One thing that has always been solid is the food. They have expanded the menu over the years so very likely you can find something you like. Love the flatbread pizzas. Folks who work here are exceptional. Friendly, hardworking, putting in great effort to make you feel welcome. Prices are very good, even in tourist season. This place is great. I wish it was closer to home.

But their sweet potato fries are also great. I've had the wraps (several different ones) and they are tasty and yummy. I'm never there late enough for the ribs but one day I'll give those a try - I hear they're fall-apart-on-the-bone mouthwatering to die for!!! Atmosphere is amazing!!! Fresh, gorgeous flowers, water feature, tons of old country decor & big umbrellas. During the winter time, the fireplace is always roaring & warms the setting. Overall; great place, great food, great friendly service & I'll always come back. If you're heading up to Priest Lake for recreation, this is a 'must stop' place for food,,,and they have a little convenience store & gas station too. ***** 5-Stars

We were both warmly greeted right away and offered that cold drink we were both seeking. Our bartender, Slade, was very friendly and brought us warm foccacia bread with drizzled huckleberry sauce on it. We ordered the steak satay which was wonderfully marinated and soft enough to melt in your mouth - delicious. The foccaia bread was worth the trip alone. Slade was being assisted by Selene, behind the bar, who must have overheard us talking about taking the Foccacia bread home and immediately went into action preparing it for travel with a little extra huckleberry sauce for the road. Fabulous place, great surroundings and friendly staff - all around a great place to go.

Hostess then arrived and got us seated right away despite it being a bustling night. GREAT ambience - lively but not loud - no need to raise voice to talk with your party. Server came out promptly and took great care of us. My sister got the Jasmine and it was as great tasting as it was beautiful - tart, so if you like tart drinks get it and don't think twice. The Focaccia Bread WITH the steamer clams was a great appetizer (soak the bread in the tomato juice!) and the entrees were SO GOOD. The Chilean Sea Bass was PERFECTLY cooked and was up there in the best we've ever had. The pesto gnocchi + squash it rested on was delightful and the perfect combination. The Peruvian Chicken was ALSO perfectly cooked and its sauce was to die for. The potatoes that went along with were salted just right. Great great great, highly recommend whether you're having dinner or going to the bar with a friend for a LIVELY kind of experience

A deeper dive showed a good possibility of gluten free options, so I made the reservation. I was in town on a Monday, just after Hoopfest, but they were the kind of busy where a reservation should always be made I think. My table was ready and I sat in the bar at a high top table. I think I would choose "in the dining room" next time. My server was friendly and quick, as well as knowledgeable about gluten free options. There is even a separate menu that lays out the dishes that are already gf or could be made to be. Love this, always. I ordered the summer salad to start. It was amazing. Flavorful. Fresh. The mint wasn't overpowering, the watermelon was the perfect ripeness. It was so good. I would try to recreate it but it was done so well, and I know I couldn't hit that dressing in the same way. Get it while you can. For my main, I had ordered the scallops in my brain before I even arrived. The risotto was a little soupy, but the flavor was SO good. The corn came through and it went so well with the scallops. The tomatoes were quite over salted, but as long as I didn't eat them alone, it was alright. The scallops were perfectly cooked and I felt like the portion was appropriately sized for the dish, even though there were only 4. My server really made the experience enjoyable. The atmosphere was busy but the booths looked like they could be cozy. The prices were on the higher end. But for a special occasion, it was worth it. I really wished I'd had room for dessert. I will surely go back the next time I am in town.

First off, I was looking for an authentic Napoli style pizza. Like a fresh red sauce from crushed tomatoes and a beautiful chewy, pillowy, yet charred crust. The verdict: Wooden City is the winner! The crust is really really good! The sauce is a bright beautiful tomato sauce that looks like crushed tomatoes however, the sauce was lacking flavor:( I would give this pizza a 3 out of 5. The crust is a 4 1/2 star but the sauce lacking in flavor..brought it down to a 3. Cute place, very pleasant friendly staff..way friendlier vibe than Barrelhouse. The boys are easy on the eyes for younger girls on the hunt! Lmao Don't bother with the Margherita pizza at Barrelhouse. Thank God I only paid $12 for the Margherita Monday deal of half off! The crust was horrible! Dominos has better crust! Costco pizza's had a better crust! The sauce has flavor, very garlicky like fresh garlicky but more of a paste with a load of oregano in it. The cheese didn't have that fresh taste I was hoping for. However, they are known for their Detroit pizza's which I haven't tried but if it's the same sauce, I would pass. Not saying it's bad but it's just not MY cup of tea whether it's for a Detroit style or any pizza. Now you don't have to guess which place has a better Margherita pizza. I wouldn't even pay $12 at Barrelhouse for a marg. Would I come back, yes, if I were in my 20's.. lol but since I'm older and the food is more important to me...no...:/ But hey, maybe their other pizza's are better! I can see a salty pepperoni being good!

I think it's part of the Stoneridge Grill food group. It took awhile (years) for this business to open but now that it has, I am impressed. My custom mocha, light on the chocolate and heavy on the espresso shots was good, a rarity for random roadside coffee stands, at least in my experience whose taste for mochas has been trained by Starbucks for years. The breakfast burrito was also good, although not as good as the ones sold at the EZ-Stop convenience store/gas station across the street ( . . . which are the best in the county in my opinion. The only problem with those is there are less than a dozen of them and you usually have to get there early before 7:30 to score one.) Compliments for the cheerful service and above-average mocha from an experienced barista, Odessa. I don't know what brand of coffee is being used or if it's a trade secret but, yeah, good experience. I will be back.

We didnt even get to try the food since no one took our order after sitting for 45 minutes. When we first walked in we stood around at the door entrance because there were no signs stating if you seat yourself or not. A waitress walked up to us, told us she doesn't know if there's room for us and when we asked about the deck she said "well idk I'm working inside not outside" and proceeded to not help us in any way. We seat ourselves on the deck and after 20 minutes someone brings us water in a stained plastic pitcher (But this wasn't our waitress.) We poured the water just for it to taste and smell like beer. When we took a whiff of the pitcher, it reeked. After another 25 minutes of watching the only waitress on the deck go around to all the tables but ours, we decided to go elsewhere. There was another table next to us that got there at the same time and we watched her take their order, then go across the deck to another table that was ordering more items. I understand being understaffed but it would be nice to have clean water and to be greeted. The only person who greeted us was the nice old man who came to play country music with his guitar.
