I needed three keys cut for my home. Three Kwickset #1's, I already had the three blanks and just needed them cut. The gentleman said that it was $1.99 per blank to purchase them and have them cut , But I already had the blanks. He then cut my blanks and charged me for my own blanks at $1.99 each. When i asked about this he said they don't have a (just cut fee) so that's how they do it. Does this seem right to anyone? read more

Worst store and rewards program that ever existed. The store is convenient but the rewards discounts and account numbers don't do shit. I took a coupon in on 11/2. Good only for 11/2. And it didn't work despite checking all exclusions. Never going back except emergencies. read more

They call them selfs helpful ace yet this is the least helpful store I've ever entered. I know they have a couple good reviews yet every time I've been there , I've asked for help they have given me the wrong thing due to the employees lack of knowledge and experience. MY husband is legally blind and needs a help but will never go back to this store because it's to frustrating to deal with someone who is suppose to know 'hardware' and can't get the right pliers. MY husband used to be a finish carpenter And yet will have an employee act like they know more than he does and argue with him on a tool, or a part that he knows he needs-due to his experience. This store needs to live up to its name and and hire someone who can actually be helpful and has some experience. read more

Got there today at 5p (closing time) and the employee letting folks out at the door ready to lock up would not even let me buy one screw which would haven taken 1 min. I try to give the local guys (vs big box stores) biz when I can but they have to go the extra mile on service since they can't compete on price. I came in to buy 2 Park Benches and they only had one. Cody, one of the store clerks, checked the back for me and called the other stores to check to see if they had them. This is my last purchase from Ace. Had a sealed item to return with receipt purchased the day before. Took 5 minutes to get a manager whose attitude was completely unkind. The Ace policy of requiring an address for a return is absolutely unacceptable on privacy concerns alone, but that info is completely unnecessary. I wont shop at this store or any Ace. And anything CEO John Huizen? Is involved in, forget it. He owns the crap he broke -- he just won't take it back without privacy violations. Enough. read more

I find the people they're very helpful and they have a lot of neat stuff.

I showed up at 5:02 pm and they close at 5. I only needed a small bolt that would have taken less than 1 minute to grab and get to the counter. The guy at the store was adamant about not letting me in, even after I showed him what I needed. There were two people I could see at the cash register and I would have been there with my little bolt before they checked out. I asked for the manager and he said he was the manager. I was shocked and told that is bad business. He didn't really seem to care. On another note, it's hard to get help when I do go here. The employees walk around with, it seems, no purpose. I "used" to go here for convenience, not anymore. Very disappointed. read more

The WORST customer service I have ever received. I called up ask for a part, they had it, so I asked them to hold it for 20 minutes as I drove down to the store. I get there, and they sold it. The employee had the nerve to jokingly laugh about it. As I am leaving another employee asks if I need help, I explain the situation and says well maybe Tractor Supply has it. So guess what, the big box store is where I will do my shopping for now on. Try to work with the mom and pop store and this is what you get, wasted gas and wasted time. read more
