Date of Visit: 10/6/2026 Visited the Hardware Coffee Co. with my friend and her baby together on a Tuesday afternoon. Located right next to West Portal Muni Station, and the location is very convenient. The West Portal location was just opened back in May 2026, with a spacious dining area and a loft space. Flowers by Dasluz welcoming you into the space, and they are also offering workshops every months for people who are interested. There is another Hardware Coffee Co. location at the Ghirardelli Square which opened back in Summer of 2025. It was a small coffee stand, which is a great coffee place to visit for a cup of coffee to-go. We sat on the first floor near the back side next to the merchandise wall. Our table was big enough and has some space next to our table to fit 2 strollers and our babies. Latte $6.5 I got the regular latte with whole milk. Iced Tea $5 My friend got the iced tea. Raspberry Bowtie $6 I ordered the cute raspberry bowtie. Crispy on the outside and with raspberry jam inside. Kouign Amann $5.5 My friend got the Kouign Amann. Also quite tasty but the one from b. Patisserie was better.

Such a cute cafe with amazing coffee. We went around 8am on a weekend and it wasn't crowded at all. The inside is bright & beautiful with plenty of seating. For food, we tried the Hardware Egg Sandwich (oven fried egg, cheddar, bacon, English muffin) and pain suisse. Both were delicious, but the coffee was the star! It's a great spot to get some work done and we saw a few people working on their laptops. Just be mindful of their cafe policy of 90 minutes of non-social laptop time and only one large screen, as the vision of the cafe is community over co-working. Service was super friendly & fast. It was easy to find street parking nearby in the morning.

Super packed on a Friday. Got a cappuccino and it was strong. Clean aesthetic, two floors. A section with merch and a flower station (sometimes they do work shops). It's loud enough where you may not be able to hear the full conversation of the table next to you, but the chatter will be there. Bring earplugs if that's an issue.

Such a lovely coffee shop, busy but never too crowded. I've been able to find a space to sit with no issues. This space is big and bright, maintained well and even has a flower shop in the back! I love that. I got the matcha here the first time, it was OK. More milky than I like. The last time I got the slush, it's strawberry lemonade and perfect for a warm SF day. I also ordered the smoked salmon toast, delicious! If you're in the area def give them a try.

The drinks are a bit more than usual cafe. My latte was more bitter than usual. $0.75 cent up charge for nondairy milk. My husband didn't finish the slushy because it was too sweet for him but also not many none caffeinated drinks according to him. It was pretty loud in the cafe too, so you should bring your own ear buds if you plan on sitting in. They also ran out of pastries when we got here in the afternoon. Overall, drink is 2/5, vibe atmosphere 4/5, I would still come back but only for pastries.

Great place to chill and have a mimosa for happy hour (20% off), while studying, reading a book, or just relaxing. Lots of space though it looks crowded everytime I go. I had to squeeze in a spot when I go in the late afternoon. But there's many tables. Pastries were ok. Staff is friendly and inviting. Really no complaints

This is a really nice coffee shop in this part of town. There is plenty of space to sit down and eat, or stand and people watch above! I came around noon and most pastries were out but I enjoyed the kouign amann that I ordered. I'm not sure if the make it in house or get it from elsewhere. Their food menu looks nice as well!

The space is cool! Able to get flowers in the back of the store. Also wine is available too. Street parking can be tough, but there's some residential parking. Went during weekday morning, at 8:30AM, plenty of tables available. Gets busy with limited tables around 9:30AM. The pastries were quite large and priced well. Of course I got the bowtie pastry ($6) which is a croissant filled with raspberry. I do wished the raspberry was more even spread throughout the croissant. The latte ($6.50) was okay, standard, was not my favorite, the beans or espresso shot tasted bitter. The peach espresso tonic was unique, it had the peach flavor with compliments well with coffee. Luckily, the employees weren't too strict on the 90 minute internet usage. Overall, good place to hangout, coffee can be better.

Finally made it. Great location. Love the comfy and casual vibe. 2 levels, bench and chair seating. They sell branded merch and sell flowers. Friendly staff and efficient service. Love the no frills drink menu. Overall, a solid spot to catch up and enjoy the caffeine.

Decaf cappuccino

Really cute cafe and perfect for remote work! Quick wifi, lots of seating, and good working ambiance. Got a decaf cappuccino for $5.50. They do ask you limit laptop time to 90mins. Eyeing the tomato pesto pastry and matcha for next time!

