I scheduled an appt and he didnt show up the day of because I didnt answer his call when he tried confirming about an hour before the appt. I would assume you confirm your schedule at least a day before. My phone was on silent and i missed the call and when I realized it was past appt time, I checked and had a missed call . Strike 1. We rescheduled as he explained they get burned and need to confirm appt (ok, maybe do the day before). He did show at the next appt during our scheduled appt time, measures a few windows and I had to track down quote because he forgot to send. Besides being a small and local business, Mario and his staff provide exceptional customer service. We called Drapery Tradition to get a blackout window covering for our toddler's bedroom, window covering for our family room windows to cut the glare on our TV, and covering for a slider in another bedroom to cut the glare and cool off the room. Mario came over within a few days to take measurements and give recommendations. His recommendations were perfect. The window treatments came within a month and they were installed immediately. They were installed in about an hour and we were immediately impressed. We have been extremely grateful for the customer service by all the staff at Drapery Tradition and were are more than satisfied with the window treatments that Mario recommended. This is a privately owned and operated business serving San Diego, but they performed better than…read moreany big company could have on all fronts. Bob (co-owner with wife Lizzie) came out personally for the first assessment. We really didn't know the difference between blinds, shades, shutters, etc, but he brought us catalogs and we recognized shutters as the "window treatments" we liked best having stayed in air-bnbs. Turns out we have great taste, because this is NOT the cheapest way to go, but they worked with us on the cost so we could get what we wanted without breaking our budget. Now that the shutters are installed, I'm so glad we were able to make it happen. Our home looks completely transformed. The turn-around time was most impressive. A co-worker told me we might have to wait 2-3 months for shutters to be manufactured. We also recently replaced our windows and didn't want to re-hang the old blinds. Express Blinds had custom shutters made for 18 windows, a sliding door, and a half-circle window in 3 weeks! We worked with Linda to arrange for the installation to follow within a week of the window installation. She too is top-notch professional. She waited on me to get her a target date based on windows, then arranged for the installation to come less than a week later. She even called the afternoon before to tell me exactly when they would arrive. They arrived on time and completed the entire job in a single day. This was as stress free as a home-improvement project can be; we highly recommend Express Blinds!
