was seen. We were happy, however, during the next visit, I asked the appointed employee to come inside, however, he stated that he didn't need to and he was spraying something outside that should help. However, about a week or so later, all-----broke loose. We had ants everywhere. The bathroom, baseboard, etc. They agreed to return again for $91 charge for October. By then, the ants had moved to the kitchen area. We discovered that they were in the sink, some cabinets, behind the stove and even in the Refrigerator! We were in trouble. We cancelled our service and because of that we paid for October and they stated that the pest control and termite control were connected. We had to pay $300 also. Unfortunately, we kept the termite service. I am terribly upset with our results for the pest control. I hope we don't feel the same about the termite control. I have not experienced this even in older homes. I don't understand what happened.......?

I started getting emails from this company out of nowhere, with no introduction or explanation that…read morethey go by a different name (Pestban) in my area--just straight to sales. The sales rep, Deanna, was confusing, overly pushy, and sent multiple contracts before I even confirmed interest. Her excessive calls and emails were off-putting, and I seriously considered not using the company because of her. If this is her sales style, she needs training. If the company allows it, shame on them. Then Josh Klein showed up at my house (part of my builder contract), and he completely turned things around. He was professional, knowledgeable, and the only reason I decided to subscribe. The service itself is great--non-toxic and quick. Their website isn't very user-friendly on mobile, and they only accept card or ACH, which isn't ideal. Four stars because of Josh and the service. Minus one for Deanna.

We had a new technician every month, and could not be certain that we were getting the Eco service we'd contracted for. Sometimes you could smell it, sometimes not. One tech told us that the gecko droppings were "probably rat droppings." Another one said he was headed home and there wasn't time to "mix up more," so he was going to do just a partial treatment even though we had had issues with Palmetto bugs. When I cancelled service (after 21 years), they didn't even ask why. Clearly, they don't care about customer service. Glad to be done with them.