Wow, another great addition to West Portal! It was busy on a Saturday mid morning. You order at the cashier and find your own table. It can be a little tricky with a larger party since there are mostly smaller tables and single seat spots. It does seem like a perfect spot to bring your laptop, enjoy a nice cup of coffee/sandwiches, or catch up with friends. We ordered the turkey panini with bacon and the tuna melt open face. Decent sandwiches you can taste the ingredients and they load it up with turkey and tuna. The mocha was yummy and iced americano was decent, with chocolately coffee notes. The interior is beautiful, I believe it used to be the old hardware shop.

I don't usually like acidic coffees but this one was special! I got their oat latte and it was acidic but creamy and had a complex depth of flavor. their tomato pesto croissant was so flavorful too, I only wish it was heated up. the 2-storey + florist space is gorgeous, highly recommend!

Lavender iced latte with oat milk

Quite a busy cafe on a Saturday afternoon. Although there are plenty of tables, we had a bit of wait to snag one. This cafe offers both beer on tap and your usual coffee. I ordered a lavender iced latte with oat milk. The lavender flavor was almost non-existent and the sweetness was off the charts. The coffee was also too light for my taste, maybe the ice diluted it. The fieldwork beer was refreshing. Place is pretty loud so bring headphones if you're hoping to study unless you like it loud. It was even hard to hear the person sitting across from me. Not a place I'd frequent.

Thank you Diosa for making my wedding dreams come true! I…read morehad a specific color palette and wanted their pampas fans, so I specifically went with them. No one else around has what they have! Everything was so smooth sailing with them, and they even delivered all the way from the bay to Sacramento. Thank you thank you thank you!

Wow. I am very disappointed with my flowers. I had ordered these flowers to congratulate a friend…read moreon her promotion and I am extremely embarrassed at what she received. I had specifically ordered from Diosa because of how beautiful and whimsical the floral designs were on their Instagram and their website. I had even paid the extra delivery fee to get this delivered outside their service area because I was happy to support this small business! But what I got was a sad average looking floral arrangement that I could have gotten from a grocery store (see picture). This is certainly not the value of a $135 arrangement that is depicted on their website. Additionally, their website says that they include a hand written card. I wasn't expecting an actual big folded card with envelope, but at the very least I expected it on a blank notecard?I certainly wasn't not expecting the note to be on their business flyer which I find to be a little tactless, considering how I emphasized that these were exciting congratulatory flowers being sent to a professional office when placing my order with them over phone. I even asked if the medium was a good size to send since the large vase arrangement looked really huge on the website. And they assured me that the arrangement would be about 1.5/2 feet tall. As you can see from my photo this was not even 1 foot tall. I would have gladly paid for the large vase arrangement if it meant a more impressive floral arrangement. But sadly I don't think I would have gotten anything better if I ordered the large vase arrangement. I understand that flowers are seasonal and I wasn't going to get exactly what they have on their website. But the arrangement I received isn't even in the same realm of the arrangements on their site and Instagram. I will say their customer service was good and they were able to deliver. But I definitely won't be ordering from here again. Total bummer since I was really hoping to support them again in the future.

The first time I came here to purchase a bouquet was in March, and I've since bought three more…read morebouquets and will continue to be a returning customer. It has quickly become my go-to flower shop. Service is very quick, price is reasonable, and there is a variety of beautiful flowers to choose from. You can tell that the owner is very knowledgeable and has been running this corner shop for many years. I've specified for my bouquets to be cat-friendly and have never had an issue. You can either tell him what color palette you're going for, pick out the flowers yourself, or give a price range for him to arrange a set for you. Very quick in and out! They accept Apple Pay. The only small nit is that I wish this shop had materials to decorate the bouquet up a bit more to make the packaging more presentable. They do add a colored ribbon of your choice, but it's just a simple, thin ribbon wrapped around the brown paper. Not a huge deal, the bouquet will eventually go into a vase anyway.

So, like I often do, I went to Yelp! I came across several florists, but my eyes gravitated to the one with 5 stars and a good number of reviews. I called, spoke with Juan (who was delightful) and put together an arrangement that he said would be delivered the next morning. Next morning comes and I receive a text from my client who was so thankful and a picture of the arrangement. Needless to say Juan/"Flower Corner" has a new client. Big thanks again for impeccable service and a top-quality product that is made from the heart.
